Hello guys, please help a newbie out.
I have an HTC m8 Google Play edition. Not a converted sense m8 but an actual GPe.
Until now I only used nexus phones, but the nexus 6 is too big for me. So I got this m8 GPe thinking that I'm familiar with nexuses (nexii? whatever) and a GPe would be the next best thing. Sadly I discovered they lack a safety net a nexus phone has that I have have had to rely on many, many times: the factory image.
You see, no matter how bad I screwed my phone, I could always flash a full factory image from Google and my phone would be back and running in no time.
So seeing that neither Google nor HTC provide factory images for the HTC One m8 GPe, how can I get back to a working phone from a soft bricked boot loop with some fastboot commands?
tl;dr: What's the alternative to a nexus factory image for an m8 gpe, and how is it used?
