HI GUYS

I'm really getting mad with my z1. I replaced my broken lcd and the serviceman used a lcd with lower build quality.
the lcd itself doesnt have any problem but the sensors go crazy and stop working after a while.
dont know what happens that they do so but mostly happens when i get a call or its on dock charger
the accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, ambient light, compass & etc. .they stop working and its very nerving thing
any way to fix this guys?! please help :(:(

Weird App Notification Problems anyone? topic

So am I the only person experiencing that most of my game apps arnt sending me push notifications such as CoC, Boom Beach, Fun Run 2, and etc. I'm not getting any notifications even though in settings, apps manager, all my apps have the check in the show notification box but I still don't receive any. In all such apps I have settings in the app to send me notifications yet still nothing comes through. I'm running on the 12b update. I'm just curious if anyone else is experiencing this weird thing or if someone could help me fix this

[Q] Battery Problems? topic

Hi all. I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 (I-747) running the latest d2lte nightly build of CM11. What brings me here today is very bad battery problems. These have burdend me since I got the phone (before I installed CM11.) I would like to know what could pottentally be causing the problem. I have tried many things to fix such as turning off all not needed features, greenify certain apps, enabling android runtime(ART), going to privacy advisior and turning off all keep awake settings for my apps, and turning off sync settings. Here is a 50 minute test showing you all the battery drain(to me) of my phone with little to moderate usage. All help is appciated thanks!

[Q] Problems with SunShine: what stock kernel to flash? topic

Hello,

I wanted to S-OFF my HTC One M7 and it looks like my last hope is use SunShine in the end.
Since I receive the following message when SunShine runs on my phone, I would like to receive some help to figure out what is the stock kernel I have to flash in order to run SunShine.

At the moment I use Elemental X kernel, as shown in the signature below, but I have not been able to find a kernel to meet the requirements. By the way, I have a rooted and unlocked phone, and I wouldn't like to come back to stock if possible.

Dear all,

I used to live in Canada and I had Bell Mobility as carrier. I bought my HTC One M8 from them, when I was in Canada I rooted my phone.
I'm in Lebanon now and I asked them for the unlock code and they gave it to me. So my phone is working fine with my carrier.
Now, here's my problem, I can't update my phone, I'm stuck with android 4.4.3 i cant OTA it just takes me to philz touch and restores to 4.4.3.
I tried downloading a RUU from htc dev and that didn't work either. I've been searching for a solution for 2 months now and I can't seem to find anything that helps.
I really want to update to android lollipop :(

Galaxy S4 I9500 root problems. topic

Hello every one.

I have a problem with my Galaxy S4 I9500.
iv trued to root it already 5 times.
the odin is completing the process with secsess. but i still dont have a root. and cant install the SuperSU.

in the recovery i have an error.

please help. because i need to root the phone to install the custom rom. because my phone is randomly dropping the network. i think its software problem. becasue when im restarting the phone its working without a problem for aboute 15-20minutes and starting to decrease the network reception untill the no network sign appears!

[Q] Problems with USB OTG topic

Hello. My phone is Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo (GT-I9301I) with custom ROM installed on it (CyanogenMod 12). today I bought and USB OTG cable (Y type). I connected it to the power source, then plug the usb stick to the port and then I inserted the micro usb plug in my phone. And. nothing happend (no notification on the status bar). Any ideas how to fix this?

[Q] NFC problems in CM12-based mods with kltexx/g900f topic

Hi,

the mod threads for the various cm12 builds claim that NFC is working, and there are also several user replies with reports that it works fine. Yet it doesn't work for me, and at least some others: The device reports that NFC is working, I can activate and deactivate it, but neither Beam nor reading NFC tags works. The funny thing is that after flashing cm12, restoring an old cm11 nandroid backup does not restore NFC functionality. It doesn't matter if I do a clean install/full wipe. With Lollipop TW roms (I've tried XtreStoLite), NFC works fine. I have the ANK1 modem and ANK7 bootloader installed.

Things I've tried so far:

• Using Samsung's nfc libs from XtreStoLite (They don't work; the NFC app just keeps crashing, probably because they require a tw kernel)


• Using the g900i NFC fix (I don't know how to check which NFC chip is installed and thought that maybe they use different ones among different g900f devices)


• Manually updating the NFC configuration files (because I've noticed that despite running the latest nightly at that time, the files in /etc/libnfc* did not include the commit that updated them for Lollipop. This, however, does not seem to be the case with current nightlies anymore.)


• Using different kernels


• Using Temasek's hlte-based CM12 build and the unofficial builds from cm's repo that are posted in the unified forum

There's nothing interesting in dmesg, as far as I can see.

Has anyone solved this problem, or another idea how this could be solved? Also, if others here are affected as well, maybe we can pinpoint why some of us are affected and others aren't.

[Q] Tegra3 camera hal problems topic

I'm trying to compile Android 4.2.2 for the Lenovo A2109A. AOSP 4.1.2 mostly worked out fine, except that panorama mode for the camera didn't work. In AOSP 4.2.2 the camera HAL didn't seem to connect to the camera, so I switched to CM-10.1. Camera HAL loads fine, but it doesn't take pictures. The problem seems to be that the stock camera HAL is linked to a version of libjpeg with proprietary additions from nvidia and I can't figure out what they are. Someone else was able to successfully compile CM-10.1 with a working camera by using libjpeg-turbo for compilation (see here), but it also needs a patch for skia that I can't find.

