[Q] root verizon Samsung Galaxy note3 sm900v 4.4.4 question topic

Stock verizon note3 sm900v
Android 4.4.4

I'm not finding much in ways of options for root currently. Is it possible to flash my phone back to 4.4.2, root once there, then sideload 4.4.4? Using something like Odin maybe?
