Help with thumbnails taking up too much space topic

Hi i set up my advancedsettings and they are working fine,mbut i seen lots of complaints about thumbnail taking up too much room, so to avoid that problem i want to set up some advancedsettings to stop this before it happens..


Im using the easyadvancedsettings tool in xbmc, can anyone tell me some good numbers to set so thumbnails dont take up too much space...

I've got a problem. I'm trying to upload a stock rom to my Alcatel OT 6030X but unfortunately, after few other errors which I solved, there comes "S_NOT_ENOUGH_STORAGE_SPACE".
I'm plugging phone to PC without SD card, before these customizations I did factory reset and flash formats, so is it possible that my phone is just totally cleared inside? Downloading EBR1 with SP Flash Tool doesn't help, same error, weird...
Help please :(

Before I begin this is a POTENTIAL fix.
This may or.may not work for you.

The problem happened after I tried to restore the data partition from my backup after clean installation of the rom.

What seemed to fix it was a "dirty" flash over again and wiping the cache/dalvik.

I'm now able to install apps and update without no issues.

Hello,

many users complain that since lollipop their system partition size doesn't reflect the actual system of the block device. Therefore, they can not install some extra in this partition( busybox, big gapps packages,etc.).

This is due to the system image size:
One of the parameter of your system partition is its size, but if the block device(i.e. the part of your internal storage that will be mounted for the system partition)'s size that is mounted is larger than the system partition's size than you will loose some space.

Fortunatlly resize2fs executable allows to modify an ext2,ext3,ext4 partition size:

How to free up space by installing cm on my note2 topic

I noticed that when I am on stock rom, android takes more than 5gb of space out of 16 GB and I am left with around 10 GB. But when I install Cyanogenmod which is around about 300mb, I still get around 10 GB of free space out of 16. Why is that?
If I am removing a bigger rom and installing a compact one in place of it, shouldn't I be getting more space?
