[Q] Are N910F roms compatible with N910G Device? topic

Sorry if this has already been posted but I am posting for a friend.

His handset is the N910G Variant and is having troubles installing roms. Im from the One M8 side so I dont exactly know what to do for him. So I'm after some help!

All the roms on the snapdragon forum is N910F and what happpens is that he gets bootloops after installing a new rom, its confusing because we just wanted to know is there any prerequisites prior to installing a N910F rom on a N910G device.
We have already rooted the phone and its got cwm recovery running on the device.

Posted this on a rom thread, when I should've asked here instead I recently got this phone repaired after finding it stored away, hasn't been used since snowjb came out, I like roms with tweaks, like pac roms with good battery life, I haven't done anything to it since it came out which rom would be best for me? looking for an android 5.x one.. not many have screenshots was kinda curious if anyone could point me in the right direction, thanks.

I've had this issues since I got my S5. TMO only gives me 4Glte and 4G, 2G. No 3G.. I only get 3G on custom ROMS like BlissPop 5.0. Any resolutions?

Problem with my HTC One M8 with ROMs? topic

I have tried to install a new custom ROM on my HTC One M8.

It has a unlocked bootloader, it's unlocked, rooted, and i've had InsertCoin and Paranoid Android, and CyanogenMod on it.
My device is S-ON.

However, lately I have not been able to update to any of the newer roms.
The ROMs that I have tried to install are:

HTC_One_(M8)_-_MaximusHD_11.0.0
insertcoin-m8_5.0.3_ART
ViperOneM8_4.2.0_v2

And none of them work except for
pa_m8-4.45-20140729

which is always my go-to ROM right now when the others fail so I don't soft brick it.

I do have a Nandroid in case everything goes to hell.

But my question is, what is wrong with my device and why can't I update to another ROM? It gets stuck at the HTC White Logo screen every single time with every ROM that fails.

[Q] Two questions about 5.0 ROMs topic

Hi,
I'm currently on stock 5.0 ROM (Simple ROM) but I prefer pure Android UI. I've got two questions:

1. Is there any fully-working and stable 5.0 ROM?


2. I'm on KK bootloader and TWRP 2.8.5.1 w/ Bump. Do I have to do anything if I want to flash non-LG 5.0 ROM?

[Q] Flash ROMs from one device to another topic

Is it possible to flash a stock ROM of device (a) using only another device (b) ?

Device (a) being the one that needs a stock ROM
Device (b) has an OTG support

Connect one device to the other using an OTG USB cable, and flash ROMs from one device to the other
I got this idea when I was tinkering with Mobile ODIN. If a device can "flash itself" shouldn't it be able to flash others?

is it possible? or am I drifting to the crazy side now? :p

Android IS a Linux distro, so it should be able to get drivers and flash other devices through USB, right? we would just need the apps.

and if it is possible, and already out there, any links, please?

I've been looking through roms listed at [INDEX]ROMs/Kernels/Tweaks[UPDATED-21/02/2015], but I can't seem to find any that support the z2a/canopus/D6563. Ideally there would be one with lollipop and some of the handy sony tools from stock, but I can't find any rom at all for the z2a.

Should I be looking in a different place?

With no SD Card, how do we flash ROMs and stuff like that?! topic

With all rumors pointing to no sd card on the S6 how do you flash ROMs?? I ask this bc then everything (pics, app/data, nandroids, flashables, etc.) will all have to be stored on the phone's internal sd card. So when you clean wipe your phone for a fresh install wouldn't everything just be deleted, including the ROM you were gonna flash lol?!

All of my previous phones have had sd cards so I'm inexperienced when it comes to no sd card!

[WorkAround]"Cant connect to camera" error in all cm11 based roms. topic

Ok guys!! We all know that we have been affected by "cant connect to camera error" in cm11 based roms.It is very frustrating being not able to capture at the right moment.So i here present a workaround method.By following this method we guys dont have to reboot our phones to fix the error.It is just a temporary fix that will somewhat "fix" the problem til or devs fixes it.

Follow these steps:-

1)Search for "cm11 camera fix" on play store. Or download the attached apk.(skip step 2 3 &4 if u downlaod attached app).
2)An app will appear "dont" install the app.
3)Open the description of the app and in the last u will find a link to "restart camera.apk".
4)Visit the link and downlaod the app.
5)Install it and Now whenever u face the error , just click on the " restart camera"app..
6)This will reset the camera driver and "fix" the issue.U dont have to reboot the phone.

[Q] New to ROMs, need help fixing my phone. topic

Hi,

So I flashed CM12 to my phone - the most recent nightly. All was good except it wasn't recognizing the SIM. So I asked in reddit and was told it was a new issue and to flash back to the 18th. My computer no longer recognizes my phone being plugged into it via USB, so I just directly downloaded it, booted into recovery, and flashed the version from the 18th.

Now my phone is stuck on an endless boot animation of the little blue alien and won't boot up. Any next steps would be greatly appreciated!

Doubt about drivers and custon Roms topic

I am a galaxy S3 user and change my rom very often.
Since KitKat the custom roms for S3 are very unstable.

Read about S3, I discovery the cause of instability are made by the "unsupported driver" by the processor manufacturer.

So, if LG G2 are made by Snapdragon 800, just like the nexus 5.
I can conclude if nexus 5 received an oficial android update it is possible the custom roms will use the oficial drivers made by Snapdragon, and the custom Roms will be more stable.
