I just bought a brand new BMW X5 and have a Samsung Galaxy Note 4. For some reason when I pair my phone via Bluetooth hundreds of numbers show up empty before I scroll down to get the names/numbers list. I KNOW FOR CERTAIN this is NOT a problem with the car because the technician has the exact same phone and his loads perfectly. Is there anyone who can help me ....it's like the Bluetooth is pulling from several different lists rather than just my contacts?

[Q] Caller ID issue for contacts with country code prefix topic
Hi,
I am using a T-Mobile HTC One M8 Lollipop bought in the US about 1.5 years ago in my home country (Israel) with local SIM.
Most of my contacts are saved with country code (+972-xx-xxxxxxx) but incoming calls are coming without country code (0xx-xxxxxxx).
So the problem is that the HTC doesn't recognize the contact that is calling.
If I save the contact without the country code it is fine, but I need to keep all my contacts with country code so this is not the solution.
The phone need to recognize a phone number according to it's last 7-9 digits.
I guess the problem is only with service providers phones used in other countries, because my old Unlocked HTC One M7 is working fine.
Looked all over the web for solution but couldn't find any.
I saw that there is a fix for windows phone in here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=573692
I need the same fix for Lollipop.
Does anyone knows how to solve this?
Thanks!

Google dialer shows contacts that I disabled in contacts app? topic
Heyho,
on android 5 I went into the contacts app and set to display only one specific group of contacts on my google account and not to dsplay anything else. Still the dialer shows all contact of my google account. Am I missing a setting in the stock dialer app ? I believe in the past "dialer" and "contacts" worked together?
Thanks
I should add that the "contacts" app correctly hides/shows the contacts. But the "dialer app" will simply display ALL CONTACTS and ignores what I change in the "contacts app".

[Q] Incoming phone calls not associated with contacts topic
Hi.
As title says Incoming phone calls not associated with contacts.
What ive tried:
* restore to previous date via google contacts on the web - unsuccessful
* restore to previous twrp backup - this works but as soon as i sync with google it brakes
* again restore to previous twrp backup but before i sync i export my contacts and delete all contacts via the web to import then sync. - this was ok but as soon as i sync with google it brakes again.
im out of ideas, anyone who has a better one to solve this? :(
Phone is a Galaxy s4+ i9506 running Cyanogen 12: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gala...i9506-t2988464
My guess for when this started is after running Contacs Sync Fix https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...sSyncFix&hl=en - which was supposed to fix contact sync errors. I did have a backup of my contact data but as soon as i setup a google account and it syncs it brakes. In retrospect instead of running this app i should have just removed the account then readded it. You live and you learn.....

After 5Q update my un-synced contacts & owner profile details are missing topic
Hello guys,
First of all, I shouldn't have clicked the ' Install update ' button. I was perfectly happy with the previous version. Everything worked fine for one or two days after the update. Even battery was not draining too fast. But today morning all my un-synced contacts are gone from the phone and my owner profile is gone too. . I don't like to sync my contacts with google so I manually added all the contacts when I first got the phone. Do you have any solution for this??. Is there any way to restore all those contacts ?:crying:

LG L9II Sync Contacts topic
Hello,
I'm having a small problem with my LG L9 II - Stock Kit Kat Rom V20D, rooted.
I keep all my contacts on the google server, not on my phone, for better backup.
Recently, I realised that I had multiple contacts, same name, different number. So I decided to join the contacts under a single one. For example, I had John Home number with his home number on one contact, and John Work with his work number on another. I joined the two under John, so that one contact has two telephone numbers (and maybe a facebook account) linked.
And I did this for all my phonebook.
The problem is that after resetting the phone and syncing the contacts from the google server, it didn't remember my joined contacts. I again have two phonebook entries for John, instead of one John with multiple numbers.
Oddly, deleted contacts and new entries were synced. So the problem is somewhere in the joined contacts area.
Is there a fix for this? I hate having to manually join the contacts again and again after every reset/phone switch/etc.
Thanks!

[Q] Email and Contacts Issues topic
So, I'm running the Gmail app and it works fine for my Gmail accounts. Additionally I was able to get one of my Gmail accounts to sync contacts with my phone (by adding it as an account), but then the phone keeps showing me the email even though I don't want to see it. Then I added my Yahoo account to the native Email app and the darn phone added all of those contacts as well. I disabled Contacts Sync, but the "Yahoo" contacts are all still there.. The Yahoo account contacts are a mess and I really don't want to sort them out or delete them. To be honest, here is what I want this phone to do (which is what my last Android did easily):
1) Sync my contacts from a specific Google account. Just my contacts, not my email and not my calendar.
2) Sync my email from a specific Yahoo account. Just my email, not my contacts and not my calendar.
I know there is an option that should allow me to achieve #2, but that option ain't working. Its seems to me that there are no options to support #1. I think that the only way to achieve #1 is to configure my Yahoo through another email app.
Please share any thoughts on how I can configure #1 and #2 successfully.

Hangouts - Contacts topic
I use to be able to hit the text icon on a contact, and it would go to Hangouts. Now I get a message: "to send an sms with Hangouts, turn on sms in settings" I don't think there is a setting for that on a 2012 n7. Anyone else with that issue? I'm on Purity ROM, 5.02.
