So yesterday I was messing around with my i9500 that I've upgraded to Lollipop.. due to rooting issues, I decided to downgrade back to KitKat (flashing the stock rom using Odin)

however, as I fixed all the rooting issues, I've encountered a new one - my sim card seems to be no longer functioning (even though it is inserted, the phone claims that no sim is inserted

any tips? I rely on data and phone calling as a large part of my phone ._.

Galaxy S4 I9500 root problems. topic

Hello every one.

I have a problem with my Galaxy S4 I9500.
iv trued to root it already 5 times.
the odin is completing the process with secsess. but i still dont have a root. and cant install the SuperSU.

in the recovery i have an error.

please help. because i need to root the phone to install the custom rom. because my phone is randomly dropping the network. i think its software problem. becasue when im restarting the phone its working without a problem for aboute 15-20minutes and starting to decrease the network reception untill the no network sign appears!

Galaxy s4 i9500 lollipop problem topic

Hey guys my s4 was on stock 4.2.2 jellybean firmware but when i heard that lollipop was finally available for my device it was tthen i decided to update to 5.0.1
After updating i have been facing ISSUES with my phone's sd card writing operations
I cannot copy files from pc using usb cable neither can i transfer files from pc using superbeam
No new folder can be created in sd card and and i can create folders in phone storage but it shows connection error everytime

I would be very thankful to anyone who can help me sort this problem

P.s Please try to suggest methods which dont require rooting

I updated my galaxy s4 gt-i9500 - Indian exynos version to android lollipop 5.0.1
After the update, the device is very fluidic and I never had any glitch. The update seems to be pretty stable as well. But around 2 weeks after this update I got this problem- my device got factory data reset on its own with everything erased from both internal memory and sd card as well. This happened when my device was kept on a table and when I saw it, it was turning on and then i found that startup screen that comes after the reset. After around 1 week, when I was using my phone a random message appeared on my screen saying "erasing sd card" I was pretty much sure that it was the same problem so I turned off my device, when I turned it on, everything from my sd card was erased, but nothing happened to phone memory. When I went to service centre, they were saying it could be a problem of the update. They seem to be not knowing about the problem and offered me to go back to kitkat. I dont want to go back to kitkat so my last resort was xda-developers. Please help.

S4 I9500 Constant rebooting topic

Hi,

I have my S4 I9500 since 2013, a few weeks back i updated my phone from android 4.4.2 to the Russian android 5.0.1 firmware via odin.
Everything was working fine.

Today i tried to unlock my phone and the screen got stuck and it suddenly rebooted.

Since then it's is constantly rebooting.

it is powering up without even using the power button and i cannot power it off without removing the battery
And as soon as i put the battery it gets starts again with the boot-loop.

It stops at the samsung logo

Can anyone help me?

It doesn't even let me go into recovery mode, download mode

gs4 i9500 burn-in screen problem topic

Hi everybody
I have this problem in my gs4 screen
Lines that mostly seen when when the screen is grey
A status bar shade mostly seen when the screen is blue
To be honest you can't see them unless you really try to but as I am using the device as my daily driver they are driving me crazy
And of course I have done some research on google and I did not find any solution I can really do
I can't replace the device under warranty and I can't replace the screen it costs almost as a new one
Is there any thing else I can do ? Any solution's , tips ? And could it get worse in the future ?

And I am running GearCM 12 if that matters and sorry for my bad English 😒

Hi All,

I am looking for an answer or a possible solution for "Why Themes are no longer working in Android L"

Details >> I've tried 2-3 Roms (Touchwiz Android L versions (leaked and official both)), There is an option for Themes and in that only 2 themes are present by default.(Basic and Natural). Now no matter what i do i can't seem to get the custom themes to work. I've tried simple installing, Going to root and adding them there and changing proper permissions or simply flashing "Launcherthemes.zip" that contains all the custom themes. But after all that is done and i reboot my phone and then go "Themes" Section, only default themes that were present at the time of the flashing of the rom is present.

Any help guys? Am i missing something ?
