[Q] More Storage Issues topic

I still have yet to fix my issue with storage. For some reason I have no Phone storage left, but almost all of my SD card storage is still empty. I thought that pictures and stuff were supposed to be stored on SD card.. or am I wrong??
Well that is not my major issue at the moment. I am actually having a problem with "write-protection"
I plugged my phone into my PC so that I can move my pictures and videos and stuff over to my SD card...
So i put my device USB Connection as a "camera (PTP)"
I found my photos, moved them to the SD card... and I wanted to delete them from the Phone Storage and when I try to delete a folder or file or anything from Phone Storage, it says "can not delete, the storage is write-protected"...
I have heard of it doing this when trying to delete from SD card... but why is m y phone saying that when I am trying to delete form the Phone Storage??
Can someone please help me out with this? I would appreciate it.. Thanks Guys!!

Google Now voice commands lockscreen issues topic

Is anybody else having problems with doing voice commands on the lockscreen since the last Google app update? It'll register the voice command, but won't start the activity until I actually unlock my phone. For example, if I ask it to play a song, it'll register it, but nothing happens until I unlock my phone. It will briefly have a white screen that says "Google App" at the top, and then it'll jump to the music app to play my song. It also does this when using voice commands with the screen off and charging.

I'm on Cloudy 1.2, and was having the same problem on Darkwulf Beta. Both Kit Kat ROMs.

Internet issues on Note 4 topic

Well, after update my note 4 to lollipop, I noticed that it is taking took much time to load pages on websites and even to load the content on Google play. But the strange part is that only occurs on my Wi-Fi, that have 60 mbps (usually it reaches 7 Megabytes per second download). When I use the 4 G connection or go to my mom's house (that have a much slower connection, 10 mbps or 1 Megabyte per second downloading), it's normal. It has some configuration that I can do to change that situation? I am gonna attach the info of my smartphone and pictures of my router... Thanks (ps : sorry about my English)

[Q] Alcatel pop icon wifi issues. topic

Hi everyone
Does anyone came across wifi problem like my Alcatel, I'm on android 4.4.2. I get wifi signal when I close to the router 1 meter, I can connected to wifi no problem. But if I move farther away I lost wifi connection, I don't know if the software issues or it there fix? If anyone have the lollipop for this Alcatel pop icon,I would like to flash it to see the wifi can be fix.

[Q] Google Now Issues topic

Hi all,

I reflashed the stock 5.0.1 image on my Nexus 6, and now I can't seem to get Google Now to work.

Pretty much this is what is happening:
1. I can't swipe left to see my cards
2. When I go into the settings, and try to select the "Show Cards" option, it is greyed out and says "network error. check your network connection and try again"

I have tried clearing the Google Search app cache, the system cache, as all as other things I came across. Nothing seems to be working.


There are a number of other threads for other devices with people reporting this same issue within the last day -- Does anyone know what is causing this issue, or if there is a working fix?

ParanoidAndroid 4.4.4 Issues - Any help? topic

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone had any experience running the latest Paranoid Android ROM on their Verizon HTC One M7?

The installation is fine, the phone boots up normally, and (at least when I set it up) wifi worked fine to get my Google account in sync. It wasn't until I disconnected from Wifi that I realized that the mobile network has some serious issues. When the phone boots, there is an LTE connection for about 2 minutes, and then everything just disappears. The signal bars show, but they are dark gray. There is no LTE icon, no data, and phone calls/texts don't work. A restart of the phone will fix this issue for another 2 minutes, and the cycle repeats.

I love Paranoid roms and I was hoping that anyone had any insight as to what I could do to fix this issue. I believe I'm running the most up to date radio (It's 5.x.x.something). Would love to get this ROM up and running flawlessly.

[Q] Issues after restoring 05Q Backup (calls.. dirty system?) topic

Well, Hello.
Yesterday, I decided to re-get myself into rom flashing, as I was sick about oneplus usual delays about lollipop.
After I flashed cleanly first blisspop, and then switched to paranoid, I was not surprised about battery drain so I decided to comet-back stock by flashing the backup I've already made before all of this.
Now I have really enough about custom roms and bad battery-life, on this part imho stock has been better for me than whatever.

