[Flashing Guide]

• 1. Reboot to CWM/TWRP recovery


• 2. Flash ROM zip file


• 3. Flash Gapps


• 4. Reboot

* Wipe data first if you come from another rom *
* Newer boot loader, modem and recovery is highly recommended (don't use twrp 2.8.4, use 2.8.1 instead) *
* No other kernel will be supported, use the stock one, for your best experiences too *

So i dexided to call it alpha build.

[Q] How ro build Lollipop on OS X 10.10 Yosemite topic

My apologies if this is in completely the wrong place.

I'm trying to setup OS X 10.10 to build Cyanogenmod 12 on my mac. I've read a number of tutorials on this and none seem to work fully.

They either say to use Macports or Homebrew of which I've tried both. Some say to use X-Code 5 but the latest version of Yosemite I'm using says that it can't us those command line tools because they are outdated and says to use v6 which I have also tried.

I'm quite used to building it in Ubuntu but OS X I'm falling flat on my face every time!

The only error I see overtime is about Darwen being unrecognised HOST OS, so I don't know if thats the reason or not.

Another one that is coming up is make:

*** No rule to make target `/Volumes/Builds/cm12/out/host/darwin-x86/bin/make_f2fs', needed by `/Volumes/Builds/cm12/out/target/product/otter2/obj/PACKAGING/systemimage_intermediates/system.img'. Stop.

Is this something I can fix easily?

Can anybody help me get it setup to build on Mac please?

Sorry for the question. I'm struggling to understand the requirements. My Note 3 is locked to EE. If I install the unbranded Lollipop 5 on this will it cause issues? Does the SIM lock have any affect on the ROM?

Hi,
I want to build AOSP including google apps/services to make a similar factory image as possible as.
First time, I just build a AOSP with sevral google apps but It's very insufficient.

I can see some error logs because of missing libraries, apks.
and I found that many proprietary blobs are not founded on AOSP.
Maybe I can porting it one by one manually , but it seems very annoying work...

I just want to build AOSP with google apps for nexus 5 5.0.1.
I'm a noob and worry about my silly question.
Are there any easy way for it?
Also very little tweaked custum rom should helped me.

[Q] LG E975: build CM 12 - heap of questions topic

In general there is device LG E975, collect for it Cyanogenmod 12.
Questions:

1. There is a folder vendor/device/lge/e975 (from it all is copied in/system), resources after a command make are replaced on standard, for example/system/bin/dhcpcd. How to correct?


2. At usage make-jx all files are compiled in system.img instead of cm12/out/target/product/e975/system, because of it there is no possibility to correct resources. How it too to correct? The block assembly is disconnected in makefile.


3. Than differs make otapackage from make updatepackage?


4. What drivers and libraries are responsible for the camera in LG E975?


5. We admit there is other kernel, want to replace it with the where what to correct that kernel Solid_Kernel instead of a sink of kernel Cyanogenmod 12 gathered?

build bumped CWM for FS60? topic

HI guys,
we are the only lg g3 users with FS60 without a bumped cwm recovery. If no one is making it any tips on how to build your own ?
The tutorials in the web is outdated . Perhaps some of the guys who have built one could share a few pointers as which source to use etc..

[CM12][APPS] Replacements for Google Apps for cars1189's CM12 build topic

I figured out what @cars1189 posted minutes ago in his CM12 thread, that it will really slow down the device when you flash the GApps with the rom since the Exhibit 4G's system stuff are kinda old and stuff and needed to be tweaked, therefore for maximum performance on a daily basis, it has to be used without it.

By the way, Here's the link to the ROM.

With that in mind, here are my suggestions for apps that replace the Google Apps.

Camera:
Stock Camera or any other Camera app.

Camcorder:
Stock Camera or I'll look for a Camcorder app in an app store

Google Play App Store:
I am using Aptoide. 1mobile and mobogenie works. Just make sure Unknown Sources is checked in Dev options.

Youtube:
TubeMate (from Android Freeware) and FreeDi. FreeDi can be played through background.
You can watch YT Videos on UC Browser Too.

Maps:
Waze. Nuff said, bro.

Music:
Stock music app or 3rd party music app like PowerAMP or MX Player

Fit:
I've been using Runtastic.

Sheets, Docs, and Slides:
WPS Office.

Chrome:
Stock Browser (though that browser sucked)
I also suggested UC, UC Mini, CM Browser and Firefox.

Launcher:
Either Trebuchet Launcher3 or KK Launcher.

Google+:
Man, I don't know.... I will look for a 3rd party app that doesn't use Google Services, but an external service.

Gmail:
You can check Gmail using UC Browser.

Drive:
You can add a Google Drive account and view your files using ES File Explorer

Share some suggestions for apps that DO NOT NEED GOOGLE SERVICES OR GAPPS!
So you can use @cars1189 's CM12 Build! And remember, DO NOT FLASH GAPPS FOR CZUZ IT'S RECOMMENDED!!!!

I had a problem on my htc desire 816 with google services to resolve this. i do somtings and now on the device this build is for development purposes only.Do not distrubute outside of HTC without htcs written permission. failure to comply may lead to legal action. cant boot into the bootloader. and cant turn the device of. please help me !
