Basic question about stock music player. topic

I have thousands of music files on my SD card. The stock music player seems to only be able to access and read ( when in shuffle mode under tracks ) some of my songs , meaning the ones only under tracks heading in shuffle mode. A little bit of research made me believe that the reason only half of my songs are listed under tracks is that the rest are within sub folders on the SD card and not accessible under tracks to be played via the shuffle method.

Any ideas on what I need to do to make all my songs accessible for shuffle play?

How can I have my music automatically downloaded? topic

Here's the situation...

My wife wants to listen to music at work without using the data plan. She would like to have all of her music on the phone at all times. When she rips CDs (yes she still buys CDs) or buys new music on Amazon she'd like it to just show up on her phone. The CD rips and Amazon purchases go to a folder on a PC which automatically gets uploaded to Google. She has 9500 songs and a 128gb card so there's no space issue. I have tried two plans but am not happy with either one. If you have any ideas I'd appreciate it.

Plan 1:
Use Google Play Music. The only way I could figure out how to get all of her music to her phone was to create a playlist that had every song in it and then click on the download icon. That works but it's static. Any new songs aren't downloaded and she must manually go in and download any new songs. That doesn't make her happy. (Happy wife, happy life.)

Plan 2:
Use any other MP3 music player. Lots of good choices out there. However, maintaining the music is a pain in the buttocks. To get the files there initially I just put the 128g chip in my computer and drag all of the files to the chip. That works. But I can't find out a way to get new songs onto the chip without manual intervention. I thought I could use a folder sync application but none of them have the authority to write to the external SD card (thank you Google) and new files won't get to the SD card without a lot of manual hand holding. That's a no go. I guess I could root and then use a folder sync application but this is her phone, not mine, and I'm not going there.

So, if any of you have any brainiac solutions, I'd love to hear them.

Note 2 don't plays videos or music topic

Hi all,

First excuse me if this is not the good forum for this thread, I'm new to this website.
I have a big problem with my Samsung Galaxy Note 2.
It doesn't play any video or music. Not only in a specific app but in every app I tried.
I tried the youtube app, the stock music app, shuttle music player which I usually use, but it also doesn't work when I go to youtube, dailymotion or any video site with the chrome browser. Videos in my facebook news feed won't play too.
When I try to watch a video or listen to music or simply launch an app like youtube for example, the phone becomes so slow that I must close the app. If I manage to click on a video, it just won't start. Generaly the app crash or the phone shut down or restart.
With the vlc app I can see the video but there is no sound.
It really starts to piss me off, I don't understand what's the problem.
Maybe it a software problem, I thought I could do a hard reset.
But it could also be a hardware problem, specifically something in relation with the speaker or the sound system, because yesterday my phone made strange noises and three days ago it fell on the ground.
Any help is welcome. Thank you for everything in advance.

Does anyone have the default Samsung music player APK or .zip file to flash on custom ROM's. I find the default one only plays .wma files while the normal play store ones dont! All my music is in the .wma format and converting 25Gigs of .wma format to MP3 is not possible exactly!

[Q] Adding Music to the Galaxy Note 4? topic

Hello everyone!

I once was an iPhone 5S user before transferring over to the Note 4, so I have a load of music in my iTunes library. I just want to know from you guys what is the fastest way to transfer my music from iTunes to my Note 4. Every time I drag and drop my music to the Note 4, it appears to not work on my device and says, "This player does not support this type of file". Can you please provide what steps you use in order to transfer your music? And also, I'm a music fanatic, so I like to see the correct album artwork, artist, song title, etc. Thank you for all of your answers! :)

[Q] Unable to play downloaded music in Rhapsody since 5.0 upgrade topic

Hi All,

Ever since I upgraded to Lollipop I'm unable to play downloaded music in Rhapsody while in offline mode. Sometimes it'll play several dozen songs, other times it'll play just one. In all cases it stalls trying to load the next track. Anyone else using Rhapsody and seeing this?

I'm considering doing a factory reset but if anyone else is seeing this then I won't.

As we all know, Play Music now supports the ability to read music from a Micro-SD. But as I when ever I load music on there, it doesn't show up in the app. Im running 4.4.2, Using the file transfer on a Mac Air. Please help!

P.S: The files are in a .M4A format, don't know if that helps or not.
