[Q] Mi2 goes into bootloop when connecting to a pc using usb cable topic

When I attach my phone to laptop with usb cable, my phone reboots and gets stuck in bootloop until I unplug the usb cable...

If anyone has any idea why, please lemme know.

it happens on win7 and 8.1 machines, don't have the resources to test it on other machines but since it reboots almost instantly I think it doesnt matter the machine I connect it to.

[Q] Using fastboot to boot directly into Recovery? topic

Hi, my device (euro 8gb dual sim, 5.0.2 ota updated) got crazy last night with lots of FC and unresponsive behaviour.
It boots into system but even screen is off most of time. I can only access power menu before FCs appear and screen goes off.

I tried to boot into recovery but it is not possible since droid on its backs never appears. (see this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto...2#post59096800)

Is there any command to launch recovery menu via fastboot?

Furthermore, since I can access fastboot menu, I saw a "Factory" option near "Recovery" option. What is it for?

Thanks!!

My phone only boots into recovery mode topic

When I boot up my phone, it only goes into recovery mode. It doesn't go to anything else even when I restart it from the recovery screen. My phone model # is SM-G900V and is the Verizon model. It happened ever since I accidentally installed a NCG kernel to Android Lollipop 5.0. Any help will be appreciated.

Can't boot into recovery mode topic

On my SM-P900 I am not able to boot into recovery mode. I'm pretty sure I have at least a couple of times but now it will no longer work. I believe the key combination is "Volume Up" + "Home" + "Power" until the splash screen is visible then let go of the "Power" button. Am I correct? Has anybody else seen this problem with the SM-P900?

Thanks.

[Q] error into downloading mode (Samsung Galaxy s duos 2 "GT-S7582") topic

Hello

I have a phone type : Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 "GT-S7582"

My Device looks like a Locked, I can not control device settings
Such as: i can't transfer of files from the phone memory to the memory card, watch RAM and closing programs, update the system via Wi-Fi, access to factory Reset, access to the download mode.

The biggest problem, the computer can identify device, but Keys program can not identify device, and connect the device to the computer tells me, knowing that he is connected to the computer.

I experience all the solutions in over the site, I did not find a solution to this problem !!
When I use "volume up button + Home button + power button" to into Factory reset
i see "Factory Mode" But for TESTING not for reset the phone

"( Image for clarification )"

I said to myself, maybe I need to restore factory settings, but unfortunately this is not a solution to the problem, because i work to restore factory settings through the device settings and did not solve the problem.

So I've downloaded the Rom official of the device from the site "SamMobile"
and I've downloaded "Odin Program" For the installation of the device rum
And When i want to enter "downloading mode" so I could not.
The program Odin does not recognize the device because of not being able to access "Downloading Mode" like Keys program even though The computer recognizes the device and I can access files across computer.

"( Image for clarification )"

Please dear I want a solution to this problem
I searched the Internet and in this site for a solution for 7 days to write this problem before
I apologize because I do not speak English well, and use the "Google translate" for the most part I try to put
The problem in detail and more accurate

Thank you for helping me a wonderful community

[Q] TF 700 only boots into TWRP - please advise this NOOB! topic

Greetings -

I have an unlocked TF700 (twrp v 2.5.0.0) and I was running cromi-x. it began to crash a lot so i tried to flash a new rom and i must've done something wrong because now the tablet will not boot up. I can get into twrp and perform the options listed (install, backup, restore, wipe, mount, settings, advanced, reboot) but nothing seems to help. I haven't played with this in probably 6 months so i'm not sure where to start. Navigating these forums is like reading latin to me. I'm sure there is an explanation for this but I can't find it. Can some one link me to an existing thread if this has been discusses previously or help me out? I can't seem to get anything working on this and it's driving me crazy. I know I need to provide extra information to help identify this issue but i'm not sure what that info that is. Any help would be appreciated!

Also, I've tried a factory reset from twrp as well and it gives me the following messages
E:unable to mount '/external_sdcard
Updating partition details...
E:Mount: Unable to find partition, for path '/'

When I reboot following this, it takes me directly to TWRP.

I'm guessing my tablet can't find my SD card? Maybe that's an easy fix?

Thanks everyone for looking at this and thanks for anyone that takes some time to educate me.

[Q] Cannot Boot Into Recovery topic

I cannot boot the device into Recovery mode. If I attempt to the device stays on the Samsung boot screen. Since I have gotten the device all I have done is rooted the device and it is running android version 2.2

When I put the device into download mode it is not recognised by my computer (tried using Windows 7, 8.1 and 10 build 9926) and Odin (v3.38) does not register that the device has been plugged in. In Device Manager I get Unknown USB Device (Device failed Enumeration). Re-installing drivers and the device does nothing to fix this.

Any assistance with this issue would be welcomed.

~Edit - The device is not booting at all now. It is stick on the Samsung Boot Screen.

[Q] Can't boot into recovery mode. Wifi won't turn on. topic

After updating from cm-10.1.3-find5 to cm-12-20150224-NIGHTLY-find5, I was stuck with the message Turing on Wi-Fi..., so I started playing around in TWRP recovery, wiping and reinstalling like a true noob. Eventually I was warned that "there is no system" and strode ahead where angels fear to tread...

Now I have CM12...NIGHTLY running, with no wi-fi, and cannot get to recovery. I've tried holding volume-down+power until my both thumbs and fingers are blue, but always return to the CM12 home screen.

Next, I used adb to install ROM Manager, but it can't update either Clockwork or TWRP since the wi-fi won't turn on.

However, I can use adb to fastboot and have tried flashing with recovery files of different types (Clockwork/TWRP).
But on reboot, the Find5 displays the logo waits and then displays the logo again and reboots to CM12.

