Completely separate user profiles on Lollipop topic

Is the a good way to make a completely separate user profile on Lollipop? I do not want each user sharing the file folders for photos and other things that should be truly separate for each user.

Anyway to do this?

[Q] All user apps crash immediately as of this morning, Galaxy S Blaze 4G topic

Last weekend I flashed the most recent CM 11 version and the Pico GApps package (from here). The phone has worked perfectly since then, very fast, no issues at all.

This morning when I turned it on I immediately saw 'Android is Upgrading' and 'optimizing __ of 42 apps.' I have all auto-updates and syncs disabled, and this is the first time this has happened.

When the phone finished booting, it told me that Chrome and my email app and AV crashed. Opening any user app results in the app crashing immediately.

I tried rebooting, same result, same Upgrading message.

I rebooted to recovery and cleaned the cache and Dalvik cache. This time I see 'Android is Upgrading' and 'optimizing __ of 132 apps.' When it finished booting, same thing - a few apps crash immediately, all other user apps crash when opening.

What's happened to my phone? I'm new at this, it's getting frustrating. I don't know why it was upgrading anything to start with...

Guys I am currently working on a university project in Android.The objective is to create a rudimentary timesharing implementation on Android platform.The basic idea is to create multiple user accounts using the Kitkat API and switch them when their alloted timeslice expires.Creating user accounts may not be difficult but I have no clue as to how to switch them.I'm pretty much a noob in Xposed programming ,so any help is appreciated.

Since today, i'm new xperia s user, and i can say, the phone is amazing.
Currently i'm using it on stock 4.1.2 and it's pretty fast, so i'm asking you do i need to flash some custom rom, will it be much faster or it is almost the same ?

[Q] HTC One - Is the Guest User feature missing from Sprint's version of Lollipop? topic

I finally got around to installing the Lollipop OTA update yesterday and I've been going through some articles looking for new features. One awesome-looking feature is the guest user feature. The only problem is that I can't seem to find a menu item for this in the settings, nor is there the user icon next to the settings icon in the notification tray. Am I missing something or is this not a feature that is included in the Sprint version?

I wanted to upgrade my firmware on my z2 and keep root, tried to follow this thread:

However, after flashing something was wrong and I ended up with a debilitated version of the new OS.
The problem is that I discovered that I didn't correctly back up my user data before, and I don't want to flash and wipe and lose all my data.
the main things I need are my sms messages and my Whatsapp backup.
is there a way to retrieve those before doing a full wipe?
my phone starts up but can't run any apps correctly. it does enter usb debugging or flashmode. there is no way to enter recovery.
what can I do to get those files?

Is wiping User Data must while flashing Custom Roms? topic

I know wipe out User data is must coming from Stock ROMs. I do flashing custom ROMs very frequently and wanted to know while flashing these custom ROMs, Wiping Data and Cache and Dalvik is what I do AND can I skip Wipe User data ?? Please help...
