Is to possible to remotely forward the voice calls to and from a rooted android phone to the PC?

I mean totally remote calling without bluetooth headset via a TCP/IP network.

I heard about groove. Is that the best app for that? Going on a cruise but I saw some of the ports have free wifi. I was going to try to call home like that.

This is a cry for help, from me and the other NOOBs out here, new to the theming world with no idea where to begin.

I started out with a problem. I hate the UI on my Note Edge Lollipop, as compared to the stock Lollipop ASOP UI. I started about trying to change the entire UI (icons, menus, fonts, notification drawer, app drawer etc) to stock ASOP Lollipop UI. I am not rooted.

I AM LOST. No idea which guide to follow. Don't want to change my launcher. I would prefer not to root, would prefer not to void my warranty, would just prefer to screw around as less as possible while getting as close to stock Lollipop as possible.

And I know there are others around me. So here I am, on behalf of the noobs, requesting all experts to provide a starting point from where to begin changing the UI - completely, with as little messing around as possible. Not just to ASOP but to any other UI that someone else might prefer. Please explain this to us like we are 3 year olds.

Ps. This will not work if only the experts contribute. Everyone here who has something to contribute please do!

Ps. Mods I looked and searched for days. I know there are guides out there but I wanted something Note Edge and Lollipop specific.

Lollipop quick circle and WiFi calling topic

So I was wondering should I wait for the official ROM for my g3 or does cm12 have ways to support WiFi calling and my quick circle case? If so how? I want lollipop bad but I like having root etc. I use skydragon 1.1.0 that has root and still stock items on ROM. Also I have nova prime and was wondering could anyone recommended a launcher that looks more graphical and etc I like nova but I'd like to have a 2nd option.

• A rooted device

• Latest whatsapp apk from whatsapp.com/android or play store

• Android 5.0.x

Below is the method to unlock this feature. Root device is required to use this feature.
Method :

Step 1 – Extract files and install the whatsapp apk provided below .
Step 2 – Now install the apk for “Enabling Whatsapp Calling Feature” within extracted file.
Step 3 – Run the Apk downloaded and installed in step 2 Give whatapp superuser permission.
Step 4 – It’s Done. Calling Feature is Enabled.

3. Add these 2 lines anywhere in the file but within the <map></map> and save

4. Then go to Settings/Apps/Whatsapp and force stop it !
5. Open the app again


Note: Activation is successfull but now you cant call because whatsapp call servers down now. And when will be opened, you can call...

[Q] No WiFi networks are detected when scanning and calling does not work either topic

Hi all,

I have a second hand GT-n7000 in my possession.
For some reason, I am not able to detect any WiFi networks nor able to call anyone. This phone has never been rooted and is using the original rom and recovery.
If anyone has any suggestions or tips that might help me find out why the Galaxy Note is not detecting any WiFi networks, please let me know!

Also, if someone could post a picture of the inside of their stock battery cover, I would highly appreciate it.

Follow this steps to activate Whatsapp voice calling feature on any Android device.

• Download latest Whatsapp app from here.


• Uninstall older version and reinstall downloaded whatsapp.


• Say your friend who get Whatsapp calling feture invitation and you're done!

You can also try this method.

After installing whatsapp, Open Root Explorer or Es file Explorer and Go to Data > Data > com.whatsapp > shared_prefs > com.whatsapp_preferences.xml

I believe I have fixed the phone call system on the Samsung Galaxy Light SGHT399 I can call and receive calls now. Try it. Link to download will be posted shortly I take no credit for the creation of the ROM or its contents. Let me know if it works for you.

Video calling? topic

I just noticed this this morning. When I end a call there's an option to make a video call? I've never seen that before although I know it would show up on international based roms when I had my Note 3.

Bluetooth drops when calling out or receiving topic

Hi everyone,

Probably a longshot but here goes.

I have a Plantronics Voyager Legend bluetooth ear-piece. It pairs well and the sound is awesome. Some while ago I started having some problems though that the piece disconnects/drops when I receive or dial out. It's fixed by pushing the 'headset' button again to connect but it's quite irritating that I have to do this everytime. I have tried a lot of roms and kernels without avail. Most of them just made the bluetoothproblem worse or made the bluetooth fail totally. I am now running ArchiDroid V1.7.18 with boeflla kernel and it's the same problem as I had with original Stock.

Anyone else had this problem? Haven't had the opportunity to try with any other bluetooth device in case it's the plantronics that's the problem. Is there an app that can keep the connection alive even when I get calls?
I am suspecting that this might be a hardware problem but hope is the last thing that leaves us ;)

Seems to be a lot of bluetooth-problems for the S3 if you look at the search-results but my particular problem don't seem to be mentioned what I've seen.