Code:

fastboot reboot
adb reboot recovery

I think something internal is broken:
adb logcat is reporting
F/libc ( 4873): Fatal signal 11 (SIGSEGV), code 1, fault addr 0x8 in tid 4873 (gsiff_daemon)

So I'm attaching a bugreport. Any help is much appreciated!

MOTO G 1st GEN XT1032 KOODO Will not Boot into Rom topic

As the title says, my device will not boot into ROM.
To elaborate, the device lights up showing the Motorola logo and then followed by a brief vibration and goes directly into Recovery.
I've tried using a factory image, but ultimately it didn't work. I used the "(Moto G LTE) RETAIL-CA-SS_4.4.3_KXB21.14-L1.23-4_cid14_CFC_1FF.xml.zip" to attempt to return back to factory but I'm now wondering if that was even the right one to use.
I've tried flashing custom roms but those don't work, I've spent almost an entire morning attempting to fix it but now I've given up and now asking for assistance.

[Q] Everything puts phone into bootloop topic

Hey all,

I had a thread a while ago regarding how to get out of bootloop, now I seem to have a different issue so I wanted to make a new thread to refine the details of the problem.

These are the current settings, the only ones that work, but the rom has to be kept in airplane mode to avoid errors displaying

Phone = Huawei Honor 6 16GB (H60-L02) FDD-LTE
Bootloader = Unlocked
Recovery = CWM 6.0.5.1 exFAT
Rom = MIUI v4.9.6 (miui_hw60_slydermi_4.9.6_6c22a194a4_4.4.zip) Downloaded from the official miui website

I have tried to use the honor6 multi tool to flash different recoveries (official/stock) and none work except the above CWM version.
I have also tried to flash different roms, mainly from needrom.com and what i could download from this chinese forum

Note i have also been following tutorials in this thread
in an attempt to get back the stock rom, mainly the two sections
3 Button Restore not working and full restore method

I am unsure what step to take next, everything puts my phone into a bootloop, i would happily go back to stock recovery/rom but again they cause bootloops too

my last guess is it might have something to do with Build & Local Prop files? im not entirely sure what they are or how to use them.

thanks for any help offered!

Pls help on my moto360 problem - can not boot into Android wear OS now topic

Dear Okibi & Friends,
I’ve tried to install your rom code successfully BUT it can not pass the 1st boot to log in to Android wear OS. Then, I’ve tried to connect it into my PC (with windows 7, 64bits) to recover it and install the rom code again. The PC only recognized it as “F100” device from Device Manager table. Then it installed the driver as a “Motorola USB networking ”driver” and can not recognize it under ADB/Fastboot. So it almost can not do anything now except continuous booting until the battery is exhausted. Pls help me on this case with advised steps to recover my moto360 back so that I can install your rom code again. Tks okibi a lot and really appreciate for your kindly supports!!!
Tks All!

[Q] Can't Get Into Recovery Or Download Mode topic

So I bought 2 broken Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 from a friend knowing that the screens were cracked and that there were pass codes but I just figured I could replace the screens and then wipe them. Fast forward to today and I got one fixed but it won't go into recovery or download mode. I do the right button sequences for each one and but it just boots up as normal. All the buttons function and I tested them with the device on but no matter what I do it just starts up as normal. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do?

Watchmaker help. Text box to show 15 min into future? topic

Just wondering if anyone knows how to add a minute text box that will show the minutes time 15 minutes into the future. I'm a supervisor at work and when giving people their 15 minute break it would be extremely helpful to glance at my watch real fast to let them know what time to be back. Possible? Thanks

HELP! Water got into my TrueSmart, now the screen is white! topic

I recently updated my watch from 4.2.2 to 4.4 thanks to Kuronosan, but now water has entered my watch and the screen doesnt work. I will keep my watch in a bowl of rice overnight, but I'm not sure that will fix it. I have Mobizen installed on there and I am able to see that my watch is fully functioning, just that the screen is white.

What are my chances of repairing my watch?

[Q] Please help me boot my (maybe bricked) Z3 D6033 into recovery topic

Thanks for reading my plea for help :fingers-crossed:

I did a perfect unlocking bootloader, downgrading and then rooted with giefroot . I finally installed xzdualrecovery with great success. I felt smart, really smart (I cant imagine how the people feels who figure these things out).

Unfortunately from here things went south at an epic speed. Next I booted into recovery with an attempt to flash the Candy05 rom.

So I:
  1. I booted into Phils Touch recovery.

  1. Wiped the directories as per guide.

  1. Attempted installing the ZIP.

  1. It failed (I cant remember the error but it was immediately after I hit install).

  1. I rebooted and this is when I became stuck.

I cannot enter recovery anymore it goes to the Sony logo screen almost immediately. The only thing I can do is enter fastboot. However, I tried to flash my system (assuming this is wiped) to stock system with not luck, I get this message :

Code:

jason@jason-MS-7672:~/Downloads/FlashTool$ sudo fastboot flash system /home/jason/Documents/Z3/stock/system.sin
sending 'system' (1791219 KB)...
FAILED (remote: data too large)
finished. total time: 0.002s
jason@jason-MS-7672:~/Downloads/FlashTool$

I sincerely appreciate help in the right direction.

Nexus 7 2012 can't log into google account topic

I just bought a nexus with cyanogenmod 4.4.4 on it, but it won't log into my google account. It comes up with the error:

Can't establish a reliable connection to the server.
This could be a temporary problem. Try again or connect to another Wi-Fi network.

I already factory reset it. What should I try now? I've tried different google accounts
