Selling Lumia 1020 + Otterbox Case (modified) + 2 wireless charging plates topic

I've just put my Lumia 1020 up on eBay. Obviously it's a 41 mega pixel camera. It comes with an Otterbox Defender case and two wireless charging plates. I've modified the Otterbox case so that it works with the wireless charging plates (I took a wireless charging case and fitted the elements into the Otterbox). It also comes with a a charger, car charger and I've taken lots of photos... see the eBay listing - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/-/171698344225. I've also paid EE to send me the unlock code which I will be getting in 5-10 days (when the listing is due to finish) so if your'e not on EE it can be unlocked.

Republic Wireless Soak Tests 4.4.4 - I have the update! topic

So I got chosen for the 1000 user soak test. Sadly I seem to be unable to take it. I have an unlocked bootloader an am rooted. I tried to remove Xposed Framework and unroot, but with no success.

When I revert back to a clean 4.4.2, I loose the soak test it seems. I have captured the update file though. You guys can dig through it.

I also tried to use the fastboot command "update (filename)" but got some errors. You guys let me know what you think.

[Q] Wireless woes topic

Running cm-11-20141112-SNAPSHOT-M12

I have always had wireless problems on the Nook Color, and this is one of the most frustrating of all.

Scanning for networks (in settings) is not finding any networks (just keeps scanning forever), BUT I am getting notifications about wireless networks becoming available, and the networks are showing up just fine on apps such as Wifi Analyzer.

I have deleted all of the saved networks (someone told me that was supposed to help, but it didn't). I assume i just need to reset something somewhere, but I have no idea what). I guess there is always the big reset (complete reinstall), but I would rather avoid that if possible.

Any ideas?

Iottie Wireless Care Charger topic

I just installed this yesterday, and I am very impressed with this charger. It was an easy install and does not fall off of my curvy dash. Slides in with one click and easy to remove. I love not having to plug my phone in for charging in my car. I might have to invest in wireless charging for home. Just to easy. By the way I got it for under . Just do a quick search, I am not sure if I am allowed to post links to commercial sites.

Cricket Wireless and Moto X Dev Edition. topic

The description says the phone uses the following bands:
3G UMTS bands: 850/900/ AWS/1900/2100 MHz with HSPA+ up to 42 Mbps (B5/B8/B4/B2/B1)
4G LTE bands:700/AWS/1900MHz (B17/B4/B2),

I'm looking to use this phone with Cricket, or other similar carriers such as MetroPCS in Jacksonville, Florida.

Before I purchase I can't seem to determine if this phone is compatible with those carriers and will achieve LTE/4G /3G reception. It's important that mostly 4G/LTE is possible as I get signal drops in my area without those bands.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Starting today, wireless carriers have to unlock your phone topic

Once you've paid off your contract, carriers can't say no.

by Jon Brodkin - Feb 11 2015, 8:31am CST

Major wireless carriers in the US have promised to unlock customers' phones or tablets once they've paid off their contracts, beginning today. This is the result of an agreement the carriers made with FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler in late 2013; the deadline to comply with all portions of the agreement arrived today.

[ROOT] N5206_EX_23_150108 root method with working wireless topic

Even simpler root than Imageek's method for the older versions: If you have already tried Imageek's method and now have broken wireless, see Post #2

Download http://teamw.in/project/twrp2/282 and http://download.chainfire.eu/supersu

Code:

adb reboot bootloader
fastboot oem unlock
fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.8.4.0-n3.img
fastboot reboot
adb reboot recovery

Flash Super SU

Code:

adb shell
su
mount -o remount,rw /system
echo "/system/xbin/su --daemon &" >> /system/etc/init.qcom.post_boot.sh

Reboot and you're rooted.

Wireless Module topic

So I recently picked up a used TF300T and unfortunately its plagued by the horrible wifi bug. Now unfortunately because well its no longer under warranty I am looking at ways to fix this. One of the things that I have come across is the wifi module is different through different versions.

For example if I look at the wireless board I have in my tablet it has a date stamp, part number and I think a manufacturer name. I don't recall the date stamp on mine but the part number is the same but the manufacturer name is Aconn_xxx.

I recently was looking at Ebay and a few other sources for these and this is when I discovered the variances. So I was curious if the people of XDA who have good wifi reception on their tablet would be willing to open their cases and post the information visible on the wifi module.

I am currently looking at one that says the following:
2012.02.03
14007-00310100
INPAQ

Just curious to see if this has any relevance.

$12 Wireless Charging through an Otterbox Defender!!! topic

Hi everyone. Just wanted to share my experience here. I've got my note 3 covered and protected with an otterbox defender as well as a Glass pro screen protector. I found a wireless charging kit that seems to charge fairly quick with the defender on! I averaged 20% per hour with the screen set to always on ( lowest brightness). I should also note that I am running tweaked 3.5. Below is the link to the eBay seller I got mine from. Want to know the best part? It was only USD!!!!! I can't speak for the brand as far as longevity goes as I only had it for a few days.... but it does seem to work. I haven't tested to see if I lost NFC though. Nothing to really test it with but please let us know if you try it ! Also, the cover gets a tad warm but it says 93.7 degrees ( again with screen on ) when checking with battery spy.

Hope that helps some fellow note users out :)
