Unable to use USB OTG in cyanogenmod 12 for HTC One topic

I am unable to use my USB flash drive connected via otg cable on my phone running cyanogenmod lollipop. The flash drive blinks once when it is plugged and does nothing else. Is there any way to remedy this??

Hi Guys,

I am facing a little issue in my S5 (indian exynos variant) whenever I put the device on charging and with just a little touch to device, it is showing this popup (attached below) i.e, whenever i place the device on charging and with very little movement to device in hands it shows the popup! I cant use device while charging because with every minute disturbance in hands error comes.... tried using device in safemode too but the problem is same.

when i try "fastboot oem lock" it gives the following error but it shows as relocked after a reboot. BUT i can not install the lollipp OTA, it stucks with red exclamation sign.

what can be the reason? :(

[Q] [HELP] Unable to enter recovery mode and bootlooping topic

Hi, recently I've tried to install a custom recovery. In the end, I think I've corrupted my recovery img and now my phone just keep rebooting.
But I can boot my phone normally if i use "fastboot continue" in adb shell. But no matter what recoveries I've tried to flash, it just won't solve the bootlooping problem. I've also tried to use flashtool to download back the recovery. But it just keep disconnecting due to the bootloop. Can anyone please help me ?

Possible hardware failure? Unable to boot - claims no OS and won't mount data etc topic

I think my phone may have had a catastrophic hardware failure but I am hoping not and maybe some of you clever people can help me resurrect it.

I have been running KK ParanoidAndroid without any problems for a few months. Yesterday I tried to boot it up and after showing the Google screen the screen went black then a single horizontal white line appeared 3/4 way down the screen. It stalled there forever so I pulled the battery and booted into TWRP recovery. It seemed to take a lot longer than normal but did boot into TWRP OK.

Once there however TWRP reported no backups, no OS and no storage space (0 MB). I couldn't mount any partitions,. I tried factory reset but it appeared to fail and just made the phone vibrate for a while. The log shows:

Unable to mount - /system, /cache, /data etc and something about no valid partition for MTP

Then the screen greyed out, faded to black and the phone powered off. Now it seems pretty much non responsive.

Any thoughts, other than bin it and get a new phone?

Hello everyone.

My problem is simple, I can't change the modem.
More information:
I got my P780 some time ago with 4.2 from the vendor. For some days now, the device was softbrick'd. After a complete flash and 3 days of back and forth I got 4.4.2 S221 Life installed with TWRP and CWM recovery (can easily change between). With this version i actually CAN (miracly!) connect not only to 3G, but to 2G!! (Only version so far for me)

If it helps, I live in Germany and probably got the chinese version (chinese letters written on battery)

Problem is, the connection is not very stable :/
So I decided to switch the modem to v51. That's where the problems start. I got the zip on the ext_SD, flashed with TWRP and CWM and wiped the cache. But the "Baseband version" is still at "P780.V101..........", even after several modems, it does nothing!

My second problem is, that the WLAN-connection only works once. I enter the password, it works and after I got out of range and back in it won't connect again!! I have to "Forget" the connection and connect all over again with entering the password.

I really hope you can help me :)

I have tried every recovery out there and no matter what one I try it always said "failed to boot" when I try and go into recovery. . . Is this common for this phone? Any tricks someone can tell me?

On November 2014 I bought Gear S which i paired with my samsung galaxy s3 neo. Sometimes the smart watch stopped to work and I was able to reactivate the Gear S only after resetting it.
On 23 February after experiencing another arrest of the Gear s I downloaded from Galaxy apps the latest version of gear manager (2.2.14110499). After I have installed the gear manager I wasn’t able to reactivate my gear s although it paired with my galaxy S3 neo. In particular the gear manager is not able to download the additional software and I receive the following message: “Unable to connect to the gear. Connection to the gear is not supported by your mobile device…” Moreover just beneath the above message appear a writing during just some seconds stating: “Download url not available, can’t launchPlugin!”
What is not working? My gear s or the new gear manager?

Unable to configure Moto Voice after installing Xposed for Lollipop topic

So, has anyone noticed the same trouble as me?

I tried to configure my unique phrase on Moto Voice app and it was impossible. The app couldn't even listen to my voice. So I thought it was because I'm using Xposed Framework (alpha version) for Lollipop.
Am I right at guessing this?
If anyone has got something similar let me know please.

