Samsung S6 VR2 topic

The announcement this morning looks like they have fixed the screen door effect on the new Gear VR2 for Samsung S6. Some of the other new features are outlined below such as comfort and ability to charge while using the VR! The new inprovements look great but it kinda makes me feel like us original Note 4 users are gonna get left behind with all new improvements created for the new S6. What is everyone's thoughts on this? Worth upgrading from the Note 4 for this or do you think the screen door effect will still exist?

hello sir i m from pakistan i am using samsung galaxy grand i9082 with official 4.1.2 rom. one week ago i flashed it to 4.2.2 official rom all is well but power button menu and lock screen not work.then i downgrade it to 4.1.2 but not working so plz help me i am much worried about it :(

I have a Galaxy S5, I rooted it awhile back, I removed the root, then when I went to apply the update, it said my Operating System had been modified in an unauthorized way. Is there a way to get the 5.0 update although I get the unauthorized modification notice?

Hi guys, i have an HTC Sensation and delta-roh has released this amazing TURBO DATA MOD to use SD-EXT as new Data partition, solving the problem of the poor internal memory.
My girlfriend have the Galaxy W, so i know that the poor internal memory is a problem that afflicts this phone too.
In the first post there's this:
"This is ONLY for the HTC Sensation/XE; it can work also for flashable images of other devices, but then you have to open the batch mni.bat file in the directory @bins and to change the strings for userdata_org1/2, userdata_new1/2 - however, you should only do this if you know exactly what you are doing - and look out the string pairs org1/new1 and org2/new2 have to have the same length! NO SUPPORT!"

So here's my question: Can this mod be used for the W?

hello,
i have bricked my gt - i8262
during installation of twrp on my galaxy core i rerooted to twrp and tried to install a new rom w/o erasing anything (my fault :crying:)
after that i rebooted my galaxy core now it's not booting ,it hangs on original boot loader and if i press VOL DOWN + HOME + power it shows vol up button to continue.
if i press vol UP + HOME + POWER NO USE ,
ultimately i am not able to load twrp and hence i can't use my phone plz help

You want to need
- Odin (i attached on the post)
- Stock rom (odin package) (search your device stck rom on google)
- Download keis for your phone
-Download drivers for your phone

Instruction
- Download your stock rom & odin for your phone , i say you download splited ( SplitFUS2 ) odin package
- install drivers
- install keis
- open odin
- connect your device and boot to download mode
- press&hold (vol- , power and home button) or press&hold (vol- ,vol+ and power button) or search on google
Check when you connect your phone you will see in box ID:COM3
- tick only auto reboot & f.reset time
- add files
- in PDA - PDA_xxxxx_xxxxxx.tar.md5
- in MODEM - PHONE_xxxxx_xxxxx.tar.md5
- in CSC - CSC_xxxxx_xxxxx.tar.md5
if you have - in BOOTLOADER - DefaultCaldataWithboot_xxxxxxxxxx_xxxxx.tar.md5
after you add all files .click start
if Completed odin shows PASS!

[Q] Update Android 4.4.2 on Samsung Note II (N7100) to Android 5 topic

Hi! After a review of many upgrade videos on various sites and forum, I had decided to upgrade Android 4.4.2 on my Note II (N7100) to Android 5. It may be noted that I have not flashed my root.
After the initial wipes and factory reset, the next step was to go to advanced setup and perform a Dalvik wipe. However, under the recovery menu I was unable to find this option. The forum also suggested to install the Cyanogenmod zip file. Though I had the same copied on the SD card it did not recognize while flashing. Tried installing the google apps and even that did not install.

Finally, the system did an automatic restart and the OS was restored to Android 4.4.2.

Can you suggest a way to upgrade my handset to Android

New to Samsung topic

I have been a Sony user since 2011 and never tried other brands but now I switched to Galaxy S5 and I'm kinda feel noob now
The model number is "SM-G900F" and I noticed that there are other Galaxy S5 aside from this.
Is the CM12 on official nightlies "klte" is the same for all? or is there a specific baseband for each. I wanna try some kernel and AOSP based rom.
By the way my phone is still on 4.4.2. Ive heard there is 4.4.4 and 5.0.

Im used to doing modding on sony locking unlocking first bootloader before flashing kernel then flash rom. Is there a big difference when it comes to samsung? particularly Galaxy S5

[Q] Samsung S5 SM-G900X demo unit help topic

Hi people,

I was given a Samsung S5 SM-G900X live demo unit from a friend, he asked if i could remove the retail side of it and use it as a normal stock S5. After doing some research i have managed to remove the retail app but i am not sure if i can flash it to stock as the 900X is only wifi, no calls or texts, is this correct?

The S5 does have a sim card tray if this helps.

Samsung Galaxy S4 cellular network not working after flashing firmware topic

I am completely stumped after struggling with this problem for the last 3 days. I'll explain what happened in detail.

I loaded a custom rom for my phone, Liquid smooth rom, to be specific. I tried to encrypt my phone, but after 3 hours it only showed the bootloader and did not show any noticeable signs of progression, so I rebooted and factory reset to try and fix my phone, as it could not mount the internal sdcard. Factory reset did not work, so I downloaded a stock firmware version for my country and phone, from sammobile. A friend suggested that I try and get the pit details from heimdall, but heimdall could not. Friend then suggested that I reload the usb driver for the phone through Zega, and then try and try and print the pit details again. It still did not want to print pit details, and the stock firmware finished downloading so I just flashed it (first tried XFE version firmware).

Flashing went fine, cellular network did not want to work. I then flashed the custom rom, again, and the cellular network still did not want to work. I downloaded a different firmware version (XFA), and had the same result. I tried a factory reset, no result. I tried flashing again, no result. I eventually tried different combinations of the various firmwares available, no result. Today I also tried downloading a firmware version from April 2013, to see if it will make any difference, and no result. I tested my sim card in another device, and it worked fine. I tested a sim card identical to mine in my own phone, and the network still did not work. I tried various combinations of factory resetting, installing custom roms, flashing firmware, and nothing works. It does not want to detect my sim card, but before the encryption process my network worked fine. I also tried taking my sim out, and leaving it out for a while. I tried turning my phone on with the sim in, and it didn't work.

Any ideas, please?

[Q] Samsung Galaxy App Store, where is it? topic

So I have a stock unrooted Note 4. On TouchWiz I have two widgets, Galaxy Apps Essentials, and Galaxy Apps Gifts, both of these widgets take me to a page showing some apps, and then there is a see more Galaxy Apps link at the bottom. Clicking that link takes me to Samsungs App store. I can not find an App just for the Galaxy App Store though. Is there suppose to be one? Is there a way to get to it that I don't know? On my Note 10.1 2014 there is a Galaxy App store apk and app installed that lets me update these apps.

Going to the Samsung page to download the APK like I found elsewhere, there is nothing there for my phone.

Any ideas? Right now I want to use a non stock launcher, but that disables the widgets to get to the store.
