[Q] What's wrong with my phone's display? topic

Hello

I got a new Galaxy s5, an update i was pretty happy with considering the last phone i had was a galaxy s2. I got relatively cheap, too (200 euros). Though, after i began using it more, i noticed that the display above where the keyboard should be is a bit dimmer than the keyboard section, and in white screens you can easily see permanent marks of the keyboard keys. Why are these pixels engraved in my screen? IS there a way to fix it without having to buy a new display? I was thinking about doing a dead pixel fix using an app/video, but i didn't want to cause anymore damage without some research first.

Well guys I've sunk to a low.
After countless websites and hours of searching, I can't find the stock firmware for my Samsung galaxy tab 3 7" 4.1.2 model 8 gb tablet firmware original model was the sm-t210r. Somehow I managed to flash the firmware for the sm-t211 :mad:. I don't have a backup of the original rom and I can't download any "True firmware" on my phone since my Internet is down. The wifi doesn't even connect because apparently it's an Italian variant or somewhere along that nature rendering it useless in the US.......

Any help or redirection would be appreciated

Battery level wrong topic

My device is N9005 with stock rom and Towelrooted.

Yesterday night my battery was at 48% so I charged it overnight. I got the notification that charging started. This morning I unplugged the charger, and when I picked up the phone about 1 hour later, I noticed that the battery level was at 86%, which is strange since it has only been on standby.

I checked battery usage and it shows 1 day and 14 hour on battery. this correspondents with the time I plugged in the charger last night.
I plugged in the charger again and notice that it start charging. In battery settings it shows 'charging' but it doesn't reset the timer instead the timer keeps running. The battery level also doesn't increase.

I have switched chargers, cleared cache and rebooted several times already, but no change.
I installed battery calibration, and the app shows that the battery level indeed increase, it went from 3800 mV to 4012 mV in about 30 minutes, but the percentage also doesn't increase and is identical to the stock battery indicator.

Is this a known bug or where should I look at my problem?

[Q] I unlocked and rooted/flashed and now shows wrong network. topic

Hi guys,
I had my Note 2 on Koodo network for less than a year. Recently I unlocked it and sold it to a friend. My friend is on Videotron network and the phone shows the signal with an R like if my friend was roaming however it works properly. I also tried switching the network manually but it doesn't want to connect to Videotron. Is there something that I need to flash such as modem maybe ? It's running on Slimkat latest stable version.

"Official" Lollipop N9005 - What's wrong with you Samsung?? topic

Hi,

I decided to write about my opinion, maby someone can ansewer me.
We have wait a long tiome for official LP rom. Ok, we've had a Leak (quite nice it was i must say) - but with some little issues.
"Now", when OFFICIAL rom is out, same issues i've found in the rom. So? Nothing has changed? =/ What's wrong with Samsung?
I've:
1. No time setting's in Interruptions - still !
2. Green "like" screen - i sometime get green "aplha 50%" like acreen, need to turn off, wait about few seconds and it usually goes to normal.
3. No Tabs in Chrome ?! (or i can't figure it how to lunch it) :D
4. Light sensor problems - very often my screen is set to minimum (in auto mode) - i have to klick it to manual, then slide to max and finaly change it to auto. (in maximum sunlight i cant do anything because of that)
5. And i found that i can't save (device is not saving) Edited Photos. (via Samsung Photo Editor) ??!! [on leak it was ok!]

So... conclusion? Is this "official" isn't just an earlier simply renamed Leak ?
What's wrong? Now it's time to say to KNOX "good bye" and switch to CustomRoms - I'm surprised that I was able to withstand so many time :D

PS. Can anyone give a clue about nice stabile TW custom rom (Lollipop) with most od N4 options? where abowe issues work nice and smoothly :)

[Q] There is something wrong with the SCREEN! topic

Hi guys !
I have a big problem here please help me :(........

I just bought a Fire HDX 8.9" from Amazon.com.
After a couple days, I found there is something in my screen.
It's like couple of super-tiny-red-dash-matrix, you have to watch the screen very carefully to see those things.
They look like the Attachment picture below, and they show more clearly in white background.