So right now I'm basically stuck and I'm looking for different ways forward. I could really use your advice. Should it be possible to use the camera hal from a related device instead? I know that the nexus 7 is also a tegra3 device, and very close to A2109. It does use different camera devices, but these can be configured in nvcamera.conf. I used strings to find whether any proprietary lib referenced the specific cameras and I found only one, libnvodm_imager.so. The most important appear to be in the kernel source, in the following files:

drivers/media/video/tegra/tegra_dtv.c

My question--to what extent should it be possible to just use the grouper tegra camera files for the kernel and then use the grouper camera HAL? Or do you have a different suggestion for me to proceed? I'm asking because I can hardly code. I am, however, getting better and better with git and patches, and I did manage to fix two compile issues in the lenovo kernel source.

Android Wear new version Feb 26th, with it new problems topic

I am getting tired of starting posts with the new problems each version of firmware etc brings but here it goes anyway.

I received an update to Android Wear on my phone(2014 Moto X) Feb 26 which also updated the Android Wear on my Moto 360. Notifications have been working since however my watch has clearly been losing connection to my phone as my Smart Lock/trusted device feature has failed to operate three times so far. Instead of the phone auto unlocking I have had to put my pin in. The watch and phone have never been more then 4 or 5 feet apart. This very very rarely occurred with previous versions.

Sigh, why does each version get worse, and does google test this stuff at all???

"Internal/external" storage problems topic

Hi all, I'm a newbie here...I have a rooted nexus tab 4.4.2 and I've recently lost my SD card... So I was wondering if there is a way to configure apps to use my "external" storage (this is what my tab recognizes as what I would call internal storage) or maybe mount this storage as an SD???
I think that since I'm rooted and pretty much have unrestricted access to everything on my device, there should be a config file somewhere that directs applications to write data to a certain folder, and I would be able to modify it?

I tried downloading the USIM TOOLKIT but most that I find and download are not compatible with this phone. and he did the hard resert, has been restored factory several times, has installed new in 2.3 and 3.0 again and the result is the same, in other words I need or I urge the two SIM that came out earlier in 2nd orange and blue for this honor can finally grab back G or 3G or 4G.
NEED the widest possible collaboration, forums, app that can help me with the issue. hope your answers, while still from forum to forum until we finally found.

Hello guys, in first place good forum :). Keep up the good work. Now my question. Since 2 weeks ago my cellphone Sony Xperia Neo V MT11i was experiment some problems with the battery. Some days later the battery just dead but this is the weird part: the battery inflated. Well, np I just bought another battery. 5 days ago, the same problem... Now im using a new battery for third time and its working but with problems like "slow interface", "graphics problems", "random disconnections" and I worried about it. Today I checked the battery and it's starting to inflating...

So, guys, please can somebody help me, what is the problem? I read in other forums about the board, but i'm not sure. What you think is the cause and where can I buy that replacement?

[Q] Help with rooting, custom room and problems topic

Hi guys, new member so play nice ;)

Just pulled my HDX 7 from out of a drawer and thought I could use it for music in my car.
Haven't used it once March of 2014 and it's stuck on software version 13.3.2.2... I remember using a tool to block OTA updates, and whenever I try to check for an update it says 'last update failed'.

Did a factory reset on the device in the hope it'd sort that out, but no avail. What I have now is when I go to set up the device after the reset, it won't come off the language selection screen. I choose a language, press okay, and it just bounces back. Rebooting does nothing. Managed to ninja tap into settings, update still doesn't work, and same problem after another reset.

Can you guys just point me in the right direction in terms of sorting out these problems, and then what I need to do to root, get recovery and install a custom rom (possibly cyanogenmod but I'm unsure if there's a supported build)

[Q] Unlock to see sensitive. Lollipop problems... topic

AT&T LG G3, love the phone. I'm down for the lollipop update, but I can't seem to remedy one new Lollipop problem.

At various times, i haven't figured out exactly what causes it, but when i drag down my notification bar, during just normal use of my phone, I can see various notifications from applications, but NO DETAILS, only a line saying "Unlock to see sensitive". Of course my phone is unlocked as I AM USING IT!! I tried going into settings/sound/notifications/turning SHOW ALL NOTIFICATIONS on, and then you can go into apps individually to set notification preferences, but nowhere does it say anything about setting sensitivity for individual apps. This seems to be a bug. I've dug through all the possible settings.

One example that has happened to me many times is i'll be on the phone talking, i hear a notification tone, put on speaker phone and drag down my notifications to see what it is, and i only see the app icon, with "Unlock to see sensitive". Then if i press the notification it brings up the application no problem, but that is a pain and i didnt want to open the app, just see the notification. This is sure frustrating. :eek:

64gb micro SD problems topic

I'm running Jasminerom 4.0 and I cannot get 64gb micro sd cards to work properly on my VS985. If I format via settings, it defaults to exfat. Performance suffers and I seem to get random corruption of files. I've tried formatting to fat32 via TWRP and via Windows. Performance is better for a bit, but in time the phone starts not writing to the card for some reason. I've tried 2 different cards, Samsung evo and SanDisk ultra. I'm currently using a 32gb SanDisk ultra which works as it should.

Any others have this problem with 64gb cards?

DPI change: problems with Google Keyboard and Play Store topic

I am trying to change DPI but for each value I get two displaying problems (see attached screnshots):

1. In play store some icons are pretty big and screw layout
2. In google keyboard the three dots on the middle suggested word are too big and overlap the suggested word
