Otg on moto e topic

I saw a post on the net related to qualcomm hidden settings on moto e,moto g, and moto x. This settings can be enabled by using nova launcher on moto e. In that setting there is an option "USB storage : disabled".This can be enabled by clicking the check box. Is this related to otg support? Can anyone say me what it is?
Note: This setting can only be enabled on stock rom.
