Still Encrypted after Rooting? topic

So I lasted about 3 days before I had to root my N6. So I did, using Wugs toolkit. After rooting and going through the process, my phone still said it was encrypted and I still had to enter the pattern to turn my phone on.

However, after installing TWRP recovery and manager, my phone says it's still encrypted, but I no longer have to enter my pattern to turn on my phone.

Is this normal? Is my phone still encrypted?

I know most people want to get rid of encryption, but I like having it and need it. Is there a way to make the pattern required to boot up?

With the phone now out for some time, I wanted to see what the overall atmosphere for the phone was.

How does everyone like the phone? Specifically the US T-Mobile variant (D6616). I'm reading nothing but complaints about battery not lasting as long as it should/used to, WiFi issues, issues running LTE and so on. Are these the outliers or are they the common case?

With rumors of the Z4 growing (and all other competition as well), I've been wanting to upgrade from my Nexus 5 (with HORRIBLE battery life) for some time now. I've had my eye on the Z3 because of its purported insanely long battery, great display, great audio, great camera. Again, is this all really the case?

Also, with a hopeful Lollipop build releasing from Sony direct, I just wanted to verify that a user could technically flash the image directly to the phone and only risk losing T-Mobile's WiFi calling ability?

[Q] CM 12 Nightly (5.0.2 Lolipop) - SD card issues still present topic

Hi,
I've updated to CM 12 Nightly ROMs (currently 12-20150216-NIGHTLY-a5), with a clean install, to get away from the restrictions on SD cards in 4.4.4.
Although I do seem to have SOME access to my card at seemingly random times, I mostly do not. I've seen nightlys which stated they've fixed SD card issues and have updated to them, and for the past couple of weeks, I've been updating multiple times a week. But at present, I cannot even move what seems to be less that 2MB in most cases to the SD card, even with a root-enabled file manager (Yes I am rooted). Do I still have to edit user rights for my owner account?
I've gone into my app preferences and chose the SD card as my preferred install location as well, but it seems that this option will only install to the emulated/sdcard0 directory. I get the same result if I use the app manager and choose "Move to SD Card".

I constantly have to purge info from my internal memory just to even be able to update apps. I have about 54GB free on my SD card according to my phone. the 10 or so gigabytes used are from a manual backup that I had performed before flashing, using my PC only.

Could anyone please help me with this?

so on my S4 i have blocked numbers,people text me that i dont want to talk to soo i block them (add to spam numbers (on galaxy)
so i got a text from one of these blocked numbers and it still popped up on my moto 360
i do have wear messenger,idk if thats the reason why or what

I had an S5 but it ran so damn horrible with TW and Lollipop I got rid of it, at the moment I am using an old Windows Phone but really want back to android. I know a guy selling a new N4 for £120 which I am really tempted by. I am not into gaming or fancy photos etc, just some music, emails, browsing and social networking. I've narrowed it down to this N4 or a Moto G, any thoughts? The N4 seems the better device all be it a bit old now.

Sorry that I haven't been keeping up with the latest developments in bootloader unlocks, roots, recoveries, etc.

I'm on stock rooted deodexed 4.1.2 with unlocked bootloader and a probably now ancient TWRP. What is the best way for me to get to stock rooted deodexed 4.4.2? I don't see any guides for this sort of thing here. Thanks in advance.

3Gb RAM, Octa-cores, android 5.0, and still no true multitasking topic

So we have devices with 3gb of ram (soon even 4), multi-core processors with over 9000 GHz, Android has hit version 5.0, but...... we still can not have TRUE multitasking. Most of the apps will just freeze if putted into background, and the so called "multitasking view" is nothing but a history of all the apps we have opened.
Coming from Symbian, which can do perfectly working true multitasking on just 256mb of ram, I find it...... kinda funny.
What do you guys think?

Now I really don't know what that means. Some suggested to check if it's rooted, installed root checker and it said "device is not rooted" .

Device is Ativ-S i8750 bought through Handtec. Operating on GiffGaff UK PAYG.

I've searched around and found a little info about the problems with my camera since installing the 8.1 update through developer preview. Apparently it's fixed in firmware update 2424.14.9.3 which came out around October last year.

While my phone has picked up OS update, I don't seem to have picked up any firmware updates four months down the line.

I've have searched to find out what to do next but I am a bit stuck and unsure what to do next. So hope this community can help. Is there anything I should be doing to get this update other than just waiting?

I know its another one of those threads but I got stuck on something.
So I wanted to put CWM (which failed btw) on my CM11 nightly but after I did that I got stuck in a boot loot on the cyanogenmod icon. I searched a long time for a solution but still havent found any
- tried to root stock rom through Odin, nothing happened
- tried to use CM Installer app from the PC connected with a USB in recovery mode, the app itself crashes on Windows
- tried to flash a custom rom using both SD card AND ADB, I keep getting an error about signature verification failed
- yes I did wipe all my data, multiple times

any suggestions?
