Weird App Notification Problems anyone? topic

So am I the only person experiencing that most of my game apps arnt sending me push notifications such as CoC, Boom Beach, Fun Run 2, and etc. I'm not getting any notifications even though in settings, apps manager, all my apps have the check in the show notification box but I still don't receive any. In all such apps I have settings in the app to send me notifications yet still nothing comes through. I'm running on the 12b update. I'm just curious if anyone else is experiencing this weird thing or if someone could help me fix this

Kitkat style Pulldown Notification Drawers on Lollipop topic

Hello All,
Lollipop is up and running on many (almost All) devices now.
But Kitkat has its own charm.
I for myself love the Kitkat notification drawers, the two side pulldown wnere you could customise and add widgets to the left pulldown also unlike Lollipop where only the right side , GENERALLY, holds the widgets..
Also I loves the Kitkat navibar icons and despise the geometric shapes of the Lollipop nav bar.

Those are just my personal opinions, I know everybody loves Lollipop.

I know there are ways to activate and get the Lollipop Navibar and also the Notification style on Kitkat, BUT IS THERE ANY OPTION TO GET IT THE OTHER WAY AROUND???

is there any option or a flashable file for me to enable the notification style of kitkat on lollipop, I mean the pulldown bars only not the complete notifiers..

I know that themes can edit the nav bars to my liking, but is there any file for just that.

Sorry for my impatience and ignorance, but I have searched and found nothing for the solution...

i don't receve notifications from instagram at all and from facebook just once in a while. i don't know why because i've cheked account and general settings they are on. but i still don't receive all of them when i don't touch my phone. any idea how to fix this?

Cannot pick up calls on Lollipop with pop up notification. topic

So I am using Moto X 2014 with came with Lollipop itself. Didn't update it to it.


So anyways, when I get a call while in some app I get the call notification at the top and two buttons, answer and dismiss.

However, when I tap those two buttons nothing happens, I am unable to receive or dismiss that call.
Only way to do it is to swipe the notification to dismiss it, pull down the status bar and then pick it up.


Does anyone have any solution for this?

OTA Lollipop breaks notification sound topic

Updated my T-mobile Galaxy S5 to Lollipop yesterday and now notification sound is stuck on default whistle sound, ignoring my custom sound even though it's the one selected as default notification sound. It worked fine before the update, and my custom ringtone works after the update. I attempted clearing cache settings in Storage and rebooting, but that has not worked.

System Update Downloaded notification won't go away. topic

Does anyone know how to remove the SYSTEM UPDATE DOWNLOADED notification? I got my LG G3 a week ago. As soon as it got activated it started downloading the OTA. The next day I disabled the OTA setting in the secret menu and deleted the downloaded file from /cache (I used solid explorer with root access and it is indeed gone after several reboots to verify). The SYSTEM UPDATED DOWNLOADED notification is still persistent. Even hitting LATER does nothing to get rid of it. Does anyone have any ideas? :(

I used purple drake to root in case it matters.

(Red,Green,Blue work fine but if I use something like yellow color look like greenish yellow; purple become blueish)

HELP WITH ROOTING N7105 - white shield with "unauthorized access..." notification topic

Hello, would appreciate help.
My n7105 is currently running android 4.3 (apparently that is the latest update as when i clicked on update it told me i am already running on the latest), the baseband version N7105TDVUEMK3, I have installed twrp 2.8, make a nandroid back up to get it ready for rooting. when i try to reboot i was ask to install SuperSu which i did. after booting the device I installed the new version of SuperSU and it asked me to remove Knox which I did. HOWEVER, I then tried to run reset Spen app I am told app fail to run the task and get the white shield with "unauthorized access..." notification telling me to "click here" I do and nothing happens.

Any suggestions on how to disable it completely? Am I missing something? I want full control.

Also, when i check to see if there is any update via OTA, it said this device is modified so can update? can you can i make the system status official so you can receive OTA updates

So, I'm having S5 - 2-3 days ago I updated from stock 4.4.2 to 5.0 - after 2 horrific days with battery life draining twice faster I decided to downgrade back to 4.4.2 - did it - all was well until I somehow downloaded the 5.0 update again and it's waiting to be installed... with that dreaded notification. Is there any way I can remove it and keep using 4.4.2?

I have huawei ascend mate 7 golden edition and i noticed something that needs attention.

When i call someone who already in a call and he is already activated call waiting i don't see a notification in screen that the person iam calling is already in a call.

And that's not a matter of network operator because i had Samsung note 2 before and was using the same sim and the outgoing call waiting notification was always appears.

[Q] Notification Issues with Cyanogenmod CM11 topic

Hi all,
I am having notification issues with Gmail and Hangouts. I cannot change the notification tone or vibration, it just stays in default. I am aware where the setting is, it just doesn't work. This problem happened in a past CM11 build, but I solved the problem using this thread. The problem is with the profiles. Under default profile, the settings work as intended. Under any other profile, the default settings over ride everything. The solution was to remove gmail and hangouts from the application groups in the profile menu. Now, however, the application groups feature was removed from CM11 and I have no way to solve the problem anymore. Please help me, and feel free to respond if you have experienced the same problem.

Has anyone been able to successfully disable the system update notification on the watch for the 5.0.2 update yet? If so, would you mind sharing your technique and what is required (root, adb, etc...) I've not yet rooted but unlocked my bootloader and have installed Arter97's 2.1 Kernel. I toyed around with the idea of trying to rename or delete the update.zip in the /cache partition, but I apparently have insufficient permissions via adb to that partition, probably due to not rooting. If I simply deleted the update.zip, I expect that it will simply download again and I'll have this same issue again right? Thanks all.

Hello Everybody,
I have a Droid RAZR XT912 and I flashed the CM12 ROM on my phone the other day. I am on PagePlus service, which doesn't allow 4G phones on it's Pay-as-you-go plans, which I am on. Also, the SIM card slot on my phone broke (The SIM card just pops out and doesn't click). I found a way to get 3G data without a SIM card in the phone, but when I install Lollipop it tells me the my phone needs a SIM card to operate and I can't text, call, or use 3G data. Is there a way to bypass this and use my phone without a SIM card on Lollipop, or am I stuck on KitKat?:confused:

I have a Dual Z3 (d6633) come from a Samsung Grand Duos which had a very useful function (which in this exceptional smartphone does not have): in case of a missed call or sms incoming unread if you move your phone without turn on the screen makes a vibration to indicate the presence of a missed call or text message.Is there a way or an app to make it?

It´s a shame that emui-launcher does not support this feature (like Samsung Touchwiz)...
