Can't enable Google Now after a factory reset topic

Hi, I have an M8 I converted into GPE. I used stock GPE until November when SkyDragon's Lollipop rom was released and ran SD until last week. I wanted to go back to stock so I ran graffixnyc's 5.01 RUU and everything was fine. Then, I wanted to mess with xposed so I ran it for a few days. I decided to get rid of it so I ran another RUU last night.

However, when I set up my new device Google Now was not brought up in the setup. Additionally, I can no longer swipe from the left to bring up Google Now. The search bar still works, but I cannot enable Google Now. I've tried everything. Clearing app data, cache, booting into safe mode, wiping cache partition, and just now RUU'd again but to no avail. Is there anything you all recommend? Attached are what the Google Settings screens looked like before and after updating the Google app.

I really want to be able to plug in my nexus 6 on my car and be able to play audio. But no matter what I do nothing happens. Anyone have a solution?

Can't enable Helium backup on G3 D855 topic

Hello,
I have some problems after updating to Lollipop (sudden shutdowns) and I read a hard reset might help, so I wanted to backup my game progress with Helium before I erase everything.
I did everything as described on Carbon instructions, installed Helium desktop, even Chrome Helium addon, I have a premium version app on my G3 and LG unified drivers installed on my Win7 pc... what happens is that on the desktop app it says that backup on my phone is enabled, but on my phone it says "waiting for backup to be enabled..." and stays like that forever.
I tried deleting the drivers and installing again, nothing, I even tried Verizon set of drivers, nothing. I switched usb methods from MTP to PTP... nothing. My phone is recognised in Device manager properly and on LG PC suite too, but Helium android app fails to get enabled.

Did anyone have a problem of this kind, and what's the solution?
I'm running 20h firmware stock no root.

Galaxy S5 G900W8 cant enable LTE (ex. Wind Mobile phone) topic

Hi there,

Im not sure if this was discussed about this particular situation.

I recently switched from Wind mobile to Fido which offers LTE connection. Unfortunately Wind disabled Lte network mode :( And the only mode I can connect to is 3g.

I have rooted the phone and tried various methods on how to enable LTE
including guide on xda how to enable all bands.

The only thing i have not tried is flashing new modem firmware.

Here is my question:
1. Would flashing new modem firmware enable lte network mode?
if so which modem firmware should i use and is there a guide?
2. Would upgrading to new rom solve the issue?

Please help me, thank you for any suggestions.

Enable Softkeys Fullscreen topic

I'm using Kodi on my tablet, but one problem I've encountered is that the softkeys always hide.

Now, I can't remember if it was an app or an Xposed module that allowed you to enable immersive/show hide notification panel/softkeys per app basis.

I got a coolpad 7620L and wanted to connect adb.
When I click USB debugging on the developers options, I got "Need to produce more than 5 minutes to open the ADB" dialogbox.
Does anybody know what this means? How can I enable USB debugging?

The bootloader is locked and the phone is unrooted.
USB debugging is disabled.
I forgot the lock screen PIN.
Both data connection and WiFi are disabled.
Is there any way to get internet access?

Galaxy S5 cannot enable Wi-Fi topic

Hi there.

I have the international version of Galaxy S5 (GM-900F) and yesterday I was trying to recover all saved Wi-Fi passwords on my phone. I installed couple of apps from the Google Play Store and uninstalled them all as they didn't work. Since then I cannot enable Wi-Fi. When I tap on the Wi-Fi icon nothing happens it just stays turned off. 4g is fine, but when I enable personal hotspot I get a notification that Wi-Fi will have to be turned off before the hotpot can be enabled. The thing is Wi-Fi is turned off and I still get the same notification.

My phone is rooted but I never had that problem. I flashed the firmware again as I thought the apps messed up some settings,but that didn't help. I dropped the phone couple of times, can the antenna inside break?

Is there anything else I can try before doing a factory reset?

I bought s5 G900P from ebay, i live in Israel and 3G works fine (sometimes with issues) ....i've trying to run the 4G...

When i enable 4G in settings, the phone reboots and then there IS NO SIGNAL......and iget a message that i'm ROAMING and lost connection ???????

I was running 4.4.4 and now it's on MOAR 6 OA6 ....but still same issues with the 4G !!!

Is there a way to make this 4G work ???
Any ROM can fix this ????

Hi there I have been searching for away to unlock my samsung s5 for months now as i do not want to loose my data with a reset . [Q] Enable USB Debugging tools through ADB in recovery mode topic

So, my digitizer is broke and I can't see anything or use the touch.

I am able to get into recovery mode with ADB and I tried some echo lines to manually activate debug mode, so that I can have my device authorized to use with ADB afterwards.
I'm trying to use Androidscreencast, but I need to make it work with ADB first and since I get device unauthorized it means that I don't have usb debugging enabled.

The final question : How can I activate debug mode without a screen?

This app will enable native call record on N4 different variants. This will simply replace add call (+) button with record button.

Installation and use

-Install attached app as regular apk
-Open app and long press on enable manual call record to enable it. (same way you can disable it too)
-Grant SU (Needs root)
-Wait till pop up message to reboot device.
-Once you reboot device, dialer + button will be replaced by record button
-You can uninstall app now.

[Q] HTC Desire stuck on startup logo and cant enable debugging topic

Hey all,

First off I'm a bit of a n00b with all this stuff so please could you be as basic and precise as possible when answering the question? And take me step by step of whats needed to be done? Thanks :) Also I'm using a MacBook Pro.

The phone is stuck on the hts logo and won't pass it. nothing happens and won't startup or anything.
I need to unlock boot loader but cant do this because I cant enable debugging because the phone won't sync to any pc or even through HTC sync because the phone cant turn on.

This is what comes up when I turn on using down volume button

I read up about flashing in a custom ROM or something but apparently I cant do this since "S-ON". And it gets a bit complicated from there for me. Please could anyone explain very simply to me how to get out of this hole I'm in. Can't seem to do anything due to the phone being stuck on the startup h&c logo screen. Tried factory resort and deleted cache etc. Nothing seems to budge it.
