Is there one we can use with our device that's more preferred over the other by most users or are we out of luck cause of our kernel?

Hi! I just bought an external 3.5mm ear jack universal IR remote control for android but I'm not sure how to make it works. When I'm using any IR universal remote apps, it says my phone does not support IR function. Can anyone tell me why or how to use it? I really appreciate your help. If you're not sure how it look, you can view the picture at the attachments.

[Q] Setting Volume Control topic
Hey guys,
i was looking for this, but found no matches yet. Hope its not a double, but i definitively need ya help.
I bought myself a Gigaset QV 1030 tablet, with Android 4.2* on it.
I enjoy this tablet in almost every situation with only one exception: The volume is too loud.
There are many apps out here for volume control. But since most of them just work in greater steps like 10%, 20%.. I'd like to set the Volume Control myself, either in shell, or as app.
But does anyone of you know the command therefor?
PS: Im still looking for somewhat like an API-Catalog for Android, is there such thing?
PPS: This is a repost of the original one. Just located former post in the wrong section. I Hope I am right here ;)
Thanks already for any help.
Best Regards
Jan

Trimmer allows you to trim your device NAND chip manually, which may improve your device storage speed significantly.
it supports lollipop as well and I am going to add more features to this app in future so stay tuned ;)
In order to use this app your device should be rooted and your device NAND chip should support TRIM command.
Let me know what you think and send me your suggestions for next update.

Quote:
Here is a short explanation about what this app does : Almost all Android devices use NAND chips for data storage. Because of how NAND chips work, they may become significantly slow after some time. Trimming would help to restore NAND Chips performance to their initial value. Although Android 4.3+ supports trim natively, users have no control over this process and Android doesnt trim the storage as much as it is supposed to do, which results in slow storage performance and thus laggy devies. Trimmer enables you to trim your device manually if you feel it has become laggy. Trimmer incorporates a well-known fstrim utility which is a part of Linux kernel tools. This utility trims memory devices which support TRIM operation. |
