I just got my blacklisted Kindle Fire HD 8.9 today and want to flash a custom ROM. I did the 7 with this a while back but forgot how I did it. I do have a fastboot cable. I tried that KFFirstAide64 but I never get it to root, I gave up on it on the 7 and succeeded with the KFHD System.img Restore Tool, can I do this with the 8.9 also?

I installed Windows 10 on a Lumia 635, and it was far too unstable to use.

I learned I could remove it and reinstall 8.1 with the Windows Phone Recovery Tool. http://winsupersite.com/windows-phon...preview-phones Seemed simple enough.

When I installed the tool and connected my phone, the phone restarted, and a red screen with "nokia" appeared. A status bar began to fill. Then, the tool announced it lost the connection to the phone.

Now, I have a phone with a red screen. Can't reboot it. My computer won't recognize it.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Stuck on Firmware Update Screnn / loosing connecting via Flash Tool topic

Hello,
so i tried to upgrade my Android using .kbz file. I downloaded flash tool and set eveyrthing like in tutorials. Then my phone started updating but in half way software said :

I deleted LTE LG G3 modem from Windows devices and changed port to COM41.

Now i dont know what to do. I cant update via Flash Tool because there is problem with connection and i cant even start my phone! Argh...

Can you help me please?

I was getting tired of typing all the time the same ADB commands so I wrote a Tool which combines the most useful ADB Commands in a GUI Program so it is easy to use and much faster than typing the commands.

Features
The tool supports all of those functions:
Show current attached devices
Reboot directly to recovery
Reboot directly to bootloader
Flash a zip via Sideload
Install a APK
Make a Backup
Restore the device

Requirements
The ADB and device drivers have to be installed.
It is currently only running on Windows. I am already working on it to run on Linux (maybe it is working with Mono I haven't tested it so far).

Why should I backup it?
When you start to mod your phone, sometimes may happen that you lose it (a bad flash, a wrong mod...) and without your phone is like this. Shortly, you lose mobile network forever.

The Qualcomm variant of Galaxy S4 doesn't have IMEI stored in EFS as most people think, it's stored in another place. Partitions to backup/restore are 8, each is required by the system to have IMEI. These are: EFS (there is IMEI's country code), modemst1, modemst2, m9kefs1, m9kefs2, m9kefs3, backup and fsg. It doesn't do miracles, so if you lose IMEI and don't have a backup, you're lost.

Installation

1. Download tool from the link below


2. Put the zip file in your sdcard


3. Reboot in recovery


4. Install zip from sdcard


5. Choose downloaded zip file


6. Reboot system

Usage
When installed, the "imeibkp" executable goes in /system/bin. Obviously root is a must. This is not an app, so to run it you must use Terminal Emulator. It's very user-friendly and n00b-approved (joking :laugh:), normally you shouldn't run into issues while using it.

1. Open Terminal Emulator


2. Write su and press enter (this is to obtain root access)


3. Invoke this tool by writing imeibkp and pressing enter


4. To restore just invoke again imeibkp

In case you want to export your backup, it is in /sdcard/IMEIBackup and called IMEIBackup.zip (Internal Memory on PC through USB connection)
If you change ROM you'll lose this tool (you'll not lose a backup already made), in this case just follow again Installation steps
