Next phone topic

My wife's phone held strong for 2 years, thanks to the development efforts of ckpv5, but it started falling apart in the last few months and I had to finally get her an upgrade.

After looking at a lot of phones, she finally picked the Samsung Galaxy A5 last week. Though I was a little concerned, since I have a Note 2 and I'm not a fan of Samsung's build quality and the infamous TouchWiz UI, the A5 is a pretty well built device. And the UI too is much more polished than what's on the Note 2. It's more like a stripped down version of the S5 ROM. And it's super smooth.

2 things to consider about the phone though -
1) It doesn't have a notification led! Yes. You read that right. It's the stupidest thing ever. Samsung designers were high on something when they made this, I guess. Because it's also super thin and all metal. Yup. But it still doesn't justify the lack of a notification led.
2) The camera is exposed too much, that when you place it flat, the glass is touching the surface that it's on. They should have pushed the glass inside a little bit. Hoping it doesn't get scratched easily.

Apart from that, she's very happy with the phone. I thought I'd suggest it here in case anyone else is in the market for an upgrade.