[Q] Unable to add scripts to init.d folder, cm 10.1 topic

I have been trying to use int2ext, however flashing or placing the script directly fails to work.
There are no errors when using cwm, but when looking in a file manager the script is 0kb, and empty.
Pasting the script using ES file explorer does the same, places a empty 0kb file, this is with system mounted as r/w.
Tried using the file manager that comes with CyanogenMod but it shows an error when pasting rather than placing anything.

Different attempt with Mounts2sd, it asks to update the Init.d, but it fails with the error 'the init.d startup script cannot be copied to the system partition'
Busy box also fails to configure.

I am using CyanogenMod 10.1 for the wildfire s.

Not sure what's going on, followed all instructions when installing cyanogen originally. I will flash again, but unfortunately away from home to restore contacts once I'd re-install (though not major issue) Will go ahead with it if its recommended.
Looking to see if there might be another issue and way to resolve it.
It is partitioned just seems an issue with permissions and access.

when i tried to install the rom over it, it gave me the above error as well as "E: unable to mount internal storage. Now i did some research and tried to flash using sp flash tools with a stock rom but phone is not getting recognised by the flash tools. I have all the usb driver and have used flash tools before when my phone was working. i also tried to use some terminal commands,which i found in one of the threads. but it said that directory did not exist. file system is ext4. in file explorer internal storage is showing as 0mb. also i tried to repair option. system has 754mb out of which 99mb is free and preload has 196mb out of which 192mb is free. data is 0mb and when i click internal storage for repair it says invalid partition selected. again i wiped system, now only 12mb out of 754mb is used. please help me . can my phone be recovered?twrp version is 2.7.1.1
and i had life xvibe v09 working before i flashed with samsung ui rom.

Hi, Posting for a friend. They've got a brand new Vodacom (South Africa) Note 4 but running here in Zambia. She can't seem to maintain a data connection for any longe than 2-3 minutes before it stops for 3 minutes and then comes back on. My theory is that since we don't have proper LTE here it's trying to register to LTE after it gets to HSDPA and then resets itself. I used to remember the code *#*4636#*#* on m S3 to get into the Phone information screen and lock it to WCDMA only - I tried it through the Samsung interface but no such luck already.

Am I missing anything here? Is there a different code I should be using?

Lumia 520 - Unable to find a bootable option topic

A friend has asked me to look at this Nokia Lumia 520, apparently it turned on one day and displayed this error message "unable to find a bootable option. Press any key to shutdown"



Nokia Software Update for Retial recognises the phone and says software can be installed:



This downloads fine and starts the install process, however always fails with the message "phone not supported by nokia software updater retail"

I have also tried using NaviFirm+, searching for the product code 059S3T5 which lets me download the RM914_3058.50000.1425.0006_RETAIL_eu_euro1_327_06_ 452364_prd_signed firmware.

However i'm unable to flash this with the Nokia Care Suite, it states: 0xFA001106: Signature check of FFU file fails. Reason(s): The FFU file is not correctly signed or not signed for this device.



Has anyone got any suggestions on what else i can try to flash this firmware? or to try fix the phone?

I was following the tutorial here Flash/unbrand Lumia devices thinking if the firmware was re flashed all would be fine.

Hello, I have a problem with a LG D415. Whenever I try to chose a network, I get an error saying "Your SIM card does not allow a connection to this network". Any idea how to fix this? I tried to downgrade but no change. Anything is appreciate! :D

I have managed to open a calendar on my phone, but when I try to enter an event I get the message I have copied at the bottom of this box. I have tried adding accounts by clicking on "add account" but I am still get the same message when trying to add events. Please can someone explain exactly what is meant by "make sure that at least one calendar is visible"

I unlocked the boot loader and it wiped my phone so I assume that was successful.
I then tried to flash twrp and used the fastboot command, it says it succeeded but every time I boot into recovery it boots into cyangenmod's recovery.

I have a Motog 1040 tx.
I have unlocked the boot loader through Motorola's website
I have SuperSU installed. I have verified using an app the phone is rooted.

This my problem installing clockword mod...

When I go through the commands in terminal manager. It says recovery. IMG not found.
I've downloaded clockwordmod recovery peregrine for my phone model and renamed
it recovery.IMG and placed it in the sdcard memory card root.

I've tried placing flash image in my sdcard root as well and used that method as well.

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? The sd card is listed as sdcard1 on my device. I've also noticed that there is an emulated sdcard listed.
