[Q] Question about Stock vs Custom ROM topic

I recently needed to take my GT-N7000 to Sammy for a new audio jack socket so I had to reload the stock official ROM (Singapore Singtel) as well as resetting the binary count to zero. They won't even entertain out-of-warranty repairs if they see the phone has been modified even though they always wipe and reload the stock ROM as a matter of course.

Be that as it may. They repaired the phone and I re-installed the PhilZ CWM v6 recovery which I really like. However, I'm wondering whether it's worth bothering to reload the custom ROM I was using before (Ultimate XXLT4 JB 4.1.2).

The only reason I can think of for me would be if there was a battery life benefit. This ROM claims to be "battery friendly". Can anyone say with any accuracy what the difference would be compared to the official ROM? I recently put a new battery in the phone which makes it a bit difficult to tell.

This is my first post here. I have ordered Z Ultra which will be delivered most probably tomorrow. After ordering i read so many complaints about the screen self breaking problem in Xperia Z series and Sony is not covering it in warranty. I am confuse whether to keep the phone or should i return it. Or is there any way to save or protect the screen. Will applying tempered glass protector solve the problem. People has complained screen cracks even after few days of purchase. I am worried about it, dont want to waste my hard earned money :(
Please suggest guys about the protector.

Quick question about OTA updates topic

I am currently using a Samsung Galaxy S5 (AT&T) with cricket. Since the phone works flawlessly with just the cricket SIM in the phone. I had no reason to get it unlocked or had to change any internal apn settings. My question is with it being an AT&T phone using a cricket SIM card for service will it be able to receive OTA firmware updates? Thanks in advance.

[Q] Two questions about 5.0 ROMs topic

Hi,
I'm currently on stock 5.0 ROM (Simple ROM) but I prefer pure Android UI. I've got two questions:

1. Is there any fully-working and stable 5.0 ROM?


2. I'm on KK bootloader and TWRP 2.8.5.1 w/ Bump. Do I have to do anything if I want to flash non-LG 5.0 ROM?

Basic question about stock music player. topic

I have thousands of music files on my SD card. The stock music player seems to only be able to access and read ( when in shuffle mode under tracks ) some of my songs , meaning the ones only under tracks heading in shuffle mode. A little bit of research made me believe that the reason only half of my songs are listed under tracks is that the rest are within sub folders on the SD card and not accessible under tracks to be played via the shuffle method.

Any ideas on what I need to do to make all my songs accessible for shuffle play?

NOOB with a question about missing radio band after installing CM10.1.3 topic

Sorry if this has been answered but I searched quite a bit and didn't see anything that looked similar! I flashed my Atrix HD to CM 10.1..3 because the phone is old and was slowing down. This was my fist attempt at a process like this and I figured it out and the phone is working great except I don't get LTE speeds like I was getting before. After a lot of research I think I know why but I can't figure out the fix. I checked my wife's phone (stock S3) by dialing *#0011# and her radio band is band 17. I went into my settings using *#*#4636#*#* and there is no Band 17 available. The only bands it shows is AUS2, USA, Cellular, PCS, Band Class 6 and Band Class 15.
Is there a way to enable Band 17 in Cyanogenmod 10.1.3???

Doubt about drivers and custon Roms topic

I am a galaxy S3 user and change my rom very often.
Since KitKat the custom roms for S3 are very unstable.

Read about S3, I discovery the cause of instability are made by the "unsupported driver" by the processor manufacturer.

So, if LG G2 are made by Snapdragon 800, just like the nexus 5.
I can conclude if nexus 5 received an oficial android update it is possible the custom roms will use the oficial drivers made by Snapdragon, and the custom Roms will be more stable.

[Okay i'm going to be quite honest, i might sound like an idiot on my post haha.] I just got my LG G3 and i've already root'd and got twrp and everything but i just saw a thread about bump and "Unlocking your LG G3" and having to do with Bump. I'm curious does that mean you can unlock your phones sim?? lol i might sound like an idiot or does it mean that we can now flash roms from lets say the GSM model of the G3 or roms from the Verizon model etc. This isn't a troll post i'm just that stupid lol. Anyways if someone can help me get a better understanding of this Bump software.

I Really wondered where Amazon got there screensaver images from..... and now I know.....

I managed to locate the stock images that are poured down into the FTV, all 350mb plus of them.... Threads like this are well known in other forums such as Nexus, Sony, HTC etc (even in other forums like gtaforums, etc)
The goal of this is to post these little features or curiosities that makes our lifes a bit easier while using the Note 4.
I will start:

-If you recive a priority notification such as Whatsapp, SMS, lost call or an e-mail, if you pick up your device while is standing in a flat surface (a table, for example) and the screen is turned off, the phone will make two soft vibrations, remembering you to turn on the screen and view these notifications. (Kitkat and Lollipop)