They are actually smaller and more blurred than the picture shows. And when I change the angle between the device and my eyes, the matrix will move up-down.

So, when I found this problem, I contacted Amazon and Replaced the device.

BUT, the Second device they sent to me, has the SAME problem:crying:!!!!!!!!!!

This situation very very confuse me. I just wonder is there any fellows have the same problem with me ? And what should I do?

MY device: Fire HDX 8.9, 8.9" HDX Display, Wi-Fi, 64 GB - Includes Special Offers.

(I'm a new international student here, so please forgive me about the bad language.:))

OK I messed up and posted in the general forum as opposed to the Q&A forum. However, why have I been ignored??? Some of us only post when we have problems! Would be nice if all you experts would help and guide us through our **** ups!

First flash something went wrong. topic

Thanks for taking the time to read and hopefully help me out.

First off I was rooted stock and updated to NF9 and have TWRP installed. This morning I went to flash my first rom on this device, effortless ROM. It did jot flash, it said that the zip couldn't be opened. So I downloaded dompop on my PC and transfered to my SD card. Dompop installed fine, but after waiting 30+ minutes to boot up I pulled the battery and reflashed. Same result. So now I am trying to restore my back up I made last night and it seems to be stuck at restoring modem (64%). Its been stuck here for 30 minutes. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi! I have problem

I flashed official LOLLIPOP for N9005 from Poland and everything went okay.
Then I stupidly tried to install TWRP via Odin and it seemed it caused an issue. It must have been wrong TWRP.

Now everytime I want to turn on, the message "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again"

I tried to flash once again LOLLIPOP ROM but there is an error:

<ID:0/004> There is no PIT partition.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)

Any idea what can I do?

[Q] time label wrong in Lollipop Google Calendar day view topic

In my lollipop phone, (Alliance ROM on Galaxy s5) the day view of the Google calendar app shows the wrong time... all the times are half an hour too early. Example: the label next to the line which is 10:00am shows 09:30,
the 11:00 line shows 10:30.
Which is a bit confusing.

CM12 Nightly - wrong carrier name topic

All,

I have searched everywhere with all sort of keywords and Boolean but just cant seem to find any thread or response related to the issue I am facing.

I was traveling with my Tmo S4 running the 2/3 Nightly, when I went roaming and the carrier changed to ATT.

Now I am back at home, and the phone is just stuck on ATT as the carrier name. Everywhere, where it would say Carrier Name, it says ATT. I checked the APN and it is connected to fast.tmo APN. I also tried changing other settings hoping it would change but no luck. I have used up over 1 GB of data since returning back on Thursday, and if it was truly on ATT, I would not be getting LTE signal with the same download speeds and should have hit the Roaming allowance.

I even went to 2/8 Nightly, but still no go.

Any thoughts? Would appreciate it, considering that I have a passion for hating ATT, and having its name on my phone, makes me want to throw it away.

Wrong android status? topic

Recently I tried to update my rooted phone using the safestrap method http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-...-2015-t3021120 however I didn't read all the instructions and ended up having to reflash back to stock http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2714455 and got the black screen. I tried reflashing stock multiple times and nothing.
fast forward with some help I got my phone working again.

Ok now for the new problem.
I originally got the phone to work after flashing G900A_OA1_Stock_Kernel
The phone only seems to work if I flash this file. None others. Not even the NCE firmware.
Also I keep getting a notification stating "Unauthorized actions have been detected. Restart your phone to undo any unauthorized changes." I've restarted a couple times but doesn't seem to do anything.
also I noticed in my about device: the baseband version is NCE, The build number is also NCE, but the SE for Android status shows enforcing 4.4.4.

I've been searching around and it doesn't seem like anyone else has had this problem. Any help would be much appreciated.

Wrong imei and no service topic

I have a wrong imei number on my samsung galaxy s3,
I know my imei number and i don't know how to change it.
I see my providers and if i select one, and than i want to call someone than it says:
not registred to a network or no service.