Globally no problems, but one annoying : call/dialer on the cm stock app.
The app/contacts works great, it is just that when I have finished to type the number and press the call icon, then black screen, the hardware buttons are active but when pressing back or whatever it doesn't respond..
Calls are working because I hear the voice but so can't stop it.

I was blocked on this screen, so recovery and reboot each time, pretty annoying.
Here would you think that a flashable zip file of the stock app would end the problem ?
Does I have to wait for the next ota to resolve this, or do I have to re-flash the 05Q ?

I tried first some alternative call app, like exdialer etc but it does nothing..
Ideas ?
I think this is solvable..
+ When editing the local user profile (top-left corner status bar) it is not working properly, the picture doesn't want to change as editing accounts etc..

I think that I will have to do again a clean stock-rom flash process,

[Q] WhatsApp and Text Message Issues with Lollipop topic

I'm having the following issues since I've updated to Lollipop that I'm hoping somebody could help me resolve.

WhataApp: Vibrate is turned off in the app for group messages and only turned on for private messages, but the phone vibrates for all messages when the phone is on vibrate. Before, in vibrate mode, the phone only would vibrate for private messages.

Text message: Use to vibrate twice to differentiate text from other notifications, but now only vibrates once like all other notifications.

[Q] Moto G 2nd Gen Touchscreen Issues while charging. topic

Hello everyone.
I had purchased moto g 2014 a couple a months back.Initially the device used to work flawlessly but from the past 2 weeks I have been experiencing issues with the touchscreen which dosent respond correctly while charging.It goes crazy when I hold the touch.Its been really difficult to work with the phone while charging.At around 80-90 percent is stabilizes a bit.Its dosent have any issue while off charger(ie once I unplug the wire it is still crazy but comes back to normal in a while),
I have tried to charging it with my moto charger which came along with my phone and have also tried charging with a Samsung,Sony and Nokia charger (all lower rated) but that too dosent fix the issue.I have even tried usb charging.Now those who would say the my apartments power outlets are noisy,well 4 different phones charge just fine without any issue.
I have even tried fixing this by upgrading to lollipop and then also a hard reset but both were useless.
So I really need to find a fix.Pls help.

Gear manager + S Issues topic

After updating the watch to the latest ROM, i did a factory reset.
now, in Gear manager i cannot see the apps installed on Gear S (there were installed through automatically backup). In Seeting at MANAGE APPS and UNINSTALL APPS it says there are no apps installed. i want to delete an app from gear S...
and the double press option in gear Manager shows only 2 options. NONE and LATEST APPLICATIONS. no S voice..no nothing.
if i chose from gear S the S voice when i double press, it works only once..then it returns to the option NONE...

any help?

S-View Issues topic

Hey a quick question- I have an AT&T note 3 and the spigen slim armor view case. Whenever i wake the phone with the cover on, it shows the normal lock screen, not the s view. This happens only after the screen has been off for a minute or two. Any help? Running a Note 4 4.4.4 port btw if that helps any. Could it be rom related?

LS990 Update Issues topic

hello everybody, quick question and i apologize in advance if this has been covered somewhere else or for just being a dumb question in general; I have the LG G3 from sprint and a little over a month ago i had a friend root my phone and convert it back to stock android. In anticipation for android 5.0 I removed the root. for over the past week I have been spamming the update software button and still have no lollipop. one of my good friends told me that by converting back to stock android i probably disabled the over the air updates. I was wondering about how to go about getting the updates, i have seen some posts suggesting to use the lg flash tool but I did not really comprehend how to use it. sorry if this is something stupid still really new to android.

Mp3 playback issues topic

Hi All,

I've been having a strange and very annoying problem with playing mp3 songs since the lollipop update. To describe the problem using both stock music app and Google Play Music app while using bluetooth headset (Sony SBH80):

Some songs that played without issues few minutes ago would not play getting the "could not play the requested song" error but when I dismiss the error message and hit play button manually the song plays fine. Same thing would happen after I skip to the next song. This does not happen all the time, sometimes it all works perfectly (like now while writing this post). After the update I did factory reset and formatted sd card. I also tried to wipe cache and data from both apps and deleted media storage data. Any advice?

Bluetooth sound quality issues topic

Has anybody been having problems with Bluetooth sound quality? On calls, other end gets a really bad echo, and I get a bit of static on my end. Just came from a Nexus 5 and then HTC One m8, headset is a Moto hx550, and it was crystal clear on both. Latest radio, tried factory reset and different roms, all sound the same.

