Anyone experience this issue with their WiFi? topic

So recently my phone's battery has been drianing even while in deep sleep.

I noticed that even though I'm on my home WiFi, and the the phone works perfectly on the WiFi, that Better Battery Stats says that I have no data connection while connected to the the WiFi.

So if I leave it on WiFi for 1 hour, the I have service with no issues, but it also says I have no data connection for that hour. How can that be? How can I have Data, yet the phone says I don't?

If I turn WiFi off, I have no issues. 1 hour of mobile data, no issues with service, and the no data connection is gone

I'm actually getting better battery life on mobile data than WiFi.

These stats are all on Batter battery stats.

My VZW S4 is on the NC5 software and I'm on the MK2 bootloader and radios.

I also upgraded to the Verizon Fios Quantum 5ghz router, so I don't know if this is the difference. But my wife's S5 isn't having these issues. My S4 repeated disconnects from the router's 5ghz, but her S5 does not! I believe it's ll related.


Any ideas would greatly help!

they either removed it or holding it back

[Q] All user apps crash immediately as of this morning, Galaxy S Blaze 4G topic

Last weekend I flashed the most recent CM 11 version and the Pico GApps package (from here). The phone has worked perfectly since then, very fast, no issues at all.

This morning when I turned it on I immediately saw 'Android is Upgrading' and 'optimizing __ of 42 apps.' I have all auto-updates and syncs disabled, and this is the first time this has happened.

When the phone finished booting, it told me that Chrome and my email app and AV crashed. Opening any user app results in the app crashing immediately.

I tried rebooting, same result, same Upgrading message.

I rebooted to recovery and cleaned the cache and Dalvik cache. This time I see 'Android is Upgrading' and 'optimizing __ of 132 apps.' When it finished booting, same thing - a few apps crash immediately, all other user apps crash when opening.

What's happened to my phone? I'm new at this, it's getting frustrating. I don't know why it was upgrading anything to start with...

I am not entirely sure if it is an android bug or specifically samsung. Anyway on my s5 and my N4 if I go to make a call occasionally it will say call not sent...when I go to redial the number the phone has already chosen a different contact at random to call...to make the issue worse the screen will then blink on and off in succession preventing me from stopping the random call...this seems to happen once or twice a week...I have already disabled the gesture option that calls people so I am at a loss here...anyone else experience this?

i don't know what i
should do.
So my Problem is I'm getting a wrong recovery when I reboot to it. It's
not the one I had before. My previos recovery was twrp . i flashed the
newest validus Rom for xperia z and it worked( lollipop). But i noticed a bug so i
wanted to get back but it didn't worked because the recovery was
gone. So i tried to install one via some apps .it didn't worked . I only got
a recovery with stock options nothing else. Then I flashed back to
stock 4.4.2 and from that to cm 11 with lightning kernel ( lightning
kernel has twrp which is the one which used before).It worked out fine
but then i tried to flash the resurretion remix it worked but as i wanted
to Boot into twrp to flash Google apps i couldn't because this
cyanogen mod recovery was there again, out oft nowhere . i searched
for hours but couldn't find a solution. How do i get rid oft this recovery
and can get the Team win recovery back on lollipop.
Help would be very appreciated.( sorry for gramma errors, english is
not my mothertongue,i know it's anoying to read that all the time )

Hi!

Brand new to the group so I thought I'd say hi and ask this question.

You see, I have this problem with my SM-N910 (Galaxy Note 4 for N.A.) That I'd recently purchased here in Canada. Works just fine until suddenly, problems popped up. so I thought doing a factory reset would help solve the problem. Only to realize that, it made it somewhat worst. Because it went to being a Note 4 for Canada (N910) to a Note 4 for China (N9100), Plus it didn't help that now the Boot-Up screen went from showing that it's a "Samsung Galaxy Note 4 powered by Android" with Samsung logo showing up afterwards, to just "Android", with the Android logo showing up afterwards. Is there anyway of fixing this? Any and all advice would be definitely appreciated! Thanks in return! :)

It was a bitmap of my music covers that would appeare when song was playing. Hi guys,

I recently installed Simple ROM (Stock Android 5) for my G2 D802 however, I've found a need to downgrade back to 4.4.2. I went to flash a stock rooted 'H' version of the ROM which i've used before however during the flash, I got the error 'error executing updater binary' during the process.

After searching on google, it seems that I needed a newer version of TWRP (I had to change to a 'bumped' version to install the Simple ROM).

Having flashed 2.8.4 of TWRP, I rebooted the device however I now have the following issues:

- The device boots, shows the LG logo and the LED flashes
- The device never finishes it's boot
- I can not access recovery mode using the key combinations required
- The device doesn't seem to turn 'off'. When I press and hold the power button, the screen goes blank (though, still on) and then shows the LG logo again
I suspect, that because I cannot turn it off, I cannot boot to recovery.


Any thoughts on a quickfix?

EDIT: - It seems that I CAN turn the device off by holding vol UP, DOWN and POWER for a few seconds. I can get into download mode this way..

I've had this N9 LTE for about a week and a half, so i'm still not used to it fully, but this, this can't be normal right? I havn't seen a device take 10 hours to recharge 75% since the first iPhone in 2007. Plus I have ElementalX Kernal with fast recharge enabled...I don't get it

[Q] TF 700 only boots into TWRP - please advise this NOOB! topic

I have an unlocked TF700 (twrp v 2.5.0.0) and I was running cromi-x. it began to crash a lot so i tried to flash a new rom and i must've done something wrong because now the tablet will not boot up. I can get into twrp and perform the options listed (install, backup, restore, wipe, mount, settings, advanced, reboot) but nothing seems to help. I haven't played with this in probably 6 months so i'm not sure where to start. Navigating these forums is like reading latin to me. I'm sure there is an explanation for this but I can't find it. Can some one link me to an existing thread if this has been discusses previously or help me out? I can't seem to get anything working on this and it's driving me crazy. I know I need to provide extra information to help identify this issue but i'm not sure what that info that is. Any help would be appreciated!

Also, I've tried a factory reset from twrp as well and it gives me the following messages
E:unable to mount '/external_sdcard
Updating partition details...
E:Mount: Unable to find partition, for path '/'

When I reboot following this, it takes me directly to TWRP.

I'm guessing my tablet can't find my SD card? Maybe that's an easy fix?

[Q] Need help finding this image topic

Hello all in need of some help. I am currently on the awesomness we call DomPop:good:and have removed the volume safe warning dialouge the prompts when raising the volume to high when using headphones, what I would like to do is take the image from the system volume(volume slider that pops up when using no headphones) or any other volume slider that does not have the RED color in it and just use one of those images and rename to the image with the Red color in it but for the life of me I can not fing this said image, is it a .png or a qmg even if some one could nudge me with the name I can hunt it down from there but I am stumped. I have looked in the framework-res,SystemUI, and even the TouchWiz launcher and can not find this darn thing so any help or guidance will be much appreciated.:highfive:

I found this rootmyvalet apk on github. I tried to use it on my zte savvy, but it keeps throwing errors at me. anybody have any ideas on how make it work properly?
