AOSP on samsung galaxy S5 SM-G900F topic

Hey!
Does anyone know how to get AOSP (or CM12) on the s5?
I've been trying for about 2 and a half hours now and I'm almost at the point of giving up.
Any help would be much appriciated.

hi there im trying to compiling aosp

now as you know aosp doesnt compile kernel at the same time,, so i added the automated kernel building from cyanogenmod but on when starting the build it comes up with this

What is the best AOSP based rom for the Galaxy S5 G900F? topic

Title says it all really. I am really disliking 5.0. It's slow and has killed my battery life so I am looking for a speedy and feature-full rom to flash onto my device.

I had just switched kernels on my galaxy tab pro 8.4 to one that has alucard and synapse control app and it's battery life and performance is amazing. Is there any kernel for htc one that has alucard and intelli-plug? Or is that just a tablet thing? I'm mostly looking for a kernel with the best battery life and performance second. I'm running CM11.

Camera APP for AOSP ROm topic

Hi guys,
I'm using Crdroid based on Cyano 12.
I don't like stock aosp camera, and I'm using Lenova camera app 3.6.7 taken from xda.
I lke this app, but it's as good as LG stock camera o Xcam.

Anyone can suggest an alternative app?

Do you know if there's a chance to see a rom like cyanogen , AOKP or slimkat for this E8 ? Even an unofficial port eventually .

It seems that developers are ignoring this device.....


P.s. Another question: actually and officially what is the last release of android for that phone? 4.4.4? And have the eye experience like m8 or not for now?

Hi,
I want to build AOSP including google apps/services to make a similar factory image as possible as.
First time, I just build a AOSP with sevral google apps but It's very insufficient.

I can see some error logs because of missing libraries, apks.
and I found that many proprietary blobs are not founded on AOSP.
Maybe I can porting it one by one manually , but it seems very annoying work...

I just want to build AOSP with google apps for nexus 5 5.0.1.
I'm a noob and worry about my silly question.
Are there any easy way for it?
Also very little tweaked custum rom should helped me.

I love the look of AOSP. Unfortunately, LG does not release camera drivers so camera quality on AOSP is generally pretty terrible. Recently, I decided to forego my typical stock g3 port and try out CyanogenMod 12, and its actually really really good and stable (on vs980 anyways). The only problem was the horrendous camera quality. Lollipop was so good (especially with xposed support starting up) that I decoded I'd try to find a fix for my problem. First off, I noticed that Lollipop had a *bit better camera quality than kitkat AOSP. This was promising but nothing good. My og droid razer still took pictures just as good. I tried the typical apps... Cm11s camera (it had bugs...) AOSP camera was terrible, Google camera was a little better than AOSP but not much. Lenovo super camera.. Still not 100% stable. I didn't use those stock camera ports as none of them are stable and those aren't what this thread is about.

I tried some play store offerings and almost gave up... But then I found something in the play store. "Open camera". Its free, open source, ad free, and somehow... It takes really good pictures and videos on AOSP on our phones.

When you open it you're greeted with a not-so-beautiful ui, but it has a lot of great features. HDR works also.. Which is nice. Actually, everything works.

The main gripe with the AOSP camera quality was low light performance. In open camera there's a ISO setting. Set the ISO to 1600 and you'll get great low light photos with little noise. You can of course use auto or higher ISO but noise will be a problem. But it is a problem on stock too at those ISO levels. Another thing I'd like to point out is that video recording is surprisingly good. No 4k yet unless your ROM supports it. The app itself supports it. Hopefully this can help someone who needs better pictures/videos on AOSP! 😎

Note: I included a test shot. Keep in mind the room was illuminated by one nightstand light. It looks brighter in the picture than it does to the eyes. Even though there's noise in the picture, its multitudes better than other options

Finally,the wait is over, found a CUSTOM ROM for Asus Zenfone 4 A400CG
thanks to the developer Anwar Movic,Tuan Torres and zenphoneviet.com
To install the aosp rom
1) Backup data using Titanium Backup
2)Download the rom here
2)Restart on Droidboot and factory reset, then plug the cable into the back in Droidboot
3)On the PC, extract boot.img and system.img into adb folder
4)Go adb folder, hold down Shift + Right-click -> Open command window here
5) type fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash system system.img
found bugs
*No self-scanning directories
*No self wave (find craft)
*Camera blurred
*Bluetooth forced to stop when paired
*Some forced to stop Google apps

I tried but I keep having kernel panic on AOSP boot (second ROM).

Hi would port one or two three AOSP ROMs like pacman or aokp to this great phone. I have it too but aren't in the mood of unlocking the boot loader without having the possibility to relock it and would need somebody to try the Rom(s).

Guys, I've been all over the site the past couple days reading posts and I haven't figured out if what I'm trying to do is possible I just flashed my first custom ROM - Gummy - KitKat 4.4.4 on my GS3 Virgin Mobile. All is fine but I have very weak cell reception - 1 bar most the time. I saw on some posts that it's hard or impossible to update PRL/Profile on AOSP ROMs. Which is it? Do I really have to flash back to stock and update then flash back to custom ROM? Is there a way to fix this issue without doing all of that?
