This may be a question I should ask in another section so meds feel free to move and my apologies in advance.
I know this phone is 802.11N and is capable of 300Mbps transfer rates (I think its ac network capable also, right?). I'm definitely not getting close to 300 on my LAN, that's fine since my computer needs a new card as it's only 10/100 right now. Still, I'm lucky to get over 15-20Mbps over my LAN with no traffic, local or otherwise. My tower is wired to the router and my phone is using 5GHz so interference shouldn't be a factor here.
Any ideas? I go to concerts and also take a lot of videos me pictures of my little girl so transferring them to my tower should be quickest via WiFi. Any chance I can use my USB WiFi adapter and bridge the connections for better LAN speeds? If so, how?
Lastly, I'm using the gigabit router provided by Comcast, so that shouldn't be the issue. Soon, I shall have the almighty Google Fiber!! I do have a Buffalo DD-WRT gigabit router (b/g/n/ac) that I can use if anyone thinks that would be the better option. I can provide whatever details needed to help. I know I need to get a 10/100/1000 card but I think I should still get well above 20Mbps with the one I have.
Sorry for the long post guys, I appreciate the help. This community has always been great!
