I've used a d610 for about 8 months now but haven't tried if a USB MHL adapter works. Can anyone confirm this as I haven't seen any proof that it is, and I'd be surprised if it didn't due to it's USB OTG support.

Warranty Support topic

So my usb port is messing up as now I have to add pressure to the cable in order for it to charge. I have cleaned the port and while there was a good amount of lint in it, it still needs pressure for it to charge. I have contacted HTC and they gave me the option to send it for repair or get a new one and send the old one in. However since it is S-OFF & rooted, I was wondering if flash the RUU and switch back to S-ON will it be ok? Since they had told me that if the boot loader had been unlocked etc it no longer is covered by the warranty. Sorry for the long post

T-Mobile Support Does Not Show an Upcoming Lollipop for G3 Update topic

Xperia ZR with External USB Modem Support topic

Hello All,

This is my 1st thread here ... and i have discovered the a very nice feature in the Device ..
My device details :
- C5502 , i.e : No LTE
- OS : 4.4.4
- Build Number : 10.5.1.A.0.283
- Root : No
I have a Vodafone USB Modem , which can be connected via Web Access ( hi link ) .. the Modem details :
- Brand : ZTE
- Model : K4201-Z

I just connected the Modem to the Mobile device via OTG Cable , ( very common one , nothing special ) , and i can find a Fancy Icon for Network LAN connection , instead of HSDPA or 3G .. :D .. and pointed the connection on the Browser to 192.168.9.1 , and Pressed Connect :) ..
now the Mobile internet access is working through the Modem .. which is flawless ...

I tried the same with Z2 , and it is not working , also tried with Note 3 , Moto G 2014 , and even G2 , they all are Not working :D
I am attaching screenshot showing a successful connection using the Modem :D ..
Really , Impressive Phone .. I am Proud to own such device ..

LTE band support topic

I'm planning giving this phone to my mom when either the s6 or the g4 comes but the phone will be used in korea under skt telecom. I checked Wikipedia and it says they use band 3 and 5 (main frequency). Would the Verizon G3 work? Some site says Verizon one supports band 3 while some doesn't thank you. =)

My motorola support experience topic

My Motorola support experience
Something weird started happening with my phone’s battery. Tried everything to fix it, but nothing worked. Called Motorola support for help. Within 30-40 minutes, they sent me a brand new replacement phone, aka advance exchange. I was very satisfied with the quality of support and the immediate response. One unfortunate thing about the support is the lack individuals who speak at least decent English. Half the stuff the techs, there were 2 different techs, I could not understand and they couldn’t understand me either. Other than that, I was happy with the overall support.

[Q] Does 2012 N7c support 4g/LTE in the UK? topic

I have been offered a 2012 Nexus 7c (part ASUS-1B32-4G) with a Date of 2013.02 on the box.

The seller days that the "4G" at the end of the part number means that it supports 4G data (which I take to mean LTE here in the UK), but my internet research on this has been inconclusive.

Can anybody confirm or deny that this model supports 4G (LTE), or is it only 3G (HSPA+)?

HOW DO I KNOW IF IT WORKED?

in root browser goto /data/local/tmp/ and if there is a file 'init.d_log_test.txt' and inside is written the date, it worked.

if the file is not present something went wrong? please let me know if it went wrong for you an i will fix it.. :P

[Tutorial] How to get Windows10 on All lumia with sd card support topic

Hi guyz,
This trick lets u install w10 on all sd card enabled lumia's.Use with own care. you must have preview for developers installed in prior to continue with these steps.
1.Download and deploy custom_wpsystem.xap tool from this link.
Note:install this tool only on phone memory.

2.next download custom_pfd tool and place it in sd card.

3.Now open customWPSystem tool.At startup u can see "SD Card permissions" as red in color.Now click on that , browse and select SDcard again to apply permissions.
4.Now you can see "SD Card Permissions" as green in color.
5.After changing SD Card permissions click on browse xap button.
6.Browse and select custom_pfd.xap from SD card and click Apply Xap Button.
7.After successfully applying custom_pfd tool to preview for developers goto preview for developers.
8.Now u can see the registry editor.
9.Browse to HKLM -> SYSTEM -> Platform -> DeviceTargettingInfo
10.there we have to change couple of values.
1.change phoneFirmwareRevision from default to ->>01061.00066.14235.36002 and click the write button.
2.change phoneManufacturerModelName ->> RM-978_1046 and click the write button.
11.Thats it!.Goto windows insider app and choose update of your choice.

usb otg support topic

Does otg support need to be enabled in the kernel to work or is it just not implemented on the tablet. I tried making a custom kernel with it enabled but it brings fastboot up after flashing it. It booted fine when I built the kernel with all the defaults though.

Chrome Samsung support library's 5.0.1 topic

Hi,
I usually install the ''Chrome Samsung Support Library'' addon when I get a samsung device. it might as well be a placebo effect but it does feel like it makes chrome more fluid on the galaxy's devices.

Installed it now on 5.0.1 and didn't feel any difference. Do you guys feel any differences while using Chrome with it?

[Q] Do any of these ROMs support voice and data at same time? topic

I'm starting to get really disappointed with my brand new Note 4. for several reasons.
Now I've discovered that it does not support voice and data at same time. That is a HUGE HUGE HUGE problem for me - especially if I'm using it as a notspot and miss phone calls. Are there any ROMS that deal with this issue? If not then I need to give up and return the phone before my 14 days is up.

I have htc one X chrooted with linux kali using linux deploy app.
I want to modify the kernal in order to run rtl8187 as external adapter.
I downloaded the kernal source code from htc dev and extracted it I read many posts specially this post about modules http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1455382 and but I am still dont know what to do. I followed these steps:

"• Install chroot Ubuntu or any other distribution on your Prime.
• chroot to the distribution
• wget the kernel source from Asus
• $ mkdir linux; cd linux
• unpack the kernel source here
• modify Makefile, Find the CFLAGS_MODULE line, add -fno-pic this flag to the end of the line: CFLAGS_MODULE = -fno-pic
• $ zcat /proc/config.gz > .config
• $ make oldconfig"
but I still dont know WHAT AM I DOING?

[Q] Support for Galaxy Young S6313T topic

As some of you might be aware of, in Brazil Samsung sells the model GT-S6313T under the acronym of Galaxy Young TV Duos, with dual chip support and Digital TV reception functionalities. I happen to have one of those phones and was wondering whether it could be possible to use any custom ROM in it, such as the one for S6310 for instance. Have you ever had any experience in that?

FauxSound Support - :( topic

I just recently got a Moto X only to know about how poor the dev. support is. The one thing that I really really miss is FauxSound support.
The headphone output of the phone is really low and sounds horrible. I'm sure that FauxSound can amplify the sound. I tried V4A but it doesn't help.

Can all of us request any great kernels like ElementalX, FauxKernel, Franco Kernel to be made for our phone too? Or is it impossible to make it work with the stock ROM? :(
