Downgraded from 5.0.2 to 4.4.4, want 5.0.2 back topic

I had Lollipop and after doing a reset, it was stuck on boot animation. I have successfully downgraded to stock 4.4.4 using fastboot and I didn't flash gpt.bin, motoboot.img and logo.bin while doing so.

Now I want Lollipop again but I don't know what should I do-- whether to simply place the OTA on SD card and get it detected or flashing the TWRP-flashable LP zip? I wonder if following the native OTA method will brick the phone, I'm scared.

Flashing from stock T-mobile M8 topic

Just picked up a new T-mobile M8 after my GS4 decided to die on me. Been trying to read up everything, but just wanted to make sure before I started flashing. I'm currently on bone stock T-mobile 4.4.2 firmware. I'm looking to flash a GPe based firmware, like here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-...32015-t3010825.
1) I'm not interested in flashing kernels or converting to full GPe or whatever, so that means I don't need to S-Off correct?
2) Sounds like there are wifi issues flashing new lollipop roms? Should I accept the OTA updates to Lollipop before flashing or stay on 4.4.2?
3) Depending on above, the correct steps for me would be to: Accept OTA updates to Lollipop (?) --> Unlock bootloader --> Install recovery --> Install ROM from recovery. Am I missing anything??

[Q] i337 Flashing Modem from MK2 or MBL to NC1? topic

Hi,
My phone build number is i337ucufnc1 and my original baseband version is i337ucufnc1.
However, after following this tutorial "Possible method to SIM unlock on MK2 *must be rooted*" Method 2 , my phone was sim-unlocked successfully but now the baseband version is MDL (and I flashed MK2 later and it worked) I couldn't go back to NC1. I flashed it with I337_NC1_Stock_Kernel.tar.md5 but It didn't work.

Can you please guys guide me on how to restore it back to NC1?

I'm interested in a Note 4 as an International travel device to utilize local SIM cards in whatever country/region I happen to be in (primarily the EU and Africa). I'm primarily focused on versitle connectivity for voice and text communication as well as navigational apps.

I'm having trouble deciphering the various versions (C vs. F vs. U) because I'm, admittedly, a total novice at this. So, best unlocked version to be the most versatile wordwide? Thanks.

Is it possible to flash a stock ROM of device (a) using only another device (b) ?

Device (a) being the one that needs a stock ROM
Device (b) has an OTG support

Connect one device to the other using an OTG USB cable, and flash ROMs from one device to the other
I got this idea when I was tinkering with Mobile ODIN. If a device can "flash itself" shouldn't it be able to flash others?

is it possible? or am I drifting to the crazy side now? :p

Android IS a Linux distro, so it should be able to get drivers and flash other devices through USB, right? we would just need the apps.

and if it is possible, and already out there, any links, please?

[Q] Returning to complete locked /stock from CM11 BigPart topic

This is my first post as I have been an avid XDA lurker but I wanted to get some community advice before I potentially brick my Xoom.

I am currently running CM11 Wingray with TWRP 2.6.3 BigPart R.A.H.05 Edition and want to unroot my Xoom, return it to stock OS / Recovery, and re-lock the bootloader. I have found many ADB tutorials in this community http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1468298 as well as some youtube tutorials https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pT8NF-_nLCo. My concern is all of the tutorials are from the pre-KitKat days and would potentially not account for the new partitions required.

So my question is, do these tutorials re-partition my Xoom just fine or will I end up bricking my device since my new partitions would no longer work with the old stock roms?

Hello all , this is my first tread on XDA forum , brief i have a Fujitsu Arrow F-01F (NTTDocomo) , with android 4.2.2 , no root . docomo has realeased an update to KK 4.4 , but no way to update it 'cause im outside Japan , i have downloaded tha update in a (Tar.gz) form , from spf.fmworld Dot net , i have placed the file on my External sd card , i have booted on recovery ==> update ==> i got a messsage says can't open the file . i will appreciate helping in this .

[Q] Help a newbie: revert from stock Lollipop to stock Kit Kat topic

I upgraded to lollipop yesterday via OTA and the experience is being awful for me. Every single notification vibrates, no matter what I do. All NFC applications have stopped working and it seems a bug in android.nfc.tech.NfcA. And I don't like the new Sense that much.

I decided that I want to go back to Kit Kat, but I don't want to void my warranty in the process. I used to root and flash custom rooms in my old Samsung Galaxy, but HTC One is very different and I have no idea of how it's done. Also, I'd like to have my old room (Spain, carrier Yoigo), and also have no idea where to find it. The idea is that, if they fix the current Lollipop problems, I might like to upgrade via OTA again to a later Lollipop version.

Can anyone please provide the steps to revert to stock kit kat so I don't lose my warranty and I can receive OTAs in the future?
