[Q] Hide screen reading (and maybe root) topic

A few weeks ago, my banks decided to introduce a "pushTAN" option for their online banking interfaces where you have to install an app on your phone - both use the same one, developed by some software company - and TANs are then sent to the phone as a push notification. Sounds nice, but the app obviously wants to "protect" me and closes every time I launch it because it detected "suspicious screen reading activity" - of course, because I got the great AutoInput and AutoVoice Tasker plugins installed which need to be granted screen reading permissions in the accessibility settings.

This is bad because I really need to use the pushTAN apps (one bank only has the old-fashioned TAN list which I want to get rid of and the other one decided to charge money for their smsTAN option) and I don't want to be required to change the permissions every time I need to receive a TAN on the phone.

My question: Is there a way to hide screen reading rights (and maybe root because I think about rooting my phone and I'm pretty sure the app will detect that, too) from a specific app?
Or is it possible to set up a Tasker action which toggles the rights when I launch the app and toggles them back when I quit it? :D

[Q] HTC one M7 Maybe bricked? topic

Hello, I have flashed many HTC phones over the years and I have only bricked 3 of them well 2 I am not sure about this 3rd one. Getting to the point, I have an HTC one M7 that I flashed a firmware package to listed on a site called "Android revolution". The flash completed successfully and everything seemed to go like normal but when I rebooted the device after the successful flash it comes up in "Qualcomm USB Diagnostics mode (COM7)" and unlike other phones I have bricked in the past, this one doesn't come up as anything when you unplug the battery from the phones motherboard. Is this a Hardbrick? or no? and if not is there a way to make the device jump back to fastboot so I can try a working firmware that I have flashed to this phone in the past? Again I have flashed many phones and I have seen many bricked HTC from people and I bricked 2 of them last year and with all of those they come up as QLOAD_HS Downloader (COMxx) and they come up like that with or without the battery connected.

Change Mac Adress permanently CM12 // Xperia Z2 Castor Windy maybe other Sony devices topic

Hi,

after CM 12 my Z2 Castor Windy becomes the same MAC Adress like my Z3.

So how to change the MacAdress of my Z2 Castor Windy permanently?

Tried to google for it but found only solutions for KitKat that dont work.

And here is the Solution for CM12/maybe other CustomROMs that changes MAC Adress at flashing:

1. Use a Root Explorer/Root Filemanager
2. Go to: /data/etc/wlan_macaddr0
3. Open it and read out your old MAC from Sony - write it down.
4. Go to: /system/etc/firmware/wlan/bcmdhd/bcmdhd.cal and open it writeable
5. Edit Line 8 macaddr=xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx to your original MAC from Sony.
6. Save changes and reboot.
7. DONE - enjoy - you will have your old MAC Adress permanently.

[Q] Music player (or maybe other apps) keeps reinstalling itself. topic

I don't like the stock music player app (see below) so the first thing I did after I gained root on my phone was remove the app with Titanium Backup. It was working fine until I've upgraded to EMUI 3.0. I'm still able to remove the app, and everything works fine, but when I reboot the phone, the stock music player keeps coming back haunting me. It's quite frustrating because the stock music app is interfering with other music players, and there is no othe

[Q] Maybe you guys could help me fix my Nexus 5 topic

Hey guys.
So, I'm not using my Nexus 5 anymore, but I would like to give a shot to fixing it.
It fell down the toilet so the buttons on the side are wrecked. The screen is not broken however.
If I plug it into the charger, it displays a red LED. If I press the power button it vibrates, but displays nothing.

Do you guys have any idea of what might cause this problem? Is the screen the problem?
Thanks.

[Q] Please help me boot my (maybe bricked) Z3 D6033 into recovery topic

Thanks for reading my plea for help :fingers-crossed:

I did a perfect unlocking bootloader, downgrading and then rooted with giefroot . I finally installed xzdualrecovery with great success. I felt smart, really smart (I cant imagine how the people feels who figure these things out).

Unfortunately from here things went south at an epic speed. Next I booted into recovery with an attempt to flash the Candy05 rom.

So I:
  1. I booted into Phils Touch recovery.

  1. Wiped the directories as per guide.

  1. Attempted installing the ZIP.

  1. It failed (I cant remember the error but it was immediately after I hit install).

  1. I rebooted and this is when I became stuck.

I cannot enter recovery anymore it goes to the Sony logo screen almost immediately. The only thing I can do is enter fastboot. However, I tried to flash my system (assuming this is wiped) to stock system with not luck, I get this message :

Code:

jason@jason-MS-7672:~/Downloads/FlashTool$ sudo fastboot flash system /home/jason/Documents/Z3/stock/system.sin
sending 'system' (1791219 KB)...
FAILED (remote: data too large)
finished. total time: 0.002s
jason@jason-MS-7672:~/Downloads/FlashTool$

I sincerely appreciate help in the right direction.
