Noob's Confused with Kindle Fire OS topic

Hi I am a total noob when it comes to the Kindle Fire HDX. I have been trying to keep upto date as regards rooting this device (I have the Kindle Fire HDX 7") and like it except for the Operating Software.
When I look at threads regards to rooting I was getting very "noob confused" as regards to the OS versions because all I see (mostly) is reference to Versions 13.x.x.x or 14.x.x.x and could not undersatnd where the 13 or 14 came from because when I look at my version of OS all I see is 4.5.2 can not see a 13 or 14 mentioned on my Kindle.

So I had a good look at my Kindle and eventualy found that when I go to: settings, system updates and tap on the words "your device is running" I now see 13.4.5.2_user_452004220 there has been no mention on any of the threads regards how to get the full OS version so this is why I posted this.

I want to root my device but I am holding off because of the possible problems at the moment I intend to gather as much information before I attempt but I do think there will be a full proof way of doing it in the future especialy for noob's like me.

Can any member tell me if the 13/14 is the year ??
and what the number is after the word user ??

Confused on how to return to stock ROM - Wind/Canada topic

Hi,

I've been searching for the last 3 hours on how to return to the stock ROM for HTC One M8.

I was previously on an older version of Android Revolution running 4.2.2 - I decided to update to the latest version of Android Revolution and it broke many things - including WiFi.

I know to fix this, I need to go back to OTA ROM and then update the firmware from there in order to be able to use these roms running Lollipop.

Unfortunately, I have no idea how to get started... I've been looking everywhere.

Keep in mind I can also use a Telus (Canada as well) rom.

Any help appreciated.

Help. Confused. Klte and kltedx topic

Hi. Good day guys. Im new here. And im using G-900F. Upon looking at my phone info(screenshot). The device type is "klte" and product name is "kltedx". Question. If im about to flash a cyanogenmod or aosp roms. What should I follow or depend on? The klte or kltedx? Because im confuse s5 is classified into diffrent types. kltespr, kltexx etc. And mine is klte and kltedx.

[Q] CM and HDR.... confused topic

Hi all,

First of all thanks arco and all the developers and forum users who support and give their time to develop this android toy or keep threads daily. I have spend lot of time playing with other developers ROMs but basically 90% of the time I have been using stock or CM 10 / CM 11 roms.

After updating with lots of snapshot and nightly CM releases, I'm confused with the HDR issue. It is a native feature in stocks, but it is not working in any CM realease. Not only in this particular device, after googleing a lot I found it is something common in CM roms.

Please I do not want to anoy anyone, I just would like someone to explain why is HDR not working? Is there any CM version with working HDR camera? It's really a pitty for me a lover of picturing with HDR and a fan of CM roms for all what they provide over the Stocks, not being able to join both worlds HDR and CM :(
