Ad hoc compatible rom topic

I have an ar drone that connects to a tablet via an ad hoc WiFi network. I have cm11 loaded on my nexus 7 flo and I can see the drone, but it won't connect. What rom specifically should I be using, what kernel has ibss turned on it it?
