Lumia not connecting topic

Hello, 2 weeks ago, I have upgraded my Lumia 520 to Windows technical preview. Everything was working fine. Today I did hard reset of the device. After booting, the phone now wont connect to WiFi or cellular showing message in attachment. What can I do? I tryed to reset it few more times, set APN manually, used WP recovery tool, still no success.

1>Windows Phone 8.1 with 8.10.14xxx can't succeed with CustomWPSystem_0500.xap app with sdcard selection error
2>windows insider app update stopped wifi trick s and gives errors.


Workground Preparation :-

if you dont have enough sys freespace

1>download and install " Nokia Care Suit 5 "by googling it.
2>install any contry varient of phone by going "http://www.mrcrab.net/Nokia-Product-Code.html?ProductCode=xxxxxxx" here xx indicates product code of your lumia
3>its better bethod to reflash anytime you want insted of "Windows Phone Recovery Tool" because there are download failures

windows phone 10 tutorial starts now:-

Requirements :-
1> Lumia Device with Windows Phone 8.1 and SD card.
2>windows 8 or higher PC with windows phone sdk or lite version installed
3> "sys Free Space" 300MB or Higher (check it on WIndows Insider app by selecting about option )
4>WiFi Connection about to Download 800MB Update,(if not ,Make Wifi Hotspot With Other Mobiles)

Preparing phone
its just to change two things of phone to get wp 10 update by insider app.
1>"phoneManufacturerModelName"
2>corrusponding "PhoneMobileOperatorName"

Follow the Order Carefully:-
1>remove "preview for Developer " and "windows Insider" apps if you already installed and restart the phone
2>Open the Storage Sence ,Go to "Store new apps on my" option and select 'SD card '.
3>go to store and install " metro commander(free)" ,"preview for Developer " and "windows Insider" app.no need to login in preview app
4>Deploy "CustomPFD_0003.xap" and "WPSystem_Folder_Unlocker_Release_ARM.xap" by using sdk app deployer.
5>make sure all above apps are in sdcard by going Storage Sence. if not move from phone tosd, close all apps in phone, then go offline mode.
6>>open " WPSystem_Folder_Unlocker app" click on "unlock WpSystem Folder" option,you will see success popup and close it

read 5th step twice and understand the proceess, all other manual swap method leads to errors.use metro commander(free) only

5>open metro commander on left side select 'add shortcut ' select sd card and open WPSystem rename "Apps" to "Appx"
in renamed Appx Folder go to {178ac8a1-6519-4a0b-960c-038393741e96} folder you should delete folders one by one by holding it,
press back button then go to {27d6a090-50d2-4337-88cb-41d97597757a} do not do any thing now
all the above process on leftside only on right side you still have "add Shortcut" Option
now Right side select 'add shortcut ' select sd card and open 'WPSystem folder' and go to {178ac8a1-6519-4a0b-960c-038393741e96} which will be empty now
now select leftside click on middle button which is 'sellectall ' icon
it will select all folders at menu 'copy button 'appear then select it
wow all files will start coping from left to right now,wait untill 100%
final step rename back "Appx" to "Apps" and close app
"all process at 5th stage should done at a time without leaving app"
"preview for developer " patched Successfully you will notice icon change
Finally:--
open "preview for developer
goto HKLM -> SYSTEM -> Platform ->"phoneManufacturerModelName" then type "RM-978_1046" click 'write' and
goto HKLM -> SYSTEM -> Platform -> "PhoneMobileOperatorName" then type "000-IN" click 'write'
above values for all indian lumia phones .
close the app and open windows insider go online
wow now you can get " insider fast/slow" option click it, finish it and press phone update through wifi.

Some other examples:
RM-978_1051 = 000-PL (so PL CV of NL630)
RM-984_1001 = 000-DE (so DE CV of NL830)
RM-984_1004 = 000-FR (so FR CV of NL830)

Selling Lumia 1020 + Otterbox Case (modified) + 2 wireless charging plates topic

I've just put my Lumia 1020 up on eBay. Obviously it's a 41 mega pixel camera. It comes with an Otterbox Defender case and two wireless charging plates. I've modified the Otterbox case so that it works with the wireless charging plates (I took a wireless charging case and fitted the elements into the Otterbox). I've also paid EE to send me the unlock code which I will be getting in 5-10 days (when the listing is due to finish) so if your'e not on EE it can be unlocked.

