[Q] Hardware home button does not work on first press (for screen shut down) topic

I am currently running the CM12 nightlies, stock kernel. I don't know for sure when this started but it has been this way for a few months.
I have long press home (hardware button) set to turn off the screen. It only works however, after I have tapped it once since it woke the last time.

Most of the other long press actions seem to work ok with the home button.

I read about some issue with the home button and how it was waiting for a double tap, so the single tap didn't seem to work, but that does not seem to be the issue, as the fix for that (turning off the double tap function) does not fix my issue.

I have only read of two other people with this same issue, but no solutions.

Why can I scroll up and down on a certain website in firefox and not other browsers? topic

So my work updated their system and now the website I have to use everyday doesn't work on any browser except firefox. In firefox I can scroll up and down but in all other browsers I can't. I've tried all of them from stock to chrome to dolphin to boat, etc.

I really don't like firefox as it is slow and laggy for me. Why is it that it works in firefox and not others.

I think the site is Javascript but I'm not sure as I'm not that technically inclined with that stuff.

We have a front sensor that shuts off the screen when you bring phone up to the ear during a call, so there should be a way to make that sensor do other things like pause a video. Right? :confused:

Volume Down Rocker Not Working topic

Hey guys, I'm a long term lurker to XDA's Forums, but had to make a new account and share a problem I'm having..
Long story short: My rooted Nexus 6's 'volume down' stopped working.

I've only had the phone for about 6 days now, so I've begun making contact with Google in hopes i can just send it back... But it's bothering me enough (worried about warranty) that i thought I'd ping this community too about the scenario.

I'm quite certain it's not a software issue because (sadly) the volume-down button doesn't work at boot either (preventing me from getting in the recovery mode).

As per what I've done:
I'm still using the stock firmware.. I've unlocked and rooted it (as you know already), and just installed (and configured) Greenify, Light Flow and Titanium Backup. I did not freeze or uninstall any apps; i just backed a few up that have complicated configurations. I even got the paid versions of them all to help support the work of the developers (not that it matters). I have not installed Xposed (alpha) or any custom recovery tool (CWF or TRWP) at this point.

Today i installed BusyBox Pro too but never did anything further. I can't be sure when the actual (down volume part of the) rocker stopped working because i never really paid much detail to this until it became evident today, I know i needed it to unlock the phone 4 days when i first went through with the process so it stopped working somewhere between then and now..

Suggestions or Advice?

[Q] Screen shuts off automatically when taking selfie facing down topic

I have no idea why but I seem to have problems on my Z3 nobody else has, it's weird. But anyway. This happens everytime and it does happen whenever the front facing camera starts, regardless of the app including the stock camera app. Whenever I try to take pictures with the front-facing camera in bed (with my phone facing down) the screen shuts itself a few seconds after the camera starts.

My phone is totally stock, has Apex Launcher installed. I don't know if that'll help find out the issue. Thank you for helping this noob. :(

so I bricked my phone and I still have access to cwm recovery but when trying to install zip from sdcard restore backup from sdcard my phone shuts down and reboots! and mount usb doesn't work either! in fact everything related to /sdcard/ causes the phone to reboot!
I need to pull some data from the phone.

So my friend was on facebook when his M8 CDMA running Viper rom randomly shut down and would not power on. He said he tried a hard reset and still nothing. when plugged in to power it does not show an LED light. Anyone hear about this before or have a solution to try?

Z3 Compact shuts down frequently! topic

My Xperia Z3 compact is shutting down while being idle. In happened 5 times in the last 24 hours. My device isn't rooted and I haven't installed any such application which can take the control of my device. So, please help me if you guys know a solution to this problem. :crying:
