I made an automatic heating control that heats my room up, if my OnePlus is at home in my WLAN. I ping the device every 5 minutes and check if there is a response.
On Android KitKat the device responded every time to the ping, even if the screen was off. But after the Lollipop update the devices doesn't respond to my pings if it's in standby (screen turned off).
What was changed in Android Lollipop regarding WLAN standby? How can I force a response by the Android device?
