[Q] Lost Software in Rooted Mobile.. topic

Dear Developer,
i have Huawei G6 L11 Lte. My Mobile was Rooted and Operating well last day i install a App Pro-Rom-Tolbox app for fromt changing when i opn it and download front for changing it requested to reboot i did it but whn it happens, the mobile never come in operating state . found blank screen everytime time when i started it the conpany logo i found after that screen going to balnk and battery getting heating up until last charge of mobile. i also hardrest the mobile too but any gain.
please help me out from this...

I just got my galaxy mega and I can't stop thinking how much better of an experience it would be to have Note software (if the software is actually different and not just apps you can download).
I bet I'm not the first to think this.. so if any resources/forum links will be greatly appreciated.
Also would that be possible on a custom 5.0 Lollipop rom?

Software upgrade via PC SUITE topic

My device arrived with FW version V20H.
When I connect to PC SUITE it says an upgrade is available to version V20C.
How is that possible ?

Hello folks,

My mothership made a suicide attempt (sudden bootloop) and showed some strange behaviour recently. It was solved sort of with a reset, but since the problem could not be replicated I figured it must have been a software fault after one of the many little updates Sony has pushed out recently gearing up for the Lollipop.
So I decided to do a software repair. So far so good, but for some strange reason I am stuck on an older version of What's New. Could this possibly be a server issue with Android 5.0 on the way?

Also, is there a good way to check for hardware problems? I am going to run some benchmarks but any input would be appreciated.
(I am on stock, unrooted btw)

I get to unlock the bootloader of my kindle hdx 8.9

Prerequisite: 1[34].3.1.0 < x < 1[34].3.2.4 (as it use the rsa bug)
Rooted kindle

cat /sys/block/mmcblk0/device/manfid
cat /sys/block/mmcblk0/device/serial

create a file unlock.img with following content:
0xmmssssssss
where mm=manfid and ss=serial

encrypt it with my vortox fork of signing tool at

connect the hdx to a linux box and do following command:

Tethering on At&t Stock 4.4.2 Software Version D85010f topic

Is there a way to get tethering to work without using something like FoxFi?

I tried the method posted here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g...-d850-t2814367 but I have a different settings.db file with no tether_entitlement_check_state.
The same was true when I tried on version D85010d.

[Q] Who can success Software update(OTA) from oversea(not in US)? topic

Last time When I went to USA for business trip, I Bought ATT G2 (D800) model.
Now i'm living on South korea.

Currently my ATT G2 have v20c version and I want to upgrade for v20y without rooting.

Because all of korean Banking and credit card app run threaten scan and if rooting related files found on phone, it won't run by security problem.

But, When I tried software update every time, it just loop "Not yet registered" popup occur and I won't 20y update from ATT FOTA server.

And I also doesn't have ATT or ATT Go phone sim. If I get or borrow ATT SIM and connect on Wifi, Can I get a 20y OTA from oeversea?

Exactly, Am i need a ATT SIM or Go Phone SIM for successfully get a OTA file ? also that ATT sim must be activated on ATT account ?
I think some of my colleagues have a deactivated ATT go phone sim. But i'm worry that this deactivated sim also can get a OTA from ATT FOTA server.

I need a brothers opinion or success story who can success got a OTA from oversea and not ATT(like T-mobile or H2o or Straghit talk... ) environment.

Now I really don't know what that means. Some suggested to check if it's rooted, installed root checker and it said "device is not rooted" .
Can anyone pLease help me And explain me what all this means as it will be greatly appreciated.I only want to have OTA updates And need stock android. White noise problem from to speaker to be fixed by software? topic

Hi guys,

i got my third device yesterday. Overall quality is nice, but i encountered the white noise from top speaker (like on my second one). I chattet with a guy from Motorola support team and asked directly, if Motorla is aware of this bug. And to my surprise he answered, that they are aware of it and that the technicians said, that it is a software bug that can be solved!! The same speaker were built in in the X2, and there is no known problem with "white noise".

So guys, what do you think?

Software update 10r? topic

So after taking a OTA that went out a couple weeks ago in hopes in was lollipop I found myself without root... PurpleDrake doesn't work, stump doesnt work... PurpleDrake says I have root but thats clearly not the case because after I reboot it there is not root. I checked and the software version is 10r. Has anyone else gotten root to work on 10r? They also decided to disable download mode because I have tired at least 20 times and all I ever get is the charging animation. Is anyone else even on 10r? I really just want to smash this phone with a hammer now because I have tried everything.
