I got my nexus 7 grouper a few days ago and I'm planning on installing it in a Mitsubishi and I just have a couple questions before I perm-install it. Yes I have been searching and researching just wondering if theres any new info .
1 what is better pogo charging or usb y cable? i can print a small mount for the pogo pins i'm just curious if it's worth it.
2 what should I be charging at? i've seen posts about the random cables not charging. so I've been testing a few and the odd thing is its hit and miss in the car im suspecting the modded adapter is the problem but with gps on music on and the screen on the most ive seen is 200-300 ma charging based on the battery monitor widget app. The adapter puts out 3 amps but the cable doesn't seem to like it. so sometimes it will charge good and sometimes it will discharge.
3 is there any advice on installing? I think I'm ok but I just want to make sure I do it right. I still need my buck converter and my hub
4 is a DAC worth it? I think my audio is ok without but i do hear clipping in the radio when i use the tablet im thinking thats noise from the jack would a DAC solve this?