[Q] DOPO d7020 stuck in loop with mysterious issues topic

I bought this tablet exactly a year ago, never modified or rooted it, and suddenly a lot of apps started having issues. Went to reinsall a few of them then suddenly the whole OS froze.
Rebooted and the Dopo splash would show, then the android logo showing movement like it is trying to boot but gets stuck there.

Tried going into recovery by holding the power and volume button, that *worked* but when selecting factory reset then it crashed again.
So I repeated the process and now it won't even boot into recovery using the power and volume button!
Tried running the battery dead and restarting, tried using the reset button pinhole. Nothing worked.

I installed adb and fastboot (I use linux) and went through most of the simpler procedures.
adb connects and I can run its shell and view my files that are on the tablets. Ran the command to see its debugging output and noticed that the boot loop was because the filesystem turned everything except userspace to read-only!

Now here is what is real odd.. when I try pushing a file onto the tablet using adb, it instantly becomes corrupted when reading it back.
Like if I make a simple text file called hello.txt with some text in it saying "Hi there!", when I push that file onto the tablet, then read its contents it is gibberish.

This leads me to believe the whole filesystem somehow became corrupted and can no longer write files properly.
There doesn't seem to be a way to run fsck or anything alike and I can not put any files on the tablet because they instantly become garbled.
No use in running fastboot when the tablet no longer can go into the recovery screen either by vol+power pressing or by adb reboot recovery. Both simply just try to boot the tablet normally now, unlike the first time I tried :mad:

Assuming I have the factory .img file is there any way I can fix this?
Or does this sound like the hardware got damaged?
I fear the worst at this point.

[Q] Issues with USB data connection on Linux topic

After a while, Debian Jessie will just stop recognizing my phone. It will come up with and "MTP inaccessible" error and refuse to mount my phone. It still charges, but it doesn't allow me to transfer data to and from the phone. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

[Q] issues with battery stats showing false info on cm12? topic

I seem to be having some issues with my stock battery stats showing false info, have attached some screens of both the android stats and the stats from gsam battery monitor
One plus running cm12 nightly, clean flashed 15/02/15 build and then dirty flashed 19/02/15 build,

My stock stats are showing my screen as using 9% battery with 3 and a half hours screen on time seems stupidly low, i use auto brightness and about 30% brightness),however WhatsApp is showing the same amount of battery drain with only 2mins of app usage. When I look at gsam it shows totally different info.

When looking at these stats it might be worth noting that Spotify and all stream were streaming music to my apple TV for 2-3 hours and only show around 4% usage on battery stats.

Any help would be appreciated, not sure if I need to recalibrate the battery? Iv read that on a few threads while searching for info

[Q] LG D855 Heat and battery issues topic

Hello everyone !

Last december I bought a branded LG D855 [Firmware: v10H]. However, like 2 weeks ago, my phone started to overheat on the rear region, near the camera module and button, plus a decrease in battery life. I normally use the screen brightness set to 70%, but lately I reduced it to 65% (both parameters without auto enabled), however when I try to set it to 100%, it doesn't take too long before it decreases automatically. Besides of the bright issue, the phone seems to overheat doing normal tasks, like surfing, facebook, reading, etc, I usually don't play games, inf fact the only one I have installed right now is ICE. I have Amplify, Greenify and BBS installed., if it helps at anything.

Honestly I don't know what to think about it, I really like this phone, the screen is awesome (both resolution and colours) as well the feature to use microSDXC (currently using a 64 gb SanDisk Extreme Plus), but I'm afraid that the phone will be this way from now on, or maybe my unit is just defective. What do you think guys?

[Q] Notification Issues with Cyanogenmod CM11 topic

Hi all,
I am having notification issues with Gmail and Hangouts. I cannot change the notification tone or vibration, it just stays in default. I am aware where the setting is, it just doesn't work. This problem happened in a past CM11 build, but I solved the problem using this thread. The problem is with the profiles. Under default profile, the settings work as intended. Under any other profile, the default settings over ride everything. The solution was to remove gmail and hangouts from the application groups in the profile menu. Now, however, the application groups feature was removed from CM11 and I have no way to solve the problem anymore. Please help me, and feel free to respond if you have experienced the same problem.
