How to start flashing ROM topic

Hello, before I begin, let me just start by saying I'm the biggest noob at all this. I have tried reading threads and basics anf everything but its hard for me to undeestand all of it coz theres no all-in-one guide.

So, can somebody explain what are the requirements to flash a new ROM? Do I need to root then unlock my bootloader then install a custom recovery? Is there anything else I need besides downloading stuff? Because I just dont get the complexity of all this stuff.

Hi. My xperia Neo crashed, I tried to send a photo via bluetooth and the phone just turned off. I tried to turn it on, it appears the "SONY" screen, then the "XPERIA" screen, and then it restarts, over and over again with the same 2 screens. I searched topics, they say that I have to flash it, but I can't start the phone in flash mode, with power and back buttons, any software (Companion, flashtool) don't detect the phone. Is there any solution?

Hello together

I got a Note 8.0 and I tried to start it. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 sign appears and then the tablet freezes.
I can enter the download mode (everything is official there), but not the recovery mode.

What did I tried to do:

• I flashed several recoveries (CivZ-Touch-6.0.4.4., CWM-Recovery, philz_touch_6.07.9, TWRP-2850 and stock recoveries) which worked.


• I flashed two different stock ROMs with odin and the passed, but the tablet still does not start


• Tried to root tablet with "CF-Auto-Root-konawifi-konawifixx-gtn5110", also passed with odin. A red Android man appeared and it told me something like mount error.

Does anyone have another approach? If not, I will return the tablet.

My xperia c won't start topic

Hi every body
I tried to install Lollipop Rom from this topic:
at step 4, I've downloaded Mobileuncle Tools app and updated Recovery then the phone turn off and doesn't start anymore.
- I holed down the power button for more than 30 sec > nothing happened.
- but when I holed down the power + volume-down keys > the color lights flash but nothing display on screen.

please someone guide me how to fix this problem and I will be appreciated.

please help,,my xperia e dual doesn't start,I installed TMRW it was working fine but after i turned it off it didn't start,
it just flashes the red led 3 times when i press the power button (although i have leave it on wall charge for more than 13hrs) and red sensor light whenever i try to power it on and when i put it on charge.
i have try to flash it with flashtool but no response in fastmode or flashmode...
please help

Hey all,
suddently my Nexus 5 shutted down, and now it won't start up anymore. I've already tried everything, like pressing POWER+Volumekeys, clicking 20s the POWER button. When i connect with the charger the google logo appears but then suddently restart, creating an infinite loop, denying me to access to recovery mode. Same things happens when i connect it with my PC. What can I do? The battery was almost at 90%. I've already looked for thread with the same problem but everyone could access the recovery and then just factory reset. Please help. Never flashed before, had stock Lollipop

No sound, only on start up topic

HI there,
recently my sound has stopped from my S4,
I get sound on startup on the SAMSUNG screen 8 times out of 10 but nothing else once the phone is booted
no sound from videos or music with or without headphones!
on calls i managed to gain my sound back by unplugging and plugging in the headphones several times but nothing else, my music is now 'incorrect audio file' when infact they are all the same files that previously worked
Any ideas?

Cant find info/resources for Zopo C7, where to start. topic

I have a zopo Zp990, C7.
I quickly demonstrated a lot of bugs, so long story made short, the zopo is so buggy I tried using it for about a month, fiddled with it for a couple more and then put it back into its box.
I recently got it out to use as a wifi device (because that's all it is good for) and got to thinking... Because I am a complete "Beginner" I figured I could use the zopo to learn a little about the multitude of options available to Android users.
Unfortunately I cant find much in the way of info/resources that are zopo zp990 specific.

The device zopo is 2x32gb Captain S model running 4.2.1 and it is rooted (with eRoot).
My next step was going to be the installation of CWM or TWRT, then do a backup and try installing a 4.4.2 rom.
The problem is that I have been completely unsuccessful in finding a CWM or TWRT version that is stated as being compatible with the C7 Captain S. I understand (have seen) that some people use variants intended for other devices but I don't have the competence/experience (nerve) to try that path.

Does anyone have a suggestion?
