But i did not wanted to unlock bootloader becouse of some error that happened during unlocking it (cant solve it). So i found rooting tutorial without unlocked bootloader. I did everything what was in video, now i have custom recovery TWRP and clockworkmod.

Also i have SuperSU and Xposed installer on my phone and some of my default apps are missing.

But here's a problem. Basically i don't have root. All of root checkers are saying that i havent got root and root apps dont work.

Also SuperSU is saying "there is no SU binary installed, and superSU cannot install it , this is a problem. if you just upgraded to android 4.3 , you need to manually re-root-consult the relevant forums for your device"

What should i do if i want to root my device properly ? Can anyone give me step by step tutorial or something so i cant brick my phone ? (Im really scared of bricking :D)

Just unlocked my Moto G. Now what? idk if i should get a customer ROM which I do want, but do I need to get a recovery and or kernel update as well? excuse my lack of knowledge in this stuff. it was a pain getting it unlocked since i had to perform extra steps since the passcode key was incorrect due to the fact the phone was upgraded to 4.4.4 kitkat. anyways it is unlocked but I want to get the most out of this phone, the service is of Boost Mobile

[Q] Moto G XT1031 Stuck on "Bootloader Unlocked" Screen topic

Hello there,

Recently I had tried to go back to back from cyanogenmod 4.4.4 to stock 4.4.4, I accidentally flashed a XT1033 4.4.4 version.
Which was successful, but as I have a XT1031 device my phone does not use a sim card.

I then found a correct XT1031 4.4.4 stock firmware, but when I flashed this I had gotten stuck on the Bootloader Unlocked screen.
I tried it again with the same firmware, as well as others I found around, with little success.

I back tracked to the XT1033 version, went into fastboot mode and installed a custom recovery, CWM to be specific.
I then tried to sideload a stock 4.4.4 XT1031 ROM, I managed to get past the bootloader unlocked screen, but my phone then got stuck on "Starting Services" and I also noticed it was still getting detected as XT1033 on my computer.

Once again I tried to flash stock 4.4.4 firmware, again getting stuck at the bootloader unlocked screen.


At this point I'm at a loss how I should proceed or if my phone is even recoverable, I'm not worried about my data (as I backed it up before this whole fiasco, if only I had backed up a ROM too...).:confused:
If it wasn't obvious already, I'm not too experienced with all this, but at this point I'm just wondering if I should order another moto g. :(

Hi guys,
I had my Note 2 on Koodo network for less than a year. Recently I unlocked it and sold it to a friend. My friend is on Videotron network and the phone shows the signal with an R like if my friend was roaming however it works properly. I also tried switching the network manually but it doesn't want to connect to Videotron. Is there something that I need to flash such as modem maybe ? It's running on Slimkat latest stable version.

Factory unlocked note 4 question. topic

I just have a quick question, there's a store that sells factory unlocked Verizon and Att&T Note 4's and my question is (sounds dumb) are the bootloaders locked as well? I'm looking forward to buying one in April, but if the bootloader is still locked even though it's a factory unlocked device I'm not going to buy it since I want a unlocked bootloader for obvious reasons.

I was coming home from the cottage went thru a dead zone with no service.
when I looked back down at my phone it said unregistered sim card...
with the phone being unlocked.. instantly thought blacklisted....
My sim works in other phones just wont register on this phone.. however I tried to put another sim from my mothers bell and it brought up bell on the phone.
I have contacted telus my provider and they just keep saying its something with your phone because my card works elsewhere in other phones,

I've been searching far and wide.. Each theory to understand the failures that's inside. DUN DUN
So, anyways I have an AT&T unlocked and currently using it for TMOBILE.
I've read things from build.props changes to flashing band radios such as .33 to try to obtain 4gLTE.
Also changing APN settings. Went through t-mobile services at least 5 times through live chat and calling.
Went through AT&T live chat. EVEN WENT AS FAR TO CONTACT SAMSUNG.
Every attempt failed to help me achieve 4gLTE for Tmobile using the unlocked AT&T s5.
People said they are able to use their AT&T phones and have LTE for Tmobile.
But on the other hand people said it is not possible because the 2 carriers use different bands or radio towers or whatever.

So, can someone please tell me is there a solution to having and keeping LTE for T-mobile using an unlocked AT&T phone. It's been about 3 days of search after work and this search for the philosopher stone is tiring.