Lumia 820 bricked and flash mode topic

Hi,
I've a problem with my Nokia Lumia 820 (RM-825). I was reinstalling it using Windows Phone Recovery tool when the phone has turned off and now it's bricked. The battery was high but I don't see any boot, no vibration and no buttons combination (volume down, power or volume down, power and camera) resolves the issue.
I've downloaded the firmware using Navifirm and now I'm trying to flash it using Nokia Care Suite, but it doesn't recognize that my Lumia is connected. When I plug the USB, the system install the qhsusb_dload driver and after some seconds it seems unplugged.
I've tried Nokia Phoenix but the RM-825 is not listed and changing Phoenix.ini file is not enough because the model selection doesn't work.
Any idea how to solve this problem?

[Q] Verizon Nokia Lumia 929 or ICON topic

Ok, I don't see a thread for this question, but I'm sure there could be by this point. Please forgive my ignorance and point me to where and if this thread should be posted. I was given a Verizon based Nokia Lumia. I have been told it is called an Lumia ICON, but when you look at "about" its called a Nokia Lumia 929. In all my searching of XDA, I don't see a thread for either an ICON or the 929. I see lots of refs to a Lumia 920, but not 929. Bottom line, I wanted to unlock this phone for use with my carrier T-Mobile. In speaking to them, they will give me a T-Mobile sim card, but obviously I have to unlock it on my own. Is there a way to "root" this phone like I have done with previous IPhones? Is there a difference between a Lumia 920 and 929? What is that difference? Are the "UNLOCK SIM CHIP" web sites trustworthy at all? Is this the only option I have, to provide my IMEI number to them and hope for any unlock code from their databases? Like I said, I want to unlock/jailbreak this phone for use with my current carrier, but at this point would also be happy with just some basic enlightening of my ignorance. I'm currently using what "about" says is a Lumia 521, but every search I do on this number, anywhere, spits back only 520's. Is the 521 designation just to distinguish what carrier put it out. Is this the numbering system that Nokia/Microsoft uses to tell them apart? If this is all together the wrong place to launch this thread, please just let me know where I should put it. TIA for putting up with my stupidity.

Lumia 520 - Unable to find a bootable option topic

A friend has asked me to look at this Nokia Lumia 520, apparently it turned on one day and displayed this error message "unable to find a bootable option. Press any key to shutdown"



Nokia Software Update for Retial recognises the phone and says software can be installed:



This downloads fine and starts the install process, however always fails with the message "phone not supported by nokia software updater retail"

I have also tried using NaviFirm+, searching for the product code 059S3T5 which lets me download the RM914_3058.50000.1425.0006_RETAIL_eu_euro1_327_06_ 452364_prd_signed firmware.

However i'm unable to flash this with the Nokia Care Suite, it states: 0xFA001106: Signature check of FFU file fails. Reason(s): The FFU file is not correctly signed or not signed for this device.



Has anyone got any suggestions on what else i can try to flash this firmware? or to try fix the phone?

I was following the tutorial here Flash/unbrand Lumia devices thinking if the firmware was re flashed all would be fine.

[Tutorial] How to get Windows10 on All lumia with sd card support topic

Hi guyz,
This trick lets u install w10 on all sd card enabled lumia's.Use with own care. you must have preview for developers installed in prior to continue with these steps.
1.Download and deploy custom_wpsystem.xap tool from this link.
Note:install this tool only on phone memory.

2.next download custom_pfd tool and place it in sd card.

3.Now open customWPSystem tool.At startup u can see "SD Card permissions" as red in color.Now click on that , browse and select SDcard again to apply permissions.
4.Now you can see "SD Card Permissions" as green in color.
5.After changing SD Card permissions click on browse xap button.
6.Browse and select custom_pfd.xap from SD card and click Apply Xap Button.
7.After successfully applying custom_pfd tool to preview for developers goto preview for developers.
8.Now u can see the registry editor.
9.Browse to HKLM -> SYSTEM -> Platform -> DeviceTargettingInfo
10.there we have to change couple of values.
1.change phoneFirmwareRevision from default to ->>01061.00066.14235.36002 and click the write button.
2.change phoneManufacturerModelName ->> RM-978_1046 and click the write button.
11.Thats it!.Goto windows insider app and choose update of your choice.

Lumia 822 stuck after update! topic

I was trying to update my 822 to windows 8.1

And now when I try to boot the phone it says - >

Unable to find bootable option - Press any key to shut down.

OR sometimes it just shows a nokia Logo and stays this way!


I have tried the lumia Software recovery tool, this is what happens.
