[Q] questions about Installing the latest ruu topic

I am currently on vipeone rom (kitkat), and i want to install the latest ruu (lollipop), will i loose root ? and will the Sim re-lock (using on gsm) ? and do i have to re-lock boot-loader even though I'm s-off ?? and will i be able to use custom kernels ? .
