Downgraded from 5.0.2 to 4.4.4, want 5.0.2 back topic

I had Lollipop and after doing a reset, it was stuck on boot animation. I have successfully downgraded to stock 4.4.4 using fastboot and I didn't flash gpt.bin, motoboot.img and logo.bin while doing so.

Now I want Lollipop again but I don't know what should I do-- whether to simply place the OTA on SD card and get it detected or flashing the TWRP-flashable LP zip? I wonder if following the native OTA method will brick the phone, I'm scared.

Hello all,
I'm new to the m8 and Verizon, but not rooting and s-off. I own a Sprint m7 that is rooted and s-off running numerous custom ROMs and I'm wondering is there a big difference between the two? Let me explain why I ask. Where I'm from there isn't a Verizon or Sprint so I don't deal with the bloat and special doodads carrier branded devices impose, I just root and remove unwanted junk. With this new m8 it seems more complicated to me about setting up if I install a custom ROM. I didn't have to worry about new ROMs on the m7 besides permanently bypassing HFA and other bloat, restored my titanium backup and went from there.
Are there any special things I have to do, like activation from initial setup or will it be like my m7, where I didn't need to worry since my carriers info was programmed into the and it stuck without reprogramming carrier settings?
Will I have to call Verizon and blow my cover of being rooted and s-off, and why does Verizon have control over unlocking boot loader?

Purpose - Want to increase internal Phone Memory
Try everything like ...
1) Make Extra partition via mini tool & make access to link2Sd method (Result: Fail)
2) Ram Booster app (result Kernal not Supported)
3) Some times many other app says memory card must be higher then class 6

Also trying to update kernal but completely confused what to do.............. even one time made my phone in dead state but hope fully recovered from flesh tool .......................... now my mind completely wipe out ....................

Data issue, want to try fresh flash. topic

Ever since I rooted, using this GUIDE I have had issues with data being delayed at times, things not refreshing, taking too long, or just generally not working how they should especially google now. I can't find anything causing it and am hoping do a completely fresh install.

The process for the Z3c is a bit more convoluted than my previous phones, so I wanted to check if I need to do anything special to do this, or if I can just flash the stock firmware in recovery and be fine?

One thing I flashed this time was the Debloated, Deodexed, Zipaligned, Rooted, Super User Mode file. Could this be the cause of my issues? I like having unneeded things removed so if not an issue should I flash that right after flashing the stock firmware?

Last summer I had my Fire TV rooted and set up with Xposed to fake Wifi access so that I could use my Xfinity app via ethernet. Previous to that I was using FOX-FI and my phone as a Wifi hotspot but Metropcs blocked the ability to do so.

All was well until the unit started turning itself off a few months ago. I was sent a replacement that I believe was a refurbishment and it NEVER updates (i.e. never updated to the Prime option on the left side of the menu) -- which would be great except I haven't been able to root it (most likely it's unrootable). Now I have a 3rd one and I just need to know how I can run my Xfinity TV GO app on it (after it's sideloaded) without having to use WIFI. Also, where is the list of serial numbers or whatever it is that allows one to know if the box can be rooted?

First my name is ifeanyi from Nigeria. Yes i love my country so much because it's my one and only country.

There is a reason why i urge for process of changing imei number, i know it's illegal here and everywhere but please hear me out.
We have a lot of Young Programmers and talented Citizens who have the zeal to be productive but due to internet subscriptions, it deprives us many many opportunities. Now blackberry plan in my country cost N1,000 ( to ) for 3000MB (3gb) while ordinary plans including android, Pc etc are 4X Higher!!. MKD Users enable theirs easily using some common apps to change their Imei number to Blackberry imei while Samsung customers cannot work except you use various Boxes.

Atleast If we can change it to Blackberry Unique imei, it will be easier to do more work, download more and also improve more online.

I am asking, if it is possible to change without boxes. I need help
like i said, i know it's illegal but we are using it in Legal ways, since to reduce the high rate of unemployment . thanks

Complete noob - want to return to stock topic

I flashed CM 11 onto my One Mini M4 back in November, but am kind of fed up with the crashes etc and want to go back to FULL stock, so I can perhaps sell on the phone and get something a little faster
How can I do this? I don't understand which one of the threads is the FULL stock HTC ROM, and some say "flash this firmware first" which I don't quite understand either. Also I wouldn't mind being able to "relock" the bootloader and put the original recovery back on

Want to flash raw stock on Galaxy S4 GT-I9500 topic

Hi there,

I am fairly new in android and ask for some guidance.

After over 1.5 years of getting irritated by bloatware on my galaxy S4 GT-I9500 I started to look for how to root phone and got rid off plenty of bloatware.

Huge relief. I mean, why the hell do I need tripadvisor, help, health, googlesettings, speech and tens of other completely useless apps (for me). If I need something I want to install it by myself and don't want it to be forced onto phone which I paid from my pocket.

Now, when I last time hard reset my phone, it "kindly" upgraded all the nonsense bloatware too. Grrrrr :eek:

I looked on the forums to flash raw android stock, but there is so much info out there, that I get lost.

Could you suggest, where/how should I start. So, I want completely raw android OS, without any bloatware (if possible), on my galaxy S4 GT-I9500.
