[Q] Need Help About Telstra S4 i9506 ROMS and ROOT topic

Hi. Good day.

I just want to ask how can i root and how can i install new roms on my Samsung Galaxy S4. My device info is this: I9506XXUBNC1. My OS as of now is Jelly bean 4.3
I fear about compatibility issue.

Can you help me what recovery to install and what roms are compatible with my S4 i9506XXUBNC1. Thanks in advance for your help :)

i want to root my 9506, it's a 4.4.2 and it has a rom of czech republic (with knox)

is possible to replace the rom with an italian one and then root? because it doesn't even has the italian in the keyboard, maybe the italian version has also the file for offline voice recognition or i have to download it anyway?

i should backup something before i root? maybe for sending to warranty...

i9506 WiFi problem while porting rom topic

Hi to everyone (especially to devs),
I was porting lollipop from N9005( with note 4 stuff) to i9506, but I have some problems with the wifi.
I tried to replace the wifi drivers from /vendor/firmware and /etc/wifi but still IT WON'T OPEN!!!!
Everything else is working ok :o

Any idea?

[Q] Root and Knox on i9506 ks01lte topic

I just got a brand new i9506 ks01lte today and previously I was playing with a pre-knox 9505 from work but I'm not sure what knox is about and which root method I should use.

The phone has 4.4.2 out of the box but I'm not going to use it unless I am running CM11, CM12 or similar.

There was a rooting guide which mentioned kit kat in the title but the thread was closed so I couldn't ask if the information in the first post was still relevant to my phone.

I don't care about voiding warranty obviously, just unsure about what kind of difference knox makes and if there is a procedure that will work on my 4.4.2 9506.

The one thing I don't want to do is brick the phone.