Yes I am from nooberia not knowing basic information about sim stuff is the normality for me.
I read places the V note 4 is factory unlocked, even tmobile the other day told me that I can use it in their network just not a tmobile note 4 on verizon. so I tried to put in an active sprint sim and well I figured like on the tmobile note 3 I would get a screen asking for the unlock code. Nooooo. LOL booted up like normal except icon at the notification bar says "unrecognized sim"

I've just got an AT&T note 4 and it is sim - unlocked already, but i can not got the OTA update from the server, every time i clicked on the update it is always the latest but i know AT&T rolled out an update in December for Note 4, and i am still stucking in the factory build number. Can anyone help me :(

Unlocked Sprint S4 Strangeness topic

I have a Unlocked my Sprint S4 by instructions on this forum and been using it on Straight Talk for months. Just recently found out some oddities:

1. I can send but cannot receive picture messages. I have checked and rechecked the APN settings. even deleting everything, re-entering the settings and restarting the phone.


2. The phone number listed in Settings > More > About Device > Status is the previous owner in California.


3. #2 is not that big of a deal except that the voice mail button on the dialing pad calls that number, not my own number to check messages. (I got around this by using Google Voice.)


4. Possibly related to #2 is when I send group text messages, the recipients get the message as if it was sent from the previous owner's California number.

How can I solve at least #1 and #4?

[Q] Unlocked Galaxy Ace 2 + new ROM = lost unlock? topic

Hi everyone. I received my very first Android phone a couple of days ago, a Samsung Galaxy Ace 2. I did some research on the Android OS (my phone came with Gingerbread) and I found out about Cyanogenmod. So today, I installed C11 (found it right here http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2568105) after a lot of sweat and blood... And I got it to run nicely, but I noticed I can't get my network to work. The phone was previously unlocked (I bought it used), and when I first tried my SIM on it, it worked.

When I first had to install CWM in order to be able to install the ROM, I succeeded in rooting it, and I noticed that the phone was still rooted after flashing it (though I don't know if that came along with C11). But anyway, I can't get my network to work; I removed the battery and the SIM a couple of times, but it didn't work. Now I don't know what to do. Could anyone please give me a hand on this? I know nothing about Android. Thanks in advance.

Getting Unlocked GN3 Tomorrow. topic

So I'm transferring over to Straight talk on with the Note 3(SM-N900). I've only been with Sprint and don't know If I root and switch roms, that i'll lose the unlocked status. As long as the APN settings are aligned with straight talk, wouldn't I be fine? Or would I not be?
PS. I had a note 3, but it got stolen :S

[Q] Got my phone unlocked - but they rooted it - can I unroot? topic

I recently had my Orange Galaxy S2 i9100P unlocked by the local phone shop.
The unlocking worked fine, but I have now noticed that it has been rooted too.
It has a superuser app installed, which he said he didn't realise it had installed.
Not sure that I want it to be rooted when I sell it as it might put off potential buyers.
So I called the shop and asked if it has to be rooted to unlock it and he said that it does.
He said that the other way to unlocked it is to use a code but that system is currently down (the website that gives out codes) and it would cost £26 instead of the £10 that I paid to have it unlocked using root. I asked him if I could unroot it by flashing with the standard Orange firmware (using Keis) and he said yes I could and that would unroot it. When asked that if this would then lock it again he said that no it shouldn't, but he didn't seem too sure about what he was saying.
So some specific questions:-
1) Did he have to root it to unlock it?
2) Did it have to be left in root once unlocked?
3) Can I unroot it and return to standard firmware (using Keis) and it still remain unlocked?
4) If the answer to 3) is no, then can I delete / uninstall the superuser app?
5) When I run the superuser app, there is a temp unroot option. What does that do? Can I use that to unroot it?

i POST HEAR BECAUSE i WAS USING A lg p710 ...i FOUND A SIM CARD "T MOBILE" and I enter it in my LG II P710 BUT WAS LOCKED..i TRYOED 3 times to enter a pin but now is "waiting" puk ..My question is...There is a way how I can get the puk number ?So the oroblem is not the phone but the sim card.

Unlocked Sprint LS980 G2 SLOW data speeds on Tmobile service topic

Good Morning and thanks in advance. I have a Sprint LG LS980 that I unlocked and i'm using it on Tmobile prepaid 4G () plan. The data speeds however are extremely slow. Like I barely get over 3 Mbps Up or Down. I'm no stranger to flashing, adb and i've read the FAQs and whatnot on the G2 but cannot find a specific issue of data being slow. Is this a network issue or is there a radio I need to flash, or setting I need to change to make this work correctly. It doesn't appear that I'm getting 4g LTE although I'm not entirely sure that the G2 has the frequency for it. I have troubleshooted this issue with tmobile in store folks as well as customer technical support and their answer in the end is always "It's a sprint phone so it's not designed to work on tmobile" Please point me in the right direction. Thanks.
