[Q] Any app that actually kills a phone when it's stolen? topic

Long story short, a friend of mine got his phone stolen and the only thing he could do was use Device Manager to get his phone wiped.

I thought if we could actually kill the phone by wiping sensitive partitions (like boot, efs, modem, etc) then we could render the phone useless for most people.

I like AVG Anti-Theft Protection which installs as a system app (so it can survive to a simple wipe) and detects when the sim card is changed and can alert you in that case but obviously it doesn't do what I'm looking for here.

Is there any app that actually renders the phone useless?
