[Q] Micromax Canvas Knight A350 boot issue! Problem with device turning on. topic

Okay, Hi. I will try to give all the details as far as possible about the issue.
Canvas Knight A350 running on Kitkat 4.4.2. It was not rooted when the problem occured.
The problem is whenever I turn on the phone it shows the MIcromax logo later powered by android and canvas knight welcome screen for 5-7 secs but gets switched off automatically after that. The home screen does not appear. Sometimes for flash of a second it appears and I could see the wallpaper, app shortcuts in the background out and the "power off shutting down" screen

Things I've already tried :
1. Charging the phone : Whenever the charger is connected it shows the charging symbol with the lowest battery and after 5-6 seconds it says "Error, Please remove the charger."
2. Wipe Cache Partition : Installed recovery with SP Tools and wiped cache. No update.
3. Wipe Battery Stats and Dalvik Cache : Phone started with the screen "Android is upgrading. Optimising apps ... out of 163..." It finished optimizing all apps then shows homescreen for a second again wit the "Power off... shutting down." So issue not solved.
4. Mounting all possible disks etc. : No update still the same problem.

A. The phone has an internal sd card so using the recovery mode I took backup also. But I don't know what all that items the backup option takes? Will it take contacts, sms, whatsapp msgs, application apks? I havent taken any backup using Titanium or anything for the phone / apps / or their data otherwise.

B. I am able to browse the internal sd card folders in recovery mode but how do I copy them to the PC?

C. If I use the Wipe data / factory reset feature of the recovery what data will I lose? Will the internal sd card also get wiped??

D. I'm currently downloading the Kitkat official rom to update it manually using recovery. Will that also make me lose all my data on phone storage - contacts, settings etc.? and internal sd card?

E. Is there any better way to solve my problem without the whole factory reset or flashing ROM? Because appears to me that its some software glitch and the phone is not actually bricked!! (the appearing of home screen and wallpapers even if just for a second) Maybe something is sending a power off command to the phone as soon as it gets turned on?

F. Could it be a hardware or battery voltage issue? Should I post the battery test readings from the factory mode? How to conduct the test properly?

[Q] Are N910F roms compatible with N910G Device? topic

Sorry if this has already been posted but I am posting for a friend.

His handset is the N910G Variant and is having troubles installing roms. Im from the One M8 side so I dont exactly know what to do for him. So I'm after some help!

All the roms on the snapdragon forum is N910F and what happpens is that he gets bootloops after installing a new rom, its confusing because we just wanted to know is there any prerequisites prior to installing a N910F rom on a N910G device.
We have already rooted the phone and its got cwm recovery running on the device.

Any help is appreciated!

[Q] Get Past Lock Screen, STOCK device, no usb debugging topic

Okay, I am at a loss here.
My friend has a Verizon Galaxy S4 i545 and its build number ends with NC5. USB debugging is disabled and the device is completely stock. He has forgotten the pin password on it, as it is his old phone, but he needs to get into it.

I have tried absolutely everything I can think of. ADB is out of the question, unless someone knows how to forcefully enable it somehow, maybe through a Linux terminal? I am pretty sure I can't install a custom recovery, which would make everything so much simpler, as ADB is automatically enabled. But apparently I can't do that with NC5, at least not without having access to the phone.

My hands are really tied. I have no idea what to. Please, if anyone has any suggestions or solutions, help would be greatly appreciated. (NOTE: Factory Reset/Hard Reset is out of the question)

I went to do a hard cache wipe by pressing the power volume down and did the wipe. after the cache wipe...

I accidentally went into another screen. I now have the green android with the red triangle with am exclamation point inside it. Underneath that It reads...

"Now send the package you want to apply to the device with adb sideload <filename>"...

Is their any way I can get back to normal? Can Someone save me :(

Unlock device - Call history screen? topic

Hi All.

Currently facing a problem which Moto can't seam to help with.

The device is stock out of the box and is approx 8 hours old.


Every time i press the power button then unlock the device, it brings up the speed dial screen. This is even if its on Facebook, Gmail, when i press the power off button, press it again, unlock the device it brings the speed dial screen up.

I'm sure i'm missing something simple, tried a cache reset but just keep getting a no command screen, and even hard reset the device.

in my moto g 2013 i unlock my device (w/out inserting the pin) with a bt connected mi band. I use trusted devices by motorola.
in stock lollipop google implemented this feature natively.

so, in your moto g 5.0.2, do u have the google implementation or the motorola one? or both??

Is it possible to flash a stock ROM of device (a) using only another device (b) ?

Device (a) being the one that needs a stock ROM
Device (b) has an OTG support

Connect one device to the other using an OTG USB cable, and flash ROMs from one device to the other
I got this idea when I was tinkering with Mobile ODIN. If a device can "flash itself" shouldn't it be able to flash others?

is it possible? or am I drifting to the crazy side now? :p

Android IS a Linux distro, so it should be able to get drivers and flash other devices through USB, right? we would just need the apps.

and if it is possible, and already out there, any links, please?

Usb device not recognized/slow charging trough charger topic

I am having a strange issue with my LG G2 (D802) , Software version D80220h , not rooted. One day iv plugged my phone to the PC and suddenly there was an error (Usb device not recognized), iv tried several things: using another usb cable , using another pc , installing the official LG USB drivers , hard reset on the phone , usb debbuging , switching pc connection modes (MTP , etc.) , nothing helped. Found some similar problems on the forum , but no solutions . The interesting thing is that when iv plugged my LG to the phone charge is saying that is slowly charging TA/USB , i`v tried another phone charger , but the same TA/USB slow charging message appear.
