no external memory error after root my phone topic

my phone was rooted using twrp & flashed with various roms
on each rom i had the same error (no external memory is available )
my phone is alcatel idol 6030d (mt6577 dual core, only 16 G internal storage with no sd slot)

Under kikat displayed ram is 1.98 GB
Under Lollipop Alexandr BOB7 displayed ram is 1. 66 GB.
Is this normal?
I made a bad manipulation?

Memory is write protected topic

I have rooted my Sony Xperia Go quite some time ago but since a month or so I get an error whenever I want to save an image or something else on my memory. The camera application says (in german) "Speicherfehler - Der Speicher ist schreibgeschützt. Dateien konnten nicht bearbeitet werden". (English: Memory failiure - The memory is write protected. Files could not be edited)
When I restart the phone everything works back again, but after a day or so the error occurs again.
Its not that big of a deal turning your phone off/on once a day, but after some time it gets pretty annoying.

My system:
Sony Xperia Go
Phantom Kernel 3.0.8
SlimBean ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/xper...-v1-3-t2326120)

Is this a known issue or am I the only one?

Apps Cannot Access Internal Memory after TWRP Recover topic

Background:
Trying out ROMs here and there, making backups along the way in TWRP. Turn out I had my favorite ROM from the start, so clean all the slates and performed a restore to Hybrid X Series 1.07. Everything is as it was...almost.
Apps are complaining about not being able to download to internal memory, there not being enough space, etc (there's plenty). Switching the download directory of these apps to the extSdCard is my current workaround.

What I've tried:
Fix Permissions from TWRP
Repair partition /data from TWRP using e2fsck
recursive busybox chown to 1001 on /data/media
restorecon on /data/media/0
This Fix Script Also found a similar flashable ZIP which did the same thing, but to no avail

None of these seem to have any effect. Also, trying to change permissions from Root Browser works on /sdcard, but not on any subfolders. Error returned is "Changing permissions was not successful. Please note that some file systems do not allow permission changes."

Any thoughts

Purpose - Want to increase internal Phone Memory
Try everything like ...
1) Make Extra partition via mini tool & make access to link2Sd method (Result: Fail)
2) Ram Booster app (result Kernal not Supported)
3) Some times many other app says memory card must be higher then class 6

Also trying to update kernal but completely confused what to do.............. even one time made my phone in dead state but hope fully recovered from flesh tool .......................... now my mind completely wipe out ....................

Hey guys, I'm new to Android Rom development.

So I found this phone which only has 42MB internal and can't install any apps. So I want to mess with the stock Rom to free up some space. Do I delete some system apps and bloat which comes with the phone? :confused: Or do I do something else?

Also, adding build.prop tweaks, do I just add the values in the build.prop? Or is there any kind of safety measure I need to take? :rolleyes:

What's interesting is the size of /system : 1500Mo !!! That's really big when you know that CM11+Gapps take approximatively 500Mo of /system space. There also some other parition un-used for custom rom's users (/hidden which contains sammy dummy file or /fota which is for over the air update for official rom). So don't you think there should be a way to delete some partition so that we can gain in space for /userdata ? I'm asking because i know it was possible for my old phone (Galaxy ace 2) and I think it would be pretty nice to gain 1Gb of space for daily usage.

Best route to lock Chrome in memory kitkat? topic

Im looking for the best route to keep Google Chrome locked in memory. When I'm using my phone its 90% web browsing with multiple tabs in chrome open. I multi task alot and when switching to a different app like the play store and going back to Chrome, the site i was on sometimes reloads which i hate. i want chrome to stay locked in memory unless i close it manually. at most i might have 2-4 apps open including chrome. If it helps I have 3c toolbox pro installed and have access to build prop edits, oom settings, etc with that app. I of course am rooted on 4.4.2 deodexed rom stock kernel. 1 gb ram. Also have xposed framework and es file explorer.

Hello everyone

I just released my first android game and I decided to go with a memory game since I always play them and I couldn't find a game like this.

Here is a direct link to the game on Google Play and here is an html5 version of the game in case you're on the computer and you want to check the game out.

The goal of the game is basically to remember which of the coins turn red and then tap on them to score points, while avoiding to get distracted by the fact that the coins actually move around.

There are 4 modes and 4 difficulties to choose from and there's also local highscores for each one.

The game was inspired from "Iconic memory", a great memory game which sadly was discontinued and does not have working high scores at this time.

Please tell me your thoughts on this, and also maybe give a rating on google play if you're feeling generous :p .

Oh, and If anyone here is also developping a game and needs a five star rating I will be happy to give you one (and also some feedback) as we are all brothers. :D

I have been searching for an answer to this but cannot find it so decided to start a new thread. I am sorry if this is a repeat thread.

I have HTC Chacha (A810e). I have a 8gb sd card and i want to know a way to trick the OS into thinking that my SD card is the internal memory and my internal memory is the sd card. This way i would be able to install apps and updates without the issue of low memory. With this, all the android system files will be copied to the SD card as well.
I have successfully rooted my phone and installed the CWM recovery, eventhough it is s-on currently.
I request u all to kindly look into this matter and help me out please.
