photos/videos don't show in gallery app or backup topic

Hi guys

I've just moved on to lollipop and have noticed an issue with photos and videos after they have been taken .

Basically what happens is the phone wont -

Show you the picture from the preview button
Show in the gallery but can be viewed via a file manager
They also do not get backed up to one drive or Google drive

Anything I can do short of re flashing the rom ?

Is there any way to get rid of Google+ photos as a gallery option? I'm having a couple of apps choose it's browser as a default, and want to change it to Gallery, the stock OPO app.

CM 12 Image gallery not working properly topic

I was running stock for a while but i switched back to CM 12. For some reason my image gallery will show thumbnails when i first open it but if i go into a subfolder all the thumbnails will be grey and when I open a picture it will be completely grey. I have tried using a different image gallery app and formatting my external sd card but no luck. Any suggestions? I searched the forum but couldn't find anything.

Hi, I have a problem with all gallery apps.. I tried to change Rom with factory reset and wipe system but the problem is here.. When I open the gallery after 2 click all albums and photos are grey.. Do you know why? Can you help me? Thank you.. First I had the CM12, now the euphoria os.. Thank you

Att xt1097 gallery issue topic

I'm having an issue where my gallery only shows pictures taken by camera. I can't navigate to either downloaded or screenshots. In root explorer the folders exist along with the pictures. I've cleared data on gallery app, rebooted the phone but still no go. It works fine though when i tried attaching this screen. All locations showed (downloads pictures and screens). how to reinstall default camera and gallery app topic

I was installing moto x camera app on moto g 2014.. for that i uninstalled the default cam and gallery app but that didn't worked. I have the backup of stock camera and gallery but i am unable to reinstall them, it just shows app not installed. Help plzz!!!

[Q] Problem with Photo Sorting in Gallery Apps topic

Hey,

I encountered a problem the other day where my photos randomly changed from sorting by alphabetical order to date order in all my gallery apps (QuickPic, Cyanogen Gallery, Piktures). Not sure why this randomly happened because my pictures have sorted by alphabetical order ever since i've had the phone!

Of course i could change the order back to alphabetical for each album in QuickPic, but this isn't really a solution because i have something like 500 albums and to do every one it would take forever! There doesn't seem to be any universal option which affects all the albums either.

I upgraded my phone this morning to 05Q, but rather than using the OTA i completely wiped the phone with userdata, and then flashed the zip onto a clean installation. Even after this though i still have the same problem! :(

Anyone know why this has randomly happened and how i could sort it out? Really frustrating because all my pictures are in the wrong order and it takes me a while to find the ones i want.

Any help would be appreciated! Cheers! :)

Just download and install the apk.

Compatibility:
This app should be compatible with all ROMs Android 5.0+. (tested on Nexus 5 running BoostPop)
If your phone is not running Lollipop (Android 5.0), please walk away and refrain from posting a comment about incompatibility. The app naturally requires minimum SDK version 21, which is Android 5.0 and above.

Why would you need this?
AOSP ROMs like CyanogenMod and Euphoria OS: already included, will only overwrite the preinstalled version.
Google stock ROMs (Nexus and GPe): not included, feel feel to try.
Other OEM ROMs like TouchWiz: not included, feel free to try.
Other minimalistic ROMs (like BoostPop) that don't bundle the AOSP Gallery: not included, feel free to try.

I take zero credit for this apk. All credit goes to the AOSP and CyanogenMod.
Since I did not develop the software, I may not be able to solve any of your issues with it.
