[GUIDE] FIX Theme Engine Bug on N9 (Alternative Method) [SystemUI not Themed] topic

First of all, this guide uses elements of another method, originally posted on G+ and YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MW1UsCyOidY) but for some reason, on the Nexus 9, this method does not always work. The below method will work 100% of the time on the Nexus 9.
  1. Go into the Theme Engine, and apply the SYSTEM DEFAULT THEME

  2. Open Play Store, and purchase and download SQLite Editor (paid app, have not found a free version that actually works with Root access) - https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...qleditor&hl=en

  3. Open SQLite editor.

  4. In the APP list (selected by default) tap on the Settings Storage entry that says com.android.providers.settings underneath it

  5. Tap on settings.db

  6. Tap on secure

  7. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the list, and long press on themeConfig entry

  8. Tap on DELETE ENTRY

  9. Exit SQLite Editor and go into Settings

  10. Select Apps, and then All

  11. Find the Theme Engine, and tap on it

  12. Select FORCE CLOSE and then CLEAR DATA and clear the Theme Engine's data

  13. Reboot your Nexus 9

  14. Apply whatever theme you would like, and enjoy everything being themed, that was not themed before

  15. Prosper

Please let me know if this method did, or did not work for you. I have tried it on three different N9s that were all experiencing the Theme Engine bug, and it worked on all three.

Thanks for reading.

[SCREEN] Possible Galaxy S6 SystemUI (statusbar and recent) ;) topic

I'm not 100% sure, but this could be the Galaxy S6 Statusbar and Recent Menu.

1.Reorder button instead of all toggles button

2. No more all toggles page but with 2 finger you'll enter directly in Reorder toggle mode

3. Completely clear Recents menu

4. If you swipe up a "close all" button will appear.

Repeat that I'm not 100% sure that this feature will be used in S6 but pretty much confident.

How do I get this? By editing SystemUi of my Lollipop S4. (there is various "project zero" reference).

[SystemUI] Status Bar/Notification Drawer issues after modifications topic

Greetings people,

As TW Lollipop has landed, most of the devs have been trying to brew ROMs for the people, and unfortunately there is no control as what MODS should be included, i have found it terribly difficult to choose a ROM as it didnt feel normal to use mods that made no sense (or at least have a minority audience).

Particularly, what annoys me a lot, is dealing with the mods that change the visual space available, now there is no need to blame devs here at all, but rather Sammy should be here to blame for just trying to make a normal UI into a complex useless UI in to their own, and they have effed it up with the new Notifications Drawer.

While i noticed a lot of devs have found options/parameters to change the view of the notification drawer, a lot of ROMs include a very annoying feature called Quicklaunch, however im pretty sure a lot of people like it. While Quicklaunch in my personal opinion sucks, it looks way better compared to S-Finder and Quick Launch buttons. I personally lack any kind programming/scripting skills, but luckily, thanks to a nice dev called @alfaroolg with a similar taste, he brewed it for me straight away.

This is what i planned on seeing:
  • Remove S-Finder and Quick Connect

  • Remove 3minit Quicklaunch

  • Remove the Brightness Bar

Currently, im on @g00h s Note 4 Port, which makes me believe that the Brightness Bar is not removable anymore as i could not find the setting on either the Display settings or Notification Panel editor, HOWEVER, the brightness bar disappears if under 5% battery so you cant push the brightness up, and to my surprise, found out sammy screwed up adopting to the Lollipop rules.

This is how it looks without S-Finder/QuickConnect and Quicklaunch: First Pic
This is what happens with the same configuration, under 5% battery after the Brightness Bar disappears: Second Pic
And to my surprise, if there are any Notifications going on, things return well: Third Pic

Is this a general issue Sammy mustve skipped? quite an eye catcher.

[Q] CM12 Theme not applied for systemUI components topic

HI

Navigation bar, Notification drawer, Quick settings toggle wont theme
now im facing this issue 2nd time. is there any way/workaround to make it works without formatting the data partition
Had this issue few days back sorted out by clean flashing the rom.
again the issue appears. loosing the entire data partition is not a feasible method to make it work

Any help/inputs appreciated

Tried the following nothing works
  1. clearing data of theme manager and provider

  2. clearing data of systemUI

  3. Clearing data of data/system/theme

  4. Wipe cache and dalvik
