I rooted my m8 on stock android 4.4.4 and since the lollipop update rolled out, I applied my backup from TWRP and flashed stock recovery then relocked bootloader. Installed Lollipop via OTA, unlock bootloader and flashed TWRP then flashed supersu. So I'm on android lollipop 5.0 and rooted. I don't know what went wrong, my phone seem too laggy ( mostly when I'm trying to type on facebook messenger, every times i type a text it stacks for some times) And most importantly, some stocks application such us HTC sense TV and Scribble not working anymore. every time I open, it say " stopped unexpectedly ". I don't really know what I might do to get it fix, please advice me.

I have a Galaxy S5, I rooted it awhile back, I removed the root, then when I went to apply the update, it said my Operating System had been modified in an unauthorized way. Is there a way to get the 5.0 update although I get the unauthorized modification notice?

[Q] Cannot update to lollipop using FOA topic

First things first, I am not very techy and am only trying to accomplish one goal on my galaxy s5 - update to lollipop.
I'm trying to do it by going to Settings --> About device --> Software Update. Everytime I try it check's for updates and says 'The Latest Updates have already been installed'.
My device is unrooted and running Android 4.4.2 and is unlocked. My brother bought the exact same phone and got the update over FOA more than a month ago!
I can't find anywhere on the internet to help me out, I don't want to update manually.. I wan't to know why my device won't update automatically.
Any thoughts on what I can try? Does it need a factory reset? Has anyone else got this issue? Help much appreciated.

[Q] ROM Update on CWM recovery topic

I have the MT7 TL10 international. The phone is rooted, BL unlocked and CWM installed. Today I received notification that an OTA update on B123 is available. I think I've read somewhere that the update will not work with CWM so I have to go back to stock recovery. I know how to do that but I just want to confirm with you experts whether or not IT is needed.
And in case I go back to stock recovery, do I just have to flash CWM again after the ROM update and it's all good again?

I used to live in Canada and I had Bell Mobility as carrier. I bought my HTC One M8 from them, when I was in Canada I rooted my phone.
I'm in Lebanon now and I asked them for the unlock code and they gave it to me. So my phone is working fine with my carrier.
Now, here's my problem, I can't update my phone, I'm stuck with android 4.4.3 i cant OTA it just takes me to philz touch and restores to 4.4.3.
I tried downloading a RUU from htc dev and that didn't work either. I've been searching for a solution for 2 months now and I can't seem to find anything that helps.
I really want to update to android lollipop :(

[Q] Update Android 4.4.2 on Samsung Note II (N7100) to Android 5 topic

Hi! After a review of many upgrade videos on various sites and forum, I had decided to upgrade Android 4.4.2 on my Note II (N7100) to Android 5. It may be noted that I have not flashed my root.
After the initial wipes and factory reset, the next step was to go to advanced setup and perform a Dalvik wipe. However, under the recovery menu I was unable to find this option. The forum also suggested to install the Cyanogenmod zip file. Though I had the same copied on the SD card it did not recognize while flashing. Tried installing the google apps and even that did not install.

Finally, the system did an automatic restart and the OS was restored to Android 4.4.2.

Can you suggest a way to upgrade my handset to Android

The app that calls itself just "google" sometime (like today) wants to apply an update. Every time that happens, I first get a crash from "One More Clock", then the update finishes, then when I exit the play store, the launcher also appears to have crashed. I always have to power cycle the Nexus 5 to get it back (which works fine, but is irritating). Anyone know why this update always crashes the phone? Does anyone else have this problem?

I get the same "google" update on my Nexus 7 (which also runs One More Clock) and there are no problems. Only the Nexus 5 has this mysterious behavior.

Here's the deal. I have recently been forced into getting this note 3 through insurance claim, have been nexus user forever and I must say I was peeved. Though I will admit that this phone does have its benefits as well. Anyways, when I first started using this phone I was pleased with the speeds in my new area (i have moved) on 4G. I have been more than dissatisfied with the internet here as it is appallingly slower than anything I can remember from the past of my life. Anywhoo, deal is that I have an unlimited plan and don't care if i run 4G all the time on my phone. For the first while I didn't get onto WiFi till one day at work, suddenly updates happened all over the place. I tested this a few times, and sure enough I am unable to update or even download certain apps from the play store without being on WIFI. I know this is hilarious, but my Clash of Clan mates sure were unimpressed when I couldn't join a war. So I have been researching all over and trying hard to figure out what I can do. Google Play is set up to download over both data and WiFi connections. My Samsung settings? Well I can't seem to find any settings that would make a difference on that. I have spent countless hours trying to figure this out without avail. I have been coming to this forum without posting forever it seems because you guys cover everything so well that usually I can search and find the answer without too many problems. Alcatel One Touch M'Pop 5020D firmware update topic

My Android version is 4.1.1. and I got a notification about new firmware 01002. Does anybody know what is this firmware update about? I can't find any info about it and Alcatel support didn't replied to me. My phone just say this: "This update will improve the user experience and product performance. Please rest assured that you will not lose your data during the system update". This is not much helpful. :D

OTA Update? topic

Hi, Pardon me if this have already been ask.
How do you properly install this OTA Update? I've flashed dandvdh's custom rom which is the GPE ROM and Im getting this notification about a new update of the ROM. I haven't installed it yet because I don't know what's the proper way to install it.
Should I backup first then tap Install?
