I have m7, rooted, s-on, bootloader unlocked, with insertcoin 4.4 KitKat installed.

When I am installing a stock recovery and flash a stock ROM, can I get the Original OTA Lollipop Update from HTC including
the latest firmware 7.1.... :confused:?

[Q] E7 headphones not detected post upgrading to Kitkat topic

I have upgraded my E7 earlier today and in the process device got rebooted and I had the message "headphones disconnected" initially..which I was ignored and continued with further device setup..

Everything seems to be working fine. .later after sometime I have plugged in headphones I didn't notice the notification bar I didn't find the headphones icon.. I started playing music..speakers started sounding than headphones. I have rebooted the device couple of times and also restore factory settings with no success.. Please help

hello. recently update my I747 from NE4 to nj1 rooted and is giving me the following problem. I can not download pictures from facebook or whatsapp. tells me error in saving the photo. Any idea what is happening? I gave factory reset and nothing to do with the solution

[Q] Phone stuck in boot loop after upgrading to Lollipop, Help topic

Dear All,

I'm in need of some urgent help. I have a S4 GT-I9500 which was running Kitkat stock 4.4.2 unrooted. I noticed the Lollipop update available OTA and so I downloaded and applied it. The installation went ok but after that the phone has just not worked. It comes to the homescreen, there comes an error stating that "An application needs and update" and below that "Requested by Google Play services". The homescreen appears on the screen for less than 5 seconds and it reboots. This goes on and on making the device really hot. There was a massive battery drain as well (from 90% to 30% within 30 mins)

Now the worst part is I hadn't even backed up any of my data. Although my photos are on my external SD, contacts are synced to google but there are some application specific data (whatsapp, few games progress, etc) that I would like to save.

Please help me out. At this point, I dont even care about the lollipop as long as I can get my phone back. I'm also open to rooting it, as my warranty period is over.

Hopefully someone can help me here since this is the question and answer thread. The Verizon General OTA thread was not very helpful or nice in answering my questions. I have my phone rooted with the 12B software. I downloaded the OTA file that I needed and made a folder in my phone under software and everything else that I needed to do but now I am very stuck on the terminal part. I have superuser and granted terminal root access but everytime that I do the script it just tells me : error: device not found. I have no idea what is going on and I wish someone would have a guide to help with this or someone tell me what I am doing wrong or something. I need some help please, and please don't be a jerk about it either. I am just not familiar with terminal.

Upgrading firmware from NC5? Odin? topic

Currently I am rooted on NC5 Galaxy s5 MOAR port. I am having data signal issues and I have read by updating my firmware to NH7 or NK4 I may see a improvement. If I want to upgrade do I need to Odin both times for NH7 & NK4 or can I jump immediately to NK4 from NC5?

[LG G PRO 2- D838] Serious connevtivity issues after upgrading to loolipop and back topic

Hello Guys,

I'm deeply frustrated with this issue. I have a LG G PRO 2(LGD838) bought in HongKong a couple of weeks ago.
I recently upgraded, manually, to version 5.0.1 from KK and ever since, the internet connectivity has major issues.
Internet works often, even when it does, it works SO slow!

I flashed back to stock KK - v4.4.2 by using this .kdz file - D83810D_00.kdz
but problem remains!

[Q]Lumia 920 (RM-821) Crashing after upgrading to WP 8.1 topic

I've recently upgraded my Lumia 920 to Windows Phone 8.1. Everything worked nicely but for one thing, when I click in text input(i.e URL bar in browser) It freezes then reboots. I checked if it happened in other places and it crashed when I try to enter my email in any field in any app(i.e Facebook , Microsoft account, Google account), but it didn't crash in search fields or when I tested it on registering fields.
I tried downgrading it, and my attempts were futile. Please help me in trying to fix this problem or at least help me downgrade it to WP 8.0

Hi guys.

I really trust xda forums and that's why I come here whenever I need help. You ashtrays save the day guys and I want to thank you for that.

So a while ago I've unlocked the boot loader, flashed cwm recovery via fast boot and rooted my device. I'm still on a stock Rom though.

Now I want to upgrade to lollipop manually, my plan is to download the official Rom from HTC's website connect my device to the pc with a usb cable then install it on my phone.. From what I understand I should flash back the stock recovery then relock the boot loader and restore the contents of a folder (i don't remember what folder though). Where can I find the stock Rom img file I should flash? (And the folder contents that i'm supposed to restore) also if I relock the boot loader will the upgrade proceed if it still shows "tampered"?

Please guys help what am I supposed to do before upgrading??

Long time lurker, have been meaning to get rid of my 2.2 Android for years, and finally took the plunge yesterday(read as about 8 hours ago).
I read http://forum.xda-developers.com/ideo...-12-0-t2989575 (hey if you're going to install another version it might as well be the newest) and worked my way backwards.
I realized that i needed to
1)Install the official 2.3.5 version from Huawei to get 404020 baseband
2)Use SuperOneClick to root it.
3)Install Clockwork Mod recovery
4)Reclaim my Pink Screen by flashing B-518 bootloader
5)Replace CWM with TWRP Recovery which is LVM compatible
6)replace that with BlePart LVM
7)Install CyanogenMod 5

I managed to locate the 2.3.5 update after some searching and install it. I had some trouble getting SuperOneClick to root my phone, because of incorrectly installed drivers, but got through that.
Installed CWM and B518 bootloader and finally replaced CWM with TWRP. Took a backup on the SD of 2.3.5
I then tried to install BlePart and ever since the phone is stuck on the Huawei logo. I can reboot and get access to TWRP, and the Pink screen, giving me access to a 300MB filesystem which contains the cust_data folder.
Since I had access to TWRP i tried flashing CM but to no avail. I also tried to restore my 2.3.5 backup but also nothing. It seems to be going fine but then it will again freeze on the logo.

Please help me. I have spent over 8 hours on and off at this, and it's 5 am now!

I was rooting my girlfriend's phone, which is a Galaxy S4, TMobile. I rooted it from stock (4.3 or 4.4) using the chainfire method, then installed TWRP through their android app. First, it went through the [android is upgrading] and then it went back to the CM boot screen. Now I've spent a good 15 minutes watching it and it is still looping.

Can anyone guide me to a troubleshoot, or can anyone help walk me through trying to solve this problem?

I'm new here so I apologize in advance if I'm not doing smoething right.
So right now here's the information for the phone I have:
HTC One M8, KitKat 4.4.4, Paranoid 4.4.5, I've obviously rooted and my custom recovery thing is CLockwork. and I don't know what else to put. I've already tried locating APN, ,but nothing pops up and I can't create a new APN reference since my SIM card isn't somehow in the device (even though it physically is).
I don't know if there's a general ROM section in this forum, but basically for any custom ROM I've tried to flash, my SIM card can't be read and as a result I can't activate my mobile 4G LTE. I read somewhere on this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2338491 that I have to upgrade my radio or something, but I also have a chance of bricking my phone. What version do I need to upgrade to in order to fit with any custom ROM I flash? Or just ParanoidAndroid 4.4.5.
